8 Square Roofing & Construction

8 Square Roofing & Construction operates as a roofing contractor in Austin. They handle residential and commercial roofing jobs along with gutter service and waterproofing. The business has worked in the area since 2001 and takes on full roof replacements, repairs, new installations, and storm damage projects. Crews use drone inspections combined with on-site checks to assess roofs before starting work.

Customers report roof replacements after hail strikes, leak fixes on existing roofs, standing seam metal installations, and gutter replacements. Eric Wood explained insurance details and arranged solar panel detachments to protect warranties. Matt Bice delivered competitive bids that included higher-grade shingles. Jeff managed gutter teams and leak repairs. Adam Smith performed detailed inspections and ordered materials quickly. Justin Jay oversaw metal roof projects. Crews completed most replacements in one or two days and removed all debris afterward.

They answer calls fast and often send someone the same day or next morning for leaks. Quotes stay line-item and clear on what insurance covers. Communication stays consistent from first visit through final cleanup. Pricing comes in lower than other bids in several cases while using quality materials. The company keeps regular hours from seven in the morning until seven at night across all days of the week.

Google shows a five-star rating from ninety-seven reviews. Common points include crews that protect property during work, thorough site cleanup, and results that hold up after heavy rain. Reviewers note honest handling of insurance claims and supplements that allowed extra work like painting or gutter swaps.

“Highly recommend this roofing company. Eric was easy to work with and very thorough in explaining everything. He talked me through the whole process and gave me a detailed quote right down to the nails. The process from start to finish was done in a couple of weeks. In all fairness they were delayed a week due to rain or it would have been faster. The gentlemen who did the roof were very nice and cleaned up so well afterwards that it looked like they were never there. Great job!!!”

“8 Square Roofing did an excellent job on our roof. The entire process was smooth and professional from start to finish. A special shoutout to Eric Wood, who was incredibly helpful, responsive, and made sure everything stayed on track. He took the time to explain things clearly and made us feel confident in every step. Highly recommend 8 Square Roofing for their quality work and great customer service!”

“8 Square did a great job on our roof. The inspection, quote, and scheduling prices with Eric and Brian was quick and straightforward. They were honest about the work and price, as well as what insurance would and wouldn't cover based on our area. The roof ant quickly and the team doing the roof was polite and respectful of our property. Shortly after install it's rained for days without any problem. Great service and result!”

“Sebastian and the team at 8Square were incredibly fast, super communicative, offered a truly competitive price, and delivered top‑tier professionalism from start to finish. I highly recommend them — they absolutely exceeded expectations.”

“We had an excellent experience with Jeff & his team at 8 Square Roofing! They did an amazing job repairing our roof leak, and the entire process was seamless from start to finish. They were the only roofing company that responded promptly and actually showed up when they said they would. Their communication was outstanding—easily a 10/10. They kept us informed every step of the way, were professional, honest, and efficient. It's refreshing to work with a company that truly delivers on its promises. We highly recommend 8 Square Roofing and will definitely use them again if we ever need roofing services! Hopefully not anytime soon!”

“The team at 8 Square was absolutely great to work with. I noticed a leak on Friday, and they had somebody out to check on it Saturday morning. It turned out to be UV damage to a plastic turtle vent, and we were able to get it and all of the other vents up there replaced very quickly. Eric did a great job of not only making sure I knew what was going on, but also looking out for my best interests, and saving me about $1500 in the process if I had just replaced the vents one at a time. I'll be working with the team again and making sure they're in my neighborhood's list of preferred service providers.”

“I highly suggest Eric Wood with 8 Square Roofing. He knew the solar company we had, and took the time to schedule their detach and reset to make sure our warranty wasn’t voided. He worked with the insurance company, met the adjuster on site, was able to get us supplements. We were able to replace gutters and paint garage with Eric and his team. The roof install only took half a day. This team was great! I highly recommend them for your paint, gutter, and roofing services.”
