Pool Service Pro · Flower Mound, TX
About
Poolwerx Flower Mound handles pool and spa service, repair, and remodeling work in Flower Mound, Texas. The family-run operation lists Rick Condra as owner and involves Rick, Kim, and store manager Nick across residential and commercial accounts. Services cover regular pool cleaning, chemical balancing, equipment checks, inspections, installations, and repairs for pools, spas, and related items such as pumps, filters, timers, heaters, and robotic vacuums.
Customers report bringing water samples for chemistry testing that produces fast digital results including borate levels, which then guide fixes like filter replacement or pump adjustments. Rick and Kim have arranged replacement cleaners after original units failed, sent technicians for same-day timer repairs, and helped source vacuum parts when customers arrived with photos but no part numbers. New owners mention receiving guidance on maintenance routines and some free introductory sessions that covered basic care steps.
Reviewers note extended hours that fit last-minute needs, quick stock of common parts for on-site fixes, and weekly service visits that include detailed treatment reports sent afterward. Communication comes through as direct with fair pricing mentioned across multiple accounts, and the shop serves local residential and commercial clients who value the immediate test results and follow-up on equipment issues.
The business carries a Google rating of 4.4 from 44 reviews. Recurring comments focus on staff knowledge during water tests and repairs plus helpful advice for ongoing pool care, with a smaller number of accounts noting frustration over charges when quoted work such as panel replacement did not occur.

What Customers Say
“This should be YOUR pool store! Highly recommend!!! I just started this Pool thing on my own and they have been so helpful time after time after time they are educating me on what I need to do better! Thank you Poolwerx!”
“Poolwerx is the ONE. I go every Saturday morning to have my water chemistry checked, everyone is so nice, knowledgeable and the prices are great. Don’t waste your time anyplace else!!”
“Don’t waste your $100. We knew re heater was out. Called Poolwerx out to provide an estimate as previous homeowners suggested them for a 4 year old Calspa. Service tech happily charged $100 to confirm heater needed replaced then never provided a quote. Husband followed up multiple times. 1 time to store. 2 times to tech cell/text. Zero response. Total waste of $100.”
“As a new pool owner, their free pool 101 type service was extremely helpful. I also visit them regularly to check my water chemistry. Highly recommended!”
“Rick and Kim are great to work with! Knowledgeable and timely, the company gets the job done right! I had an issue with a cleaner and they could not resolve it. However, instead of giving up, Kim worked with the rep to get me a replacement cleaner. I could not be happier!”
“On two occasions, my dad and I went up there to get the water tested so we can diagnose what was going on with the filtration system of our pool. Both times they tested and gave us results immediately, and both methods of resolution given were very effective. Because of their efforts we were able to establish that our filter needed replacement. The young lady at the front advised that it’s more than likely the problem with the filter. She was on point! This was there second time going up there. The fact that they know what they’re talking about polite and fairly priced is the reason why I will continue to do business here. Great place and staff.”
“Charged me $100 for "expertise" to program the pool pump. The normal timing wall panel went out and I had forgotten the new pump had a panel of its own. I'm away for months at a time and when I came home the pump had been"expertly" programmed to run from 8am to 9am. The original quote was for $300 to replace the control wall panel and instead I got my pump programmed to run for an hour a day for $100. I get why they would try to save me the $200 but there was no follow up. The technician went into my backyard, programmed, and later I received an email invoice. I would have preferred that the wall unit be replaced because it's old and rusty and provides power to the pump and the sprinkler system. Since I didn't get a follow up on the work to be performed, I now have to get another quote for the wall panel.”
“Purchased a new Polaris robotic pool vacuum. Owners were very friendly and knowledgeable. Recently I had an issue with pool timer I called and Kim sent someone out it was repaired immediately. I will return and would recommend.”
“We are a military family and my husband is on Active Duty orders: He ordered to replace a part (wall panel) and wanted to pay in full ($300 plus). Long story short, we were charged $100 to program our pool pump!!!! PoolWerx is saying we didn’t need to replace our wall panel - but we WANTED it replaced because it’s very old! We received a $300 quote and we AGREED to replace it! “JUST DO IT!” If you’re going to deviate from the quote - contact us! THIS is customer service! The meaning behind the statement is “They need to understand why the customer is upset” as opposed to sticking to their “canned corporate line of we’re experts”! We hope they are! But don’t charge us for something we didn’t ask for! Here’s my husbands email response to their canned statement: To PoolWerx: “He probably intended to set it for 12 hours but he didn't. While I was away, I called in to ask if the pool was running and the answer was no. The other answer was "I think, sometimes." When I finally saw it for myself, it was programmed from 8 am to 9 am. And I could only assume he meant to program it from 8 am to 9 pm. I called in to express my unhappiness and just because he answered my quest”
“Family run business and great people. They take care of our pool as if it was their very own. They send a useful treatment report after each weekly service and spend the necessary time to maintain the pool. We had needed work to do after our last "pool guy" spent more time billing and talking than doing any work. There are a lot of individuals/companies pretending to clean pools; Poolwerx Flower Mound actually performs. Highly recommend, especially if you are looking to make a change.”
“These folks do a great job at customer service. Very helpful advice for pool care. I used to shop at Leslie’s but switched and I’m very satisfied with their service.”
“Went in today just for a simple part for my vacuum. I had no idea what i needed but I had pictures! They took there time and helped me find the right part. This is a great place and I will come back. Seemed like they really cared.”
“Poolwerx does pool Water Testing the right way, with more accurate digital testing instead of pretending to be able to figure out numbers from Color matching using test strips or how well you can see a dot on the bottom Of a tube. (Tests I can do at home but can’t pretend to give accurate numbers ) Unlike Leslie’s their tests include Borate measurements, which I need to know more Than simple Ph or Alkalinity.”
“Was a great store. When I called today to check on the status of my backordered chemicals, I was told the business had been sold and was under a new owner/name. Unfortunately, they knew nothing about my outstanding order so I may be out quite a bit of money now. New store is called PoolWerx and is a family business. They were very nice and offered to help make the situation right which is a big plus for me.”
“Store Manager Nick is so professional and friendly. I have never had a bad experience at this store buying product or having my pool cleaned. Highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed.”
“Kim and Rick are amazing people. Very honest, friendly, professional and very helpful. Good family owned business. Not a typical franchise. Highly recommend it!”
“Excellent customer service and great knowledge. They did a great job on figuring out our pump issue and making necessary repairs. Highly recommend!!”
“I’d give Rick Condra the owner of PoolWerx 10 stars if I could, he is otherworldly amazing. I had been a regular at Leslie’s in all the years I’ve lived here not ever searching around for another pool place until a few months ago when my pool motor went unresponsive and they didn’t have the part. I found PoolWerx after a google search and was pleased that not only did they have the part but they were also closer to my neighborhood. I took in the busted capacitor that had swelled up inside its casing and not only did Rick take the time to wedge it out, he talked with me afterward to arm me with enough pool knowledge for a successful fix. Another example is more recently I was in a pinch where he went above and beyond with a massive assist on another pool related situation, incredibly grateful for his help. Bottom line with Rick and PoolWerx is 1) they know what they’re talking about, 2) they genuinely care 3) they’re trustworthy Never once did I get a CYA or generalized non-answer answer on anything I asked, even the most basic questions. He was especially great at understanding what I was talking about when I didn’t know the exact vocab/lingo to describe what I was trying t”
“Great hours - KMK always seems to be open when I need them. Plus they have lots of parts in stock and are always ready to help with a quick repair. Highly recommended!”
“This place is unbelievably helpful. The service and knowledge is top notch. Don't be afraid of your pool - come ask questions and they will help you keep it running or get it back up and running.”
