About
Texas Traditions Roofing works from Georgetown in Texas on roofing projects throughout the central part of the state. In business since 2014, they earned votes as the top roofer in Georgetown for three years in a row. Their main work covers fixing damaged roofs, putting on new ones, and guiding customers through insurance claims when weather hits hard. A free inspection gets things moving right away. Local homeowners rely on this crew for direct answers on what needs fixing and how much it will run. They stick to practical methods that match the demands of Central Texas properties without adding unnecessary steps.
Roofers in Georgetown face constant pressure from the Texas sun that bakes shingles, hail that dents and cracks surfaces, and wind gusts that pull edges loose during spring storms. Texas Traditions Roofing handles these by checking for leaks under old layers, swapping out damaged sections or full roofs when needed, and coordinating with insurance on claims for storm repairs. They also keep up commercial roofs in spots like Round Rock and Austin where heat buildup and heavy rains wear down flat systems fast. Homeowners here often deal with aging roofs after a few brutal summers, and this outfit shows up to measure twice, order the right materials, and finish without leaving gaps that cause callbacks later.
Customers give high marks for getting roofs sealed tight the first time, quoting prices that hold without surprise add-ons, and answering calls the same day a problem shows up. The score reflects steady results on quality that lasts through another Texas season and on speed that stops leaks before they spread inside walls. Clear updates from start to finish help homeowners know what comes next without guessing. DIRT Score 4.81 from 427 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“I'm writing this review as fairly as possible. In fact, I debated whether to write it at all. I previously used Texas Traditions Roofing in 2019 when Wes was my point of contact, and the experience was phenomenal. Because of that positive experience, I hired them again for a DaVinci Roofscapes roof on my small 1,600-square-foot home. Unfortunately, this experience was very different. My primary point of contact was Cole. Initially, he was excellent. He seemed organized, reassuring, and confident that everything would be ordered correctly and that the project would run smoothly. I was excited to finally replace my aging roof, which was in very poor condition. I was originally told the project would take about three days. To be safe, I gave them a 13-day window. Even accounting for one rain day and two holidays, there were still 10 working days available to complete a relatively small roofing project. One of the biggest issues was project management and quality control. From what I understand, Texas Traditions Roofing uses subcontractors rather than in-house roofing crews. As a result, the quality can vary significantly. Some of the subcontractors were outstanding. The gutter crew (Ant gutter), for example, did an excellent job. Others, however, left a lot to be desired. Several issues had to be identified and documented by me rather than caught by the company. I found myself taking videos, following up repeatedly, and pointing out problems that should have been noticed during routine supervision. As the customer, I should not have had to manage quality control on the project. The largest frustration involved ordering materials. DaVinci roofs have optional specialty ridge caps that create a much more finished appearance. I specifically discussed these with Cole and was assured they had been ordered. When work began, they were not on site. They then had to be ordered, and when they finally arrived, there were not enough to complete the project. This resulted in additional delays and another trip back to the property. In total, I had to return to town four separate times because of ordering issues, contractor mistakes, and incomplete work. For context, this is a second home, so every trip required significant time and expense. The company did provide a $50 Tractor Supply gift card as a gesture for the inconvenience, which I appreciated, but it did not come close to offsetting the disruption caused by multiple return visits. To the company's credit, the owners and office staff were apologetic and ultimately made sure the project was completed. I appreciate that they did not walk away from the job and continued working until it was finished. That said, there were still details that should have been handled better. During the tear-off process, openings should have been covered to prevent debris from falling into the attic space. The drip edge installation could have been much cleaner and more uniform, as several seams appear irregular and inconsistent. Greater attention to detail throughout the project would have made a significant difference. The positive takeaway is that the completed roof appears to be performing well. The roofing system included an insulating layer between the decking and roofing material, and since installation my energy bills have dropped noticeably. That has been a welcome benefit. Overall, I cannot say this was a terrible experience, but it was certainly not the experience I had with Texas Traditions Roofing in the past. The company has some excellent people and some excellent subcontractors, but they need stronger project oversight, better material ordering procedures, and tighter quality control. Would I recommend them? Possibly—but only with the advice that homeowners stay actively involved, monitor the project closely, verify that all materials have been ordered before work begins, and insist on regular oversight of subcontractors. Had those things occurred on my project, many of the issues I experienced could have been avoided.”
“Texas Traditions Roofing made the entire process incredibly smooth from start to finish. They were able to schedule an inspection promptly, which I really appreciated. Their replacement cost was by far the most affordable compared to other roofing companies I contacted, without sacrificing quality. The crew was professional, efficient, and completed the entire job in just one day. The workmanship and overall service were excellent. I highly recommend Texas Traditions Roofing for anyone looking for a reliable and cost‑effective roofing company.”
“Texas Traditions Roofing deserves more than five stars! Thank you for your excellent and professional service. We had several roofing company reps stop by, and Cole Dunaway from Texas Traditions Roofing was different. He is absolutely fantastic! He was helpful, patient, and understanding. We never felt rushed to make a decision. He assessed our roof and managed to make the pricing reasonable (thank you, Cole). On project day, the workers arrived on time, the Superindent was there (and returned the next day to make sure the installation was good - thank you, Alex), the entire crew was professional, and our roof looks amazing! I would be remiss if I didn't mention, Sarah Morris; she's a gem of a person! (thank you, Sarah).”
“Three Comments: Roof - The repair went well. You have a good crew. Senior Discount: At the front end, I asked about a "senior discount". Your reply was you could probably arrange 2 - 3%. When I reminded the front office, you said the contract was signed, which it wasn't, and therefore, no. While my request might have been the first, it should come as no surprise given the area's senior population. While I have no complaint about the repair, I have reason to withhold my recommendation. Finally, leaving a comment is too involved reducing the amount of replies you will receive.”
“If you need a local Georgetown roofing expert you should contact Texas Traditions Roofing. I had a small leak in my bathroom ceiling from the recent 5+ inches of rain. The person that scheduled the site visit was very friendly and professional and even though my issue was somewhat minor it was treated as something that needed to be looked at right away. Cole Dunaway arrived the very next day and did an awesome job. He investigated from the attic and roof side and provided his findings with a few options. We decided to go with the simplest thing first which was sealing the edge of my ridge cap. This was my first time using Texas Traditions and I will definitely be using them for any future roofing needs. Thanks Cole!!”
