“As first time pool buyers, I was so pleased with this experience. Barry Hodges was incredibly knowledgeable and transparent with us. He was so patient as we played around with the design and tried out different things until we came up with the perfect pool for our backyard. “I want to share my experience with Backyard Paradise. Initially, we were excited about the project, but our enthusiasm quickly turned to frustration due to a series of issues that have arisen since the installation. In less than a year, our deck sunk, prompting us to resurface it, which was an unexpected expense. While we accepted this setback, things did not improve. A year later, we encountered problems with our spa, where the water flow was uneven. After having it fixed to level the tile, we faced yet another cost. The most significant issue, however, has been with our patio post. Before the installation, our post was set on concrete, but during the deck installation, the crew removed the concrete and buried the post in sand. This has led to the post rotting, putting our large patio at risk of collapse. Despite reaching out to the project manager multiple times and providing pictures to highlight our concerns, our issues have gone unheard. Last year, we requested a call from someone to discuss how to resolve the problem, not expecting a free fix but rather seeking expert assistance. I receive weekly pool service, but this past week, a gentleman named Maxwell came and did an exceptional job. He is, by far, the best. If possible, I would like to request him as my regular pool attendant, as the previous one was not as outstanding as Maxwell. “We absolutely LOVE the design that Scott Barber created for our backyard! It was exactly what we wanted!!! From start to finish we had a completed pool in about 2 months! We had a couple different PM’s because of some company transitions during the process of the build but it all worked out in the end. Their PM’s Steven and Jimmy were very knowledgeable and nice guys. Louis the “pool school” guy (don’t know his title) went above and beyond helping us new pool owners understand how to take care of our pool. I would recommend this company but go in with an open mind and give grace, be ready for lots of dirt in your house (if you have pets or kids), get ready for noise, commotion, lots of moving parts. “We had an absolutely amazing experience with this company! I had no idea what to expect while building a pool, I assumed it would be super stressful and that was not the case at all. Our designer was Marc McDonald, he called me as soon as I inquired about services, came out and was so personable and saw our vision. About 10 days later he sent us an interactive video of what our pool was going to look like in our backyard and we were sold! Our project manager Oz Curiel was also amazing to work with. He was one step ahead of the game the whole time and made sure everything played out as planned as most importantly as visioned. “The team at Backyard Paradise Luxury Pools were a pleasure to work with! Our biggest compliment is that they were fair and professional during every step of the process: design, demolition, construction, and pool startup. We highly recommend this company based on our experience with their team and the quality of the completed job! We needed to replace the plaster in our pool (reference the pictures with the green look) so we used this as an opportunity to change the entire look of our pool by going with a blue pebbletec “pebblesheen” plaster and blue, silver, and gold pebbletec glass tile. In addition, they installed a veneer on our outdoor kitchen matching the stone we chose for our pool wall columns. Jan was our designer. She did a fabulous job of giving us the vision of what our remodel potential could be by providing 3D computer model views and showing us tile and plaster options in their showroom. Jan was patient with us and very helpful as we contemplated making additional modifications such as the addition of a new sitting bench and removal of the in-floor cleaning system. He tackled a particularly tricky issue with my in-floor cleaning system – a subtle inconsistency in one of the fifty zones that had been there from the start. It took time, patience, and a lot of problem-solving, but PJ didn't give up. He researched all the related modules, isolated the issue, and finally fixed it. Throughout the process, PJ explained exactly how the system works, even sharing some handy maintenance tips along the way.
