What Customers Say

“Great customer service! I regularly come here for liquid chlorine, and Adam is always knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He takes the time to answer questions and makes sure I get exactly what I need to keep my pool in great shape. Highly recommend this Pinch A Penny location!”

George Ku

“This was my first time visiting this store and unfortunately I received terrible customer service. I wasn’t greeted when I walked in instead, I was just stared at. I had to initiate the conversation and ask for help myself. When I had questions about a product I felt like a bother. Then while I was in the middle of asking another question another customer walked in and the employee immediately left me to help them instead. I would never spend my money here or return. Kindness and basic customer service go a long way.”

Lindsey Turner

“They have been cleaning our pool. The algae building up and they didn't even address it. We had to call them and have them try fixing it. It's still not fixed and it's been a month. They are the worst. They won't give you a straight answer or a call back. I'm switching companies.”

Sonia Mathew

“They used to do good job. But the last year or so, they can not keep their promises. Thye schedule my pool for service but no body shows up after calling multiple times. Really disappointed”

Ahmadyb Yakoub

“The staff is very helpful every time I visit. Their selection of pool supplies is great. I highly recommend them.”

Ramon P

“Worst pool company ever! Beware! They use old metal wire brushes that need replaced. We found 30 metal wires in our pool which caused injuries to guests and kids. Contacted the store 10 times without a call back or resolution. The store owner, Javier, called me 10 times when we signed up for my credit card information, but would not call me back when the I desperately called for help or a resolution. Other neighbors complained about their communication as well. Be careful!”

Andrew Chlumecky

“Their weekly service is great! They are always helpful and quick with any problems you have or items you need.”

Adam

“Local pool supplies shop. They have everything I need, and when I have issues l they can come to help. My heater was a bit smellier than usual so the tech said, “that’s normal… No charge”. Thanks Pinch-a-penny!!”

Erik Quam

“Great staff, free sampling to determine pool conditions, prices are reasonable compared to other stores in the area.”

Eric Sabolsice

“Clogged the pipes with chlorine powder and had said the algae wpuld go away. I had to manually take out all the chlorine powder because the pressure on the filter was extremely low. Algae has been here for more than a month and they haven’t done anything about it. We keep asking them to check the filter and the pressure, always say it’s good and clearly it’s not… Do NOT recommend!!”

“What’s the Problem Here? Don’t waste your time calling Penny Pincher Sugar Land location for pool cleaning service, they say “we’ll call you back, we’re busy with customers, but they NEVER call you back and attempt to hurry you off the phone call. If you’re call to arrange and schedule weekly service, that makes you a customer. When you physically go into the store location the staff always appear angry, and there are never additional customers inside, maybe that’s why their customers base has dwindled! POOR POUR SERVICE………..”
