“I have been using them for several years. Before leaving for Europe for 3 weeks, I told the owner, Mike, via phone, that I was ok moving to weekly service. Two weeks later, while I was at a retreat for 4 days where no electronics were allowed (in Europe) I was emailed 3 times in 48 hours asking me to confirm I wanted weekly treatment. The second email was just a forward of the first email with no message. The third was from the owner on the same day as the second email. I responded on the second day stating that, per my conversation with Mike, I wanted weekly treatment. I also expressed that I thought 3 emails in 48 hours on something I had already confirmed was excessive. I said if they needed anything else to please contact my husband or text me. They sent another email asking for my husband’s contact info, which I admittedly missed. Today I messaged to ask when the last time they came out was as I hadn’t seen an update and they informed me that because I didn’t respond to their last email, they decided to cancel my service. They never emailed or called saying they were cancelling, they just stopped showing up. I understand my email was short and I was frustrated that I had recei”

“We asked the Lago Vista Community Bulletin Board on Facebook who was a good recommended Pool and Spa service for our new to us spa. We had a leak and the heater didn’t work. Mike and his business we’re recommended several times within minutes. Mike came out same day, diagnosed and ordered the part right away. He came back and finished the job when promised. Mike was professional, kind, fast, thorough, and all around awesome! We will use this service again in the future without hesitation and are thankful they are nearby!”

“Mike (the owner) and this crew are clearly experts when it comes to pools. Mike is an engineer and has actually taught staff at other pool service companies, before starting his own. I know a lot about pool chemistry and typically maintain my own pool, when time allows, but when I don't have time or we're gone on vacation, I want to ensure it is in dependable hands with people who fully understand pool chemistry, and Mike is that guy. Before switching to Capitol City Pools, I would actually worry about what our pool was going to look like, or how high our CYA levels were going to go. We've used several other Austin-area pool service companies over the last 10 years and had completely hit or miss results. A few times they were okay, but then they changed staff and we would come back from vacation to find five chlorine tablets sitting in our return baskets and chlorine levels through the roof (>14ppm). That will eventually destroy your equipment. We also had a pool service company mess up the direction of the return valves after cleaning the pump basket and they killed our nearly-new pump. So getting a knowledgeable pool company that is actually understands all aspects of pool chem”
