“I did not call or authorize anyone from Lon Smith Roofing to get on my roof. It was clearly a wrong-address situation, and I understand that mistakes happen. However, if they had simply left a business card and a note saying, "We apologize, we went to the wrong property. If you have any questions, please contact us," this entire issue would have been avoided. Instead, there was no note, no business card, no explanation, and no attempt to communicate what had happened. From my perspective, it felt like a hit-and-run situation. Someone came onto my property unannounced, got on my roof, made noise banging and scraping, and then left without saying a word. Because there was no communication, I had to do all the work myself to find answers. I reviewed my camera footage, contacted the company, and even went to the house they were actually supposed to visit. “Updated: Lon Smith followed up with me and addressed all three of the issues I reported and I am very happy with the results. Because of this I’m changing my review from two to four stars. The quality of their roofing was in my view always top notch, I just had issues with the follow through this last time. I can report they fixed all the paint issues from the picture and it looks great. If you want a quality roofer, this is your company. All companies have issues it’s the follow through that matters and they made me very happy in this situation. I will use them again. “Terrible service, horrible roof job Thomas Kirkpatrick and Josh Brassfield have been unwilling to make the 2 year old roof job they did right after 3 competitors have come out and said the roof is bad and needs to be replaced. 30+ years the representative claims to have but says that he can't find evidence of any leak!? Why would the mayor of Fort Worth claim that this is the best roofing company in Tarrant County??, Doubtful with the evidence I have. No Faith, No Trust in this company ever again!”

“The Best company to work with! Chris Janecka was our inspector/estimator and he was wonderful to work with! Having a horse ranch our priority is the safety of the horses. Chris and the crew were very diligent at ensuring no nails were left on the ground. They meticulously covered the ground with tarps and cleaned every piece of debris up! I was in shock by the professionalism of the entire staff! It is rare to find a company that treats your property like it’s their own and Chris and the crew absolutely did that! “Having to get a new roof can be a costly pain but the minute we called Lon Smith Roofing all our worries faded away! Chris Janecka was our estimator and he could not have been more on top of all of our concerns. Polite and professional never treating us as if we were complicated or a pain. Our big concern was nails being left behind in the grass and workers smoking on the property. We were assured this would not be a problem and it wasn’t. The crew cleaned up every bit of debris each day they worked. Running magnet rollers around the surrounding structure multiple times a day. The crew on site went above and beyond to assist my wife when she needed near the area to retrieve stuff. They kept her, my son and all the animals safe while they worked. “So many roofers to choose from, especially after a hail storm. I looked on the internet and found Lon Smith roofing. They had an excellent BBB rating and great reviews from customers. They operate in the DFW/FW area and I was hoping they would come to Gainesville, thankfully they did. Shortly after calling their office they sent a roof inspector out to examine the room. Jeremy was very thorough in his inspection and even found a hole in the roof from the hail, which he put on a temporary patch. After turning in the claim to Farmers Insurance the insurance adjuster came to access all the property damage. Jeremy met him here and went with him on the inspection, clarifying what would or would not be covered. Jeremy worked up the price for needed repairs and we agreed to have Lon Smith Roofing do the job. After a rain delay they showed up at around 7:30 am and finished at 5pm. The job included the house, detached 2 car garage and a small barn. Cleanup was very good and the crew did a great job. I would not hesitate to recommend Lon Smith Roofing and Jeremy.”

“DO NOT do business with Lon Smith Roofing!!! They will say what they can to earn your business, but when they have you locked in on their contract, the quality of service and care goes down hill. We first worked with Paul Stewart, the estimator. He was very kind at first. He gave the whole speech about the company being in business for several years. He came to me with copies of the company's certificates, licenses, insurance, anything you can think of just to make Lon Smith look good. Being that he was an older man, I thought he actually cared about providing exceptional service to a family and their home. Boy I was wrong! Paul did an estimate for the hail damage on our fence along with the roofing. He told me had would send that information in to the insurance company and help us with getting that fix. PAUL WAS NOT CLEAR WITH ME THAT LON SMITH ROOFING DOES NOT POWER WASH AND RE-STAIN FENCES. Instead, he gave me a guy's number and told me to reach out to him. When I spoke to that person, he informed me that Paul told him that I filed an insurance claim, and for him to work with the dollar amount from the insurance company, and to figure something out. “We recently had a water main break near our house, shooting water into the air and onto our roof. With the stones in the street it was like our own private hail storm. We chose Lon Smith to replace our roof because we'd used them twice before and found them to be honest, efficient and professional. This time it was more of the same: They replaced our roof including our detached garage in a day, and worked with our insurance company to get reimbursed for the depreciation. I couldn't ask for a better experience.”

“The clean up was atrocious. We knew trucks and the debris containers would be there but we couldn’t even get to our front door or garage without tripping over crap left on the driveway. We had to clean up some debris after they left. They power sprayed the oil stains off the driveway. They had to pay for 4 plants that were walked on for 2 days. They had to send someone out to fix the broken sprinkler head they broke. I doubt seriously that they magne rolled our yard. I could see missing a few nails but we found 50. Yes 5-0. As you can guess not happy.”

“During some heavy rain in August, what turned out to be a multi-year leak in my roof caused a portion of the ceiling in a bedroom to collapse, allowing water to drip on furniture. I called as soon as I discovered it. Even though it was after regular business hours, they sent someone to patch the roof within an hour. I turned to them again to do the work prescribed by the insurance adjuster and am very pleased with the results. Everyone with whom I dealt was professional, courteous, and thorough. This was not my first experience with this company, and I will continue to call in them when needed.”
