Out back Pool and Spa Creations

Out Back Pool and Spa Creations runs pool work from an address in Magnolia, Texas. Marlin owns and operates the company and they focus on custom pool builds along with refurbishing jobs. The business also takes on deck work, patio covers, landscaping, and related outdoor construction in The Woodlands and nearby spots. Their listed services cover pool design, gunite work, tile, plumbing, paver installs, and similar projects for both homes and commercial sites.

Customers describe Marlin handling full pool builds that include extra features like covers and houses. He has redone outdated pools and decks to bring them up to date, tracked down exact tile for remodels, and fixed fountain issues that earlier builders could not solve. Reviewers note jobs where he worked closely on designs to match their ideas, kept costs at the quoted amount, and delivered results that still draw compliments years later. One case involved two separate pool builds for the same client.

Marlin starts projects at 6 in the morning and stays on site to watch every step himself while remaining reachable by phone. Reviewers point out clear communication from start to finish, fair pricing with no added surprises, and steady progress without delays. The team shows up on time, responds quickly to questions, and works in The Woodlands plus surrounding areas. They avoid pressure during planning and stick to what gets agreed on.

Nine reviews give the company 5 stars each. Common points include Marlin's direct supervision, solid craftsmanship on builds and remodels, and reliable follow through on details. Reviewers also mention good value and how the finished work holds up well.

“After I purchased my house and moved to The Woodlands, Texas. I knew I was going to want a pool in the back yard with some extra features as the home did not have one. I was introduced to Marlin Nick's with Out Back Pool and Spa and what a delight he was. He worked very closely with me on the design and had fantastic ideas that were right in line with my vision and he made that vision come to life. His work is immaculate and very affordable. I will continue to use him for anything I need in the future when updating my home. I will recommend Marlin and his team to everyone. I couldn't be happier.”

“Congratulations, Marline and Family! If you're considering building a pool, look no further. With 40 years of experience, he’s been involved in thousands of projects in one capacity or another. As a nonprofit, we are required to obtain multiple bids before awarding a project, and I can confidently say that no one can compete with Marline's proposal. I know what some readers might be thinking, but rest assured, he delivers unparalleled quality and meticulous craftsmanship that we all expect from a family-owned business. What truly sets Marline apart is his hands-on approach. He personally supervises the entire project starting at 6 AM, ensuring that every detail is perfect. Unlike many companies that show up at the beginning and disappear until the end, Marline is present at every stage of the project, dedicated to excellence. I cannot express how grateful I am for Marline's contribution—not just for building a pool, but for helping us create a stunning 44-acre Recreational Community Center. His vast experience, knowledge, and wisdom guided us through the entire process, resulting in a beautiful facility that will serve our community for years to come. In the end, actions speak”

“We had our pool and patio cover built by Marlin and his team in 2023, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, Marlin was trustworthy, dependable, and easy to work with. The quality of the construction has held up beautifully over time, and we still get compliments on how everything looks. It’s clear he takes pride in his work, and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable pool builder.”

“Outback Pool & Spa Creations recently completed a full refurbishing of our outdated pool and pool deck. Their professionalism, punctuality and experienced staff are friendly and on time. Marlin, the owner, stays on top of the project every day and is just a phone call away. His 30 years in building pools and running projects shows. I highly recommend Marlin and his company. They were super communicative and responsive throughout the whole process, and the attention to detail they brought to the project was impressive. They were a pleasure to work with and the end result is just amazing. 5 stars isn't enough - they're the real deal.”

“Outback did an excellent job remodeling my pool. Marlin obtained the exact tile we needed for the job and installation was excellent. The remodel turned out the way we had hoped and at the cost that was quoted.”

“From initial concept and design thru completion and start up. I couldn't be more pleased with Outback pool. One thing I really appreciated was the no pressure sales, designing exactly what I wanted ( with some helpfull suggestions thrown in). I felt revisions were priced fairly, no " bait and switch" techniques used here. We got exactly the pool and pool house we wanted, without exception. Outback is the only pool company I will use in the future.. Stephen Crain”
