About

Catalano Enterprises runs as a roofing contractor from Cibolo, Texas, with Randy at the head of operations. The business takes on roof repairs along with water damage restoration after leaks or floods. Crews handle bathroom remodels, kitchen cabinet rebuilds, drywall repairs, flooring installs, painting, trim work, and full shower replacements. Reviewers note jobs tied to insurance claims where teams address ceiling collapses from clogged lines or bathtub overflows. Randy pairs workers like Claudio and his son to specific tasks based on the damage found.

Homeowners describe Randy and his crew completing bathroom updates with careful attention to details and no added charges for extra fixes. Others mention fast temporary roof patches with tarps after heavy rains, followed by plans for permanent fixes. Positive accounts cover new wood floors, recessed lighting, ceiling fans, and retextured walls after slab leaks or pipe issues. Crews named Chris, Terry, and Barry get credit for sheetrock, paint, and flooring that met inspection standards on insurance-backed projects.

Randy responds to initial calls and shows up for assessments, though reviewers report promised timelines of three to four weeks stretching into five months or longer because workers fail to appear. Communication drops off after the start, with office manager Shanna fielding repeated messages that go unanswered for days. Service covers spots around San Antonio and nearby areas, with some jobs left half done until homeowners buy their own materials or push for completion. Pricing starts with insurance payouts, but multiple accounts note funds used elsewhere leading to stalled material orders.

The reviews split between praise for solid craftsmanship on finished sections and repeated complaints about delays, no-shows, and poor follow-through on commitments. Several mention issues with subcontractors not getting paid and work needing fixes months later. Google shows a 3.5 rating with no reviews posted there.

What Customers Say

“Catalano Enterprises was A pleasure to work with, as we remodeled our 2 bathrooms. Randy made sure every detail was on point and to our satisfaction. He even went so far to fix an issue for us, at no extra cost. Our insurance company agent, was happy with the company we chose. Our agent confirmed that many household owners have used this company with no concerns. Very reliable and trustworthy. The contractors were very hard working and kind. Thank you for taking care of us. We are highly satisfied.”

“BRAVO!! I highly recommend Catalano Enterprises!! The AC lines in my attic were clogged resulting in flooding of the attic, which eventually caused the ceiling to fall through in my guest bedroom. Catalano came highly recommended from a number of vendors. The owner Randy made time to review what was needed to repair severe damages as I had family coming in for Thanksgiving. His workers, Claudio and son were extremely conscientious and provided masterful work in the agreed-upon timeframe. Randy actually matched his workers up to the needs I had with great sensitivity. His expertise, guidance and business acumen were truly excellent. Two months later, I had another flooding incident and once again Randy and his team came to the rescue. He provided rates that I could work with with keen sensitivity to my budget as I had had so many repairs done within a short period of time which Insurance was not paying in full due to an extremely high deductible. He helped me choose the line items within a strict budget and the work came out beautiful with a high degree of expertise. Use this company and you will be extremely happy!!……..”

“Please do NOT trust nor hire this company. It is unfortunate that I have to leave a review such as this but the owner Randy took advantage of my elderly mother and her insurance company. He quoted her for the job of restoring her home after experiencing water damage and told her it would take 3-4 weeks to complete. It ended up taking this company 9 months to complete because the workers barely showed up and Randy used the upfront funds provided on other jobs rather than to buy the materials for my mother’s house. After months of lying about supply delays and shipping issues, he finally came clean about not having the money to buy what was needed and had the audacity to ask for more money from her. It broke my heart every time I had a conversation with her because she was displaced from her home and continuously being lied to. She eventually removed projects from Randy’s scope of work to outsource those to more reliable vendors in hopes to speed up her ability to move back home. The grand finale though is that even though Randy’s portion is complete and she has paid Randy for the job… there are now subcontractors he NEVER paid hounding her for payments even though he received the f”

“They spent 5 months to lay floor through 1300 square feet , tile in 2 small bathrooms ,and paint and trim. Randy would say someone would be coming the next day for two weeks at a stretch, and then there would be some new story. The first guy that he sent to do the paint and trim. Spent several days walking in and out of the house and not actually doing anything other than try to pick up girls over the phone. He was obvious high on some kind of upper. I told Randy I didn't feel comfortable with him in the house . It then took him almost a month to get anyone else back over. The flooring went in with multiple issues. Several places started coming up. This was all fixed with super glue! Plus the underlayment was a thin as a garbage can liner even though he assured us we'd received the industry standard. I just recently felt what our floors should feel like and I'm dismayed again that I let this guy con me and my family out of our time and the insurance money. I'll vet much more thoroughly next time I hire a contractor. One guy from the flooring crew made a huge mess with the caulking. That took several sessions to clean up then they sent this same guy out to do the tile in the”

“Worst mistake to even consider them for work needing done in regards to a claim. The owner Randy did an assessment after showing up late, was cordial during the assessment and vaguely set expectations and made promises of sending for different types of materials. Then his office manager Shanna sent over a contract without any of the estimates promised at the time of the assessment. Multiple calls to Randy and the office were not returned and when I finally got a hold of the office manager Shanna she said Randy would call that day. After yet more time passed without any calls from Randy called back again repeatedly and when I was finally able to get a hold of the officer manager Shanna I advised that I would not be doing any upgrades through them just finish out the claim since they already had the insurance check. She promised to put me on the schedule right there if I would send the signed contract and pay the deductible up front which I did while on the phone. When I asked for the date to start work she quickly said she would call back and then disconnected the call. No contact since then, this contractor is unresponsive, lies, and completely shady. My advice to anyone th”

“My elderly Mother lived by herself in San Antonio and in 2019, had flooding in her bathroom from the bathtub. Based on USAA’s recommendation, we hired Randy from Catalano Enterprises to be the GC to get the bathtub fixed. I wished I would’ve been more involved, but I remember my Mom constantly telling me that communication with Randy was challenging and things took much longer than expected to get fixed. Finally, the work completed (or so we thought) in late 2019 which included new fixtures on the bathtub. Fast forward four years to November of 2023 and my Mom is now selling her house. During inspection it was noted that the water stream coming from the hot side of the bathtub was coming out at a trickle. Mom never noticed because she is elderly and does not take baths. We had a plumber come out to assess the situation, and to our surprise, was told by this plumber that the wrong type of fixtures were installed in the bathtub (they were fixtures intended for a sink, not a bathtub), and that was why the water came out at a trickle. I personally left five messages for anyone at Catalano to call me back to get help with the situation, but no one returned my calls. I also sent”

“I recently discovered water damage in my newly purchased, previously owned home. After water mitigation was completed and my home was dried out, Catalano Enterprises took over the job of repairing my home. Randy and his crew rebuilt my kitchen cabinets, replaced the kitchen flooring, repaired and retextured drywall, painted my home, completely tore out my shower and replaced it with the most gorgeous shower that I have ever seen. Throughout the project Randy took the time to patiently answer my questions and keep me informed about everything that was being done. When Randy began the repair work he said that his number one goal was for me to be happy with the results. I am extremely pleased with the work done on my home and the time taken to complete it. Thank you Catalano Enterprises for making me happy!”

“I highly advise anyone planning on doing business with this company to reconsider. There is absolutely no communication, follow through, and their work does not hold up. I moved into a new home about 6 months ago. The roof had been redone in the last year by Catalano Roofing. Over a month ago, after a pretty heavy rain, I realized the roof was leaking both from the ceiling and down the walls. I contacted Randy, who I believe is the owner, via his cell phone number provided to me by the previous owner of my home. The next day some guys came out and put a temporary fix on the roof (a blue tarp and some rocks to hold it in place) and then said I should hear back from someone to come out to complete the fix. No one called. After a week I began to call. The receptionist took several messages but I was not contacted back for another 2 weeks. Randy then came out, looked at the damage and said he would contact me and set up a time to complete the repairs. That was over 3 weeks ago. I have called numerous times and left messages to no avail.”

“Randy and crew did a wonderful job meeting our needs and additional requests. Catalanos removed and installed new wood floors, repaired and refinished drywall, painted walls, replaced all trim, installed recessed lighting, installed ceiling fan, leveled uneven floors, and ensured all plumbing was intact after floors were complete. Very professional and competent company. Definitely user friendly and easy to contact if issues arise. For sure, will use Catalanos for future major projects.”

“They may do great work, but they do not pay their subcontractors. They hired EL Smith Plumbing to do work on 5 jobs in Jan (1), Feb (3) and March (1), 2024 and have not paid their bills. They have been contacted several times in several different ways and still have not paid their debt. As of 7/10/24. They still have not paid their debt to us. 7-23-24 - 6 days since Catalano replied that they would look into getting this resolved and we have still heard nothing from them. smh”

“DO NOT HIRE this company!! The owner Randy is a crook and takes advantage of single elderly women. October 2023 my 70 year old mother woke up to sloshy wet carpet. Her water heater burst a hose in the middle of the night and flooded the house. She hired Randy to restore the damage to her house based on what she thought was a recommendation by her insurance company. They agreed on the scope of work and even some additional work items that my mother had been wanting to get done. Randy told her the work would take 3-4 weeks to complete. She was completely displaced from her home as the work was being done. After 7 months of HELL in June 2024, my siblings and I finally moved her back into her home. The agreed upon scope of work was never completed, he lied to her constantly, kept asking for more money, and turns out was negligent in paying his subs—who are now hounding my mother for payment. Randy has been the contractor from Hell and there is a special place for people like him. DO NOT HIRE RANDY SIGALAS. You will regret it.”

“Do NOT use this guy!!!!!!!!!! Randy Sigalas is a crook and a fraud. All the negative REVIEWS THIS JOKER has ARE ALL LEGIT COMPLAINTS and ARE THE TRUTH. The man does not follow through with anything he says. He has taken 5 months (work is STILL NOT DONE) on a job that he told would only take 3-4 weeks to complete. I truly believe he lacks time management. He is not outfitted to take on bigger jobs. We waited months for kitchen cabinets that he kept telling us were in a warehouse. He said the same thing with the carpet and flooring it turned out he never ordered the carpet or flooring. We eventually purchased the carpet and flooring ourselves. Had LOWES installed the carpet, his guy laid the floor in the kitchen but had to come back a few times to correct. The CRAFTSMANSHIP is mediocre at best WHEN THEY DO SHOW UP. He TELLS you that he has HIS GUYS coming on such and such day and they do not show up at all! He will constantly ask for more money for the job to get it completed. Gave him roughly half the money up front. Luckily, we are smart enough not to give this YAHOO anymore money!! He will give invoices with work that was never done or extra material used that was never used (ho”

“DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. Ever negative post is true, because it happened to me. On October 6, 2023 I woke to a water leak that affected a good portion of my house. The recovery company recommended Randy Sigalas. Randy said he could do the job in 3 to 4 weeks. The beginning of the lies. Thanksgiving went by, Christmas, Easter, all celebrated differently because I wasn't in my house! And he could have cared less. I didn't move back into my house until June 7, 2024. Weeks went by with no one working. Excuse after excuse. Lie after lie. April 12, 2024 Randy told me he was on his way to pick up my carpet from the Lowes warehouse in Kyle, TX. He even sent me a picture of the sign. Well, after a quick phone call, that warehouse only holds appliances, Not Carpet! He never purchased the carpet. I didn't get carpet until May 31st. And only after I purchased it and arranged for installation. Same with my vinyl flooring. I ordered and picked up. Another time I was told several times he was on his way to get my cabinets and vanities. He had excuse after excuse why. The why was because he never ordered them. He didn't have the money for them. Even though USAA paid him for them! This kind of stuff w”

“I have used Catalano Enterprises several times over the last dozen years for: water repair damage on the ceiling from a leaking pipe, scraping of the popcorn ceiling and repainting, and the removal of fluorescent lights and adding recessed lighting in the kitchen. Catalano was initially referred to me by USAA for a water leak that I had in the kitchen ceiling. I was so impressed with Randy's work, that I kept going back to him for future repair jobs. The most recent job was replacing the rotted trim around the garage door and the painting of the garage door and trim. Seeing how my driveway sloped downwards towards the garage door, Randy thought it would be best to replace the wood trim with a vinyl trim. The seal around the garage door is so much better now that it's warm in the garage on these cold December nights. I recommend Catalano Enterprises for any home repair jobs that you might need.”

“NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!! DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN!! He is a complete liar and a joke!! Every bad review that you have read on this site are the absolute truth!! I can only think that he paid or made fake accounts to write those couple of good reviews!! We had water damage at our house, we needed new flooring through out, tiling, painting, and all that comes with getting these things done. 5 months!! 5 months it took this man to complete our home. When we first meet with him, he told us two weeks!! It was lie, after lie. Lies we caught him in. Days my husband would be sitting waiting for his subcontractors to come and no one would show. He would tell my husband everyday someone was coming, no one would show up. After a week of no one showing up, finally they come, for a couple days, then no one for 3-4 days. And he still would tell us someone was coming but my husband had the subcontractors number and they would tell my husband, I didn't talk to him, I never told him I would come out today!! He forgets what needs to be done too. All the time we had to remind him. He doesn't answer phone calls, text messages, and emails. Countless times we tried to get a hold of him nothing!! Countless ”

“Catalano offers decent work if you are willing to manage the project yourself. Their sub contractors seem to be adequate. But their planning, communications and follow-up are a mess. They make promises that they never keep and never pro-actively follow-up on project work. Calling them makes little difference since they never respond. My project is now 2 years old and is not complete. I have gone as long as 10 months with no call from them. I have no idea why USAA uses a company with standards this low. Catalano's response below is not true. We did not agree to put off repairs. I suggested that I could be "flexible" during the repairs because of Covid. Catalano responded "No, it's at the top of my list. I want to get this done." They subsequently scheduled 2 different times for repairs to begin and then did not show up to either appointment. I did not hear from them again for 10 months. I called, they stalled. Then didn't call back at all. They are responding now because I elevated the issue to the highest levels of USAA. Catalano is now being forced to fix the issue that they created 2 years ago!”

“Excellent work!!!!! Chris, Terry & Barry did an awesome job on our remodeling project. We were referred to Catalano through our insurance company because we had water damage to our house, so right away we knew that Catolano could be trusted since USAA had already vetted them. Our project consisted of sheet rock, paint, and flooring. Everything turned out perfectly and they paid close attention to detail.”

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Randy and Catalano professionally and they handled work for me personally. Randy has always be excellent to work with and has always provided great customer service. We’ve always been very satisfied with their work product.”

Weston Whiteaker

“Great job repairing damage from having to reroute water line after slab leak. Paint job was excellent and they even cleaned the entire second floor carpet. Thry are contracted through USAA so they can be trusted. Left them the keys to the house so I did not have to leave work.”

Mark Muna

“This company was selected by USAA insurance company to repair water damage. It was over a year and a half and I am still waiting on a job that I was told would take 2 months. The work they did on my house was done on the cheap and needs to be redone. USAA had to cash me out to find someone to fix their mess. Terrible customer service and overall experience. Updated..... You must not had read the posting. NEVER AGAIN.”
