Hale's Roofing

Hale's Roofing works out of Flagstaff putting roofs on homes that face the rough alpine weather. Snow piles up heavy in winter and the freeze thaw cycles crack materials over time. High elevation brings intense UV that wears down surfaces fast while summer monsoons dump rain in bursts that test every seam. They focus on roofing that holds up under these loads instead of quick fixes that leave owners dealing with leaks later. Homeowners here know a weak roof means water inside and high repair costs down the line so the company sticks to installs built for the elevation and wind loads common around town.

They handle roof replacement when old coverings give out from the weather and roof repair to stop leaks before they spread. Inspections catch problems early with stucco repairs on walls, new gutters to direct water away, skylights installed right, walking decks built solid, and drywall fixes after water damage. Insurance claims get worked through for storm hits. Roof types include tile for durability, metal that sheds snow, asphalt shingle for standard homes, roof coatings to extend life, TPO for flat areas, and foam for insulation in cold months. Crews deal with the elevation and wind that make every job trickier than in lower areas where crews can rush without checking every layer twice.

Folks who hired them mention solid work that lasts without callbacks, jobs done on time without dragging out, prices that match the quality without surprises, and updates that keep everyone in the loop. These points add up across many jobs in Flagstaff where weather hits hard and shortcuts show up fast after the first real snow or rain. The result shows in how they rate overall for getting roofs right the first time in tough conditions. DIRT Score 4.91 from 173 reviews on Finds.

“Excellent experience from the very first phone call to schedule an estimate to a beautiful finished roof and with every employee we interacted with along the way! Outstanding communication, great value and honest, hard working crew. Our situation required some extra planning and care and the team at Hale’s went above and beyond to address our needs, demonstrating great respect, understanding and compassion. Ben, Chase, Tyler & his awesome installation crew, Christine & Paige in the office - everyone was so helpful, knowledgeable & kind. We can’t say enough good things about this crew. Highly recommend!”

“In my opinion, Hale’s Roofing is the best company in all Arizona! It provides high quality work, with honest hardworking employees who work long hours in ice and snow or heat, and the management has extremely high integrity. They do what they say and say what they do. I trust them completely when they recommend anything for me because they do not upsell or try to push expensive unneeded fixes. I have hired dozens of contractors of every trade over the past 40 years and have never seen a company like Hale’s. The company has been maintaining my roof for about 8 years. Three years ago Hale’s replaced our damaged old roof (6000 sf) along with plywood overhang repair and roof vents replaced. A big job. Creighton Kim was our project manager. As I watched the crews working, they looked like music”

“We cannot say enough wonderful things about Hale’s Roofing Company! From start to finish, every aspect of our TPO roof installation was absolutely perfect. Ben, who came out to bid the job, was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and transparent. He took the time to explain everything in detail, answered all of our questions, and made us feel completely confident in moving forward. His professionalism and experience were evident right away. The installation team — Javier, Fernando, and Adolfo — were outstanding. They were friendly, professional, and highly experienced. Their attention to detail was impressive, and they worked efficiently while maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship. It’s clear they take great pride in their work, and it truly shows in the final result. The entire p”

“Tyler Wakefield and his crew with Hale’s Roofing did a fantastic installation of our roof. They were efficient, friendly and completed the job in a timely manner. At the end of everyday they cleaned up around the house and used a rolling magnet to make sure there were no nails that could be driven on or stepped on. Highly recommend them!”

“Thank you for the recent repairs to the roof at our regional trainingfacilty, your crews are amazing. Tyler and his crew were awesome and I always appreciate Creighton's competent and customer service oriented approach to bidding, oversight and scheduling repairs for our organization! The team at Hales roofing including the office staff is amazing. Scott”

“Creighton and Tyler at Hale's Roofing are exceptional in their ability to coordinate with our schedule. My wife was having a long-dreaded knee replacement surgery. They were somehow able to completely replace our roof and skylights at the perfect time before her surgery. The entire crew and installation was top-notch. Update 9-5-2025: Due to events surrounding Mary’s knee replacement surgery we didn’t give this review the attention it deserves. For 30+ years we’ve owned a string of rental homes, so we’ve had lots of experience with roofing contractors. We can tell you now that Hale’s Roofing is in a class by itself. From the “get-go” Hale’s Roofing is superior. They give you a straight-forward estimate - without the high pressure to sign a contract. (Nearly all their competitors ”

“José Felipe Martinez was my foreman for a major project that involved an exterior patio replacement with HOA approvals, vertical structural wall repairs, new stucco and reinstallation of the safety railing. Felipe and his crew were polite, professional and talented and they did a superb job. The reason that our HOA uses Hale’s exclusively for our flat roofing maintenance and repairs if evident and I am thrilled to have hired them for my patio replacement project. Felipe was a pleasure to work with and he kept me fully informed with no surprises. When first contacting Hale’s, Ben McLaughlin responded immediately, made a thorough evaluation and detailed scope of work and stuck to the estimate which I immediately approved. Please authorize a healthy bonus for Felipe and his crew. I am SO RE”

“Gosh, I can’t say enough about what a great experience I had with Hales Roofing. We had a long discussion about what types of materials would work for my roof. They were very polite, courteous, and professional from the initial persons I spoke with all the way through the people who installed the roof. My roof looks great. They were exceptionally neat I think I found a total of two Roofing nails around my property. And the rest was cleaned up. I really appreciated this a lot. I have made a note in my calendar to have you come out next year and check on the roof. Also, they were really fast. They installed the roof on my house and attached garage and an outbuilding in less than two days. This includes removing the old shingles, installing the underlayment and the other components of the roo”

“I 100% would recommend hales roofing. Very professional and detailed review of needed repairs with pictures. Chris and his coworker did a great job and did not rush and communicated with me before and after. Joe followed up a day later inspecting the job and showing me the after pictures. Very fair price. These guys are awesome!”

“Excellent installation of new roof on house and garage. Property left immaculate by the crew lead by Creighton Kim and Andrew Luyet. Drywall repair was well done and led by Marcos Romero and Gerald Velasquez.”
