“Billy and his team were amazing. Very knowledgeable experienced. Walked us through the process and was always in touch if we needed him. His crew was polite and always cleaned up after themselves. Our pool was a complete renovation- coping, tile and plaster with shallowing of the deep end and constructing a tanning ledge with steps. Totally transformed our backyard.”

“We have a pool that was originally plasters with BeadCrete. It lasted over 16 years but finally was showing its age and there was bleeding due to an iron rebar near the steps that needed attention. My wife is in the wholesale swimming pool supply industry and received a recommendation for a plasterer. I ended up getting estimates from other businesses as well. One thing I have to say, Billy was quick to answer my call and I received an estimate that evening. Compared to the other companies, they either never responded to me or forgot to provide an estimate after looking at the pool. That firm finally provided a general estimate which was higher than Kingfish’s estimate. The recommended plasterer from my wife’s company did not even provided me a quote and another pool company turned me down due to a commercial job that they picked up. Save yourself a lot of time, stress, & money & read reviews on multiple sites (not just on Google bc you can pay to have the bad reviews removed) to see people’s experience with Billy/Kingfish pools. Go to multiple pool stores & ask people about Kingfish, they have a reputation in the industry & I often heard after having so many issues with Billy that other people in the industry can’t believe he was still in business bc of all the nightmare stories they would hear from customers. I WISH I had read his reviews before I committed to Kingfish but I am here now to warn people so that don’t make the same mistake. During the build, there were multiple issues where I had to pay more for this or that & ultimately my pool ended up costing me $15,000 more than the original quote. I also surprisingly had $5,000 worth of electrical issues right after the pool was complete, hmmm. Billy’s plumbers installed the pool drainage into my sewer line, not just to drain there but pushed the pool drainage pipe through my sewer line, completely blocking it right down the middle. I had multiple sewerage back ups over the next 6 months bc of this. I paid multiple plumbers to com”

“Be aware , over priced , if you are older they will take advantage of you . $450 for a motor replacement? 200 for cartridge cleaning ? 200 to diagnose the equipment that only take 5 min ? 500 a month to clean your pool ? This company is one big scam . If you get a pool built by them they will give you the run around when it come Time for warranty work . I know several ppl who is still waiting on warranty from new built pools and plaster work . Also plaster is sub contracted , you will be charge a hefty price getting plaster work from them , same as leak detection .”

“When I first hired the company in 2021, they were solid. Over the years, their service became terribl including: 1) charging me $190 for a job that took less than 5 minutes bc I did not know how to do it myself at the time; 2) sending a technician for over a month who broke part of my pool (which the company never paid to fix) and charged me near $1,000 in unneeded chemicals (again which was never repaid) due to his incompetence; 3) just quit showing up in June this year until my pool became the green unswimmable mess pictured here. I had to pay $750 to hire a responsible, worthwhile company to fix. Then the company had the gall to send me a bill for the visits they skipped in June. I cannot recommend you take your business somewhere else more highly.”

“they screw you by overcharging, make up repairs that don't need to be made, extort you for money, and make appointments on your behalf without even contacting you to 1.) confirm appt, and 2.) call to even schedule an appt. They just show up and then bill you. I will never use this company again. Unprofessional level 10. UPDATE: to respond to owner, I did reach out. Nothing was accomplished. I got a refund of $95-ish for some other charge I didn't know about. I paid $200 for a pool cleaning and only got the water skimmed. Didn't even vacuum the bottom. Poor service all together. I also mentioned the pool was leaking, I was given an overpriced report to which none of the items listed were damaged.”
