“We hired Anthony & Sylvan to build our pool, and after more than two years of dealing with problems, we feel compelled to share our experience. What should have been an exciting project has turned into a frustrating and exhausting process involving numerous company employees and representatives and countless attempts to address ongoing issues. The most significant problems involve the plaster, the deck, and the spa tile. Company representatives have informed us that the plaster and deck need to be redone. In addition, when other repairs were being performed, the spa tile was damaged. Attempts to correct that damage left the tile in worse condition than before. (See pictures of uneven, non-level tile.) These are only the most significant issues. There have been many other problems throughout the process, most of which remain in need of repair. (Our in floor cleaning system does not function properly, our auto fill is not functioning, our basketball sleeve was improperly mounted into the deck and thus not usable, and those are just a few examples.) We have spent more than two years documenting issues, communicating with various representatives, and trying to obtain satisfactory r”

What was sold to us as an 8–12 week pool build has turned into a 7-month ordeal for what is a relatively straightforward residential pool project. Ground was broken in October, yet it took seven months to complete the basic construction, and even now the project is still not truly finished because warranty issues remain unresolved. This is not simply a missed deadline—it is a complete failure to deliver on the commitments made during the sales process. What makes this even more frustrating is that Anthony & Sylvan had no problem getting paid. Every time they submitted a payment request to the financing company, those invoices were paid promptly and in full. In fact, Anthony & Sylvan received payment for the project months before the work was actually completed, while we continued waiting for construction to finish. They had our money, but we were still left waiting on the product we were promised. The project management from the Dallas office was consistently disappointing. Deadlines came and went with little or no communication. Promises were repeatedly ma”

“North Texas, choose Anthony & Sylvan and contact Francesca, our Design Consultant, to get your pool design and quote started! What an EASY process it has been from the start working with Francesca. Francesca took the time to listen to our vision, made good recommendations for our space and executed a beautiful rendering for us. WE LOVE IT! Our price point was met even with all the bells and whistles we added. This exceeded our expectations and we cannot believe what we received compared to competitors. Their office, field representatives and the showroom for finishes are local. As my husband and I are pretty involved with the process, this was important. A & S has delivered good communication and a quick response time - we appreciate that! The Town of Prosper inspector came in yesterday and approved the steel application, and we are ready to move along with gunite after they install our jets next week. We don't have a large backyard, so we pre-planned and prepared space in our backyard for our 2 pups. It hasn't been a terrible process at all. “Initial Review: We interviewed quite a few pool builders before meeting Francesca Murray with A&S to design and install our pool and hot tub. She was very helpful in guiding our design and materials selection; with her help in color selections and value engineering, we are looking forward to what has become more of a 'backyard resort' feel get rather than just another pool. 8/21/23 Update : We have been posting pictures as the pool is progressing and wish I had another I could post. We did change the material for the surround, but since that change was requested 3 weeks ago, there hasn't been any substantial progress towards completion. Communication regarding what happens next and when have been more of a pull and getting questions eventually answered, rather than proactive updates from Anthony Sylvan. 9/5/23 Update: Travertine install was completed on 8/25. Since then, more waiting. Fence may be completed this week. So maybe another 3-4 weeks before we have a functioning pool?
