About

Town & Country Pools handles pool builds, remodels, repairs and outdoor living work in Magnolia, TX. The company takes on custom pools and spas along with patio extensions, decks, outdoor kitchens, water features, retaining walls and equipment upgrades. Dennis, Emil, Clay and Jordan lead most of the jobs mentioned by customers, while Lacey handles office calls and scheduling. They work on both new construction and fixes to existing pools, keeping projects moving from first meeting through final cleanup.

Customers describe full pool and spa builds that finish in three months, tile and plaster replacements on older hot tubs, flagstone repairs around pool decks, equipment swaps and acid washes for stains. Emil guided several first-time builders through design choices and permits, while Dennis and Jordan fixed loose grout, replaced waterline tile and suggested plaster that stopped staining. Projects often include stained rockwork, slides, grottos, infinity edges, fire pits and stamped concrete, with crews protecting homes and clearing debris each day so the yard stays usable.

Reviewers note fast callbacks, sometimes the same hour, clear updates during construction and crews that show up on time and leave the site neat. Work stays inside the Magnolia area with some jobs in nearby spots like Woodforest. Pricing comes across as straightforward, with one homeowner saying the targeted repairs cost less than full tear-outs quoted elsewhere. Communication stays consistent from start to finish, and the same technicians often return for follow-up questions on pool care.

Google shows 4.9 from 117 reviews with most customers citing quality results, quick timelines and responsive service from the named techs. One lower score mentioned leftover debris after a small repair job. Recurring comments highlight professional crews, attention to detail on finishes and the ability to handle both large builds and targeted fixes without major delays. DIRT Score 4.7 from reviews on Finds.

“WOW! Town and Country Pools is the BEST! They renovated the tile falling off the hot tub surroun on our existing pool. They selected a stone tile that matched seamlessly with our coping and repaired some other areas. Our pool now looks brand new and updated! They were easy to work with and got the project completed quickly. We liked working with them so much, we upgraded some of our pool equipment as well. Thank you again to Clay and Jordan for all of your help!”

“I cannot say enough good things about this company and I will say I recommend them 1000x over—This was our very first pool build and I was a little nervous going into it because I had heard horror stories from other people…I called a few other places that told me the pools were taking anywhere from 6-10 months to complete and on top of that a 2 month wait before they’d even get started. When Emil came out from Town & Country pools I immediately knew I wanted to work with him/them. My pool was completed in 3 months! Emil answered all my questions, was super responsive and reliable and had walked me through every step. He made sure that all the approvals were taken care of and any questions that I had he helped me with. He is very knowledgeable and patient (with my many requests and changes). I had very few issues but even the small ones I did have were easily taken care of! Their prices were very competitive and again, I would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to build a pool!! It was so easy and I am just so happy with the results! If you’re contemplating it, do it! Just make sure you use Town &Country pools (and ask for Emil)!”

“My wife and I absolutely love Town & Country Pools. We built our first pool with Dennis in 2006 shortly after we moved to Texas. He was by far the best person we talked to and received proposals from, and he did not steer us wrong. Three houses and 18 years later we called Town and Country again to build another pool for us, and we could not be happier. Dennis and Clay answered all our questions and took care of issues quickly and professionally. We would recommend them to anyone.”

Mark Adams

“We absolutely love our pool that Town and Country designed and built. We have had years of wonderful times with our family and friends. Their office staff goes above and beyond to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Ask for Lacey in the office she is the best!!! Dennis and his crew worked hard to protect our home from the build out and had the place cleaned up in no time. Highly recommend!!”

“Working with Emil and Clay from Town and Country Pools during our small remodel was a wonderful experience. We always felt valued and appreciated by them. They were diligent, well-informed, and readily available throughout the entire process. We wholeheartedly recommend their services!”

“I honestly have nothing but great things to say about Town and Country pools, they were phenomenal. I went into the pool build process nervous due to the horror stories you read about with other pool builders. You will find no one better than T&C. I was immediately sold on Town and Country from day 1 and it is purely because of Emil Hermis, our builder. I filled out a request for information and within an hour Emil came to our home and began designing. Emil immediately struck me as a man of integrity, dedication, and very knowledgeable. My first impression was not wrong, Emil is a master of his craft and every single detail mentioned was delivered upon with perfection. I cannot begin to describe how grateful and thankful to Emil we are. The contractors used by T&C are top notch. There wasn’t a single crew that worked on our pool that wasn’t simply amazing. All were incredibly friendly, respectful, diligent, and hard working. The quality and skill every single crew brought to the build cannot be understated.. and they did it in 100 degree Southeast Texas heat. I cannot stress enough to a potential pool buyer, take care of your crews working on your pool. It is boiling hot outside ”

“I'd like to start by saying the decision to build a pool has not come lightly. My boyfriend and I began the idea in May of 2021. It began with the idea of digging a Koi pond and morphed into a "people pond" instead. So as we are both avid researchers when we get an idea, we set forth into research mode and started clipping pictures of things we liked, talked to friends that have pools to get their feed back as to things they liked and things they didn't as well as things they wished they would've done. We compiled all the data and started looking at equipment and features. We decided to get a heater to extend the pool season but forgo the chiller (I really wish we didn't forgo the chiller as we have no shade). We decided not to get any waterfalls or slides and went with a beach entry and a deep end of 5.5ft depth. So our big issue was the grade in our yard as there was a 4 ft decline at 40 ft out. January came and it was time to start interviewing pool companies. Several of our friends had recently put in pools and we asked about the companies they used. They were not 100% satisfied but they did like the outcome. We had one other friend that put in a pool 20 years ago and raved abo”

“I got 5 or 6 bids trying to find someone to remodel my pool before I finally found someone who understood what I wanted. Thank goodness for Dennis and Jordan. I trusted Dennis and his experience and I'm so glad I did. I had loose flagstone and cracked grout around the majority of my pool. Most estimates I got recommended tearing it all out and redoing the pea gravel concrete. Dennis had his guys repair the grout and replace the waterline with tile so it wouldn't stain like it did with flagstone. The plaster he and Jordan suggested was amazing. He also replaced most of my old equipment and fixed the rest. I've got a new pool that I can't quit staring at. I saved a lot of money and couldn't be happier with the results. Don't waste your time like I did. Just call Dennis and sit back and enjoy.”

You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do.”

“A big “THANK YOU” to Dennis, Clay, Jordan and Emil for delivering the pool of our dreams. We use our pool every single day and simply love it! You will not find a more competent and honest pool builder. The communication is great, they are punctual and pay attention to the details. Our project included stained boulder rockwork, slide, grotto, infinity edge, spa, sundeck, stamped patio, fire pit, and retaining walls. They can do it all! Thanks again guys!”

“Can't say enough about Dennis and his crew. I planned on writing this review a month ago, but got busy and now am happy I waited. We interviewed 6 other pool companies and easily ruled them out and are glad we did. Dennis was very open to ideas we had and upfront with costs involved. He also advised on certain design ideas to stay away from after seeing what can go wrong after being in the business over 40 yrs. Dennis sat down with my wife and I at his office and tweaked anything we asked him to. We signed our contract for the pool back in July 2020 at the height of the Corona scare. As fate would have it we were not the only ones who wanted pools in the greater Houston area and Gunite was hard to come by. Dennis was adamant that he would not dig a hole in the ground until he could guarantee Gunite delivery. (unlike other contractors who were digging holes which stayed empty for weeks to months in order to get paid the first draw) Dig day finally came in October and after about 6-8 weeks the pool was open for business. We can't say enough it was well worth the wait. Dennis and his staff were always available during the process and since construction Dennis has been v”

“Dennis, Clay, and Jordan were so great to work with on our new home construction. Through the pool design process, retaining wall design, and the final build they worked hard to get us exactly what we had envisioned. Their long-standing contractor relationships proved very beneficial in keeping the project moving along and completed in a timely manner. We would definitely recommend them for your pool project.”

Cari Murphy

“Unfortunately, I did not have nearly as positive experience as other reviews I sifted through when selecting T&C pools. My work was small, but not insignificant (~$5K) for new mastic around pool, replacement lights for pool/spa and acid wash for stain removal. The mastic job itself was generally done well, but I was left unimpressed as the contractors left several bits of old mastic strewn in my back beds or surrounding areas. In addition, they sprinkled sand on the finished product which I assumed was part of the process, but afterwards they left it there rather than taking the time to sweep it up. ALL of this sand ended up in the pool and ultimately in my filters. The light replacements got to the finish line and they work properly, but not without installing the wrong ones first - due to them not taking time to understand age of my pool and equipment they installed lights that were not compatible with my Jandy system. The acid wash was not a good experience and definitely not worth the $1200. Our pool age is approx. 12yrs and has accumulated some stains in different areas. This service was only sold on upside...not the potential for majority of the stains to show no diff”
