“Tropic Island charged me over $400 to replace the impeller for my 4 year old pool pump and the repair lasted less than 6 days. I asked them to come back and fix the pump but was told their tech was on vacation and never sent anyone else and would not respond to my emails or text messages. They do not stand behind their work. I would not recommend this company.”

“If I could leave Zero stars, I would. They built a beautiful pool that they then proceeded to put zero chemicals in leading to a toad infestation until I went out and bought chlorine to put in it myself. They brought out a MUCH cheaper cleaner than the one I paid for in my contract and still (over 2 weeks later) have not brought out the correct one. They were supposed to install the salt cell twice last week and never showed up (or called to let me know that I didn't matter since they have already received payment in full). Instead, the gentleman who actually sold me the pool had to drive out 4 times in 3 days to help me get the chemicals balanced (new pool owner here, still learning) so that I wouldn't have to cancel the party that had been scheduled for almost 45 days since we had filled the pool. Heed my advice and withhold the final payment until they actually finish the pool.... UPDATE: Not only did they deliver the wrong pool cleaner (still have not received the correct one that we already paid for) they also installed a salt cell that is much smaller (too small for our pool) and cheaper than the one that was contracted. At this point, we will be looking into reporting to B”
