“People think I do a lot of reviews on Google, but I only review if I’m extremely impressed, extremely disappointed, or if a company asks me to give them a review. Today unfortunately I’m extremely disappointed. This is really sad because two of my friends are also currently looking for a roofer in Hutchins and in Wilmer due to hail damage. They know my sister got her roof done and I absolutely refused to recommend Hatley. My sister was so determined to support a black-owned business . I was there the day you came over and I heard her tell you that but I also heard her tell you that she’d never gotten a roof before and I believe the wheels in your brain began to go round and round. So many things went awry from the very beginning : you wouldn’t provide an estimate. You only wanted to know what the insurance was paying because your estimate is whatever the insurance paid plus the persons deductible. you had my sister sign a contract but you told her it was a letter of representation. It’s true she should have read it, but you’d already gained her confidence and she trusted you. : the contract states you get paid 30% of the total job had she chosen another contractor: she had 3 days to cancel the contract that she didn’t know was a contract: however you only provided her a copy of said contract 5 days later.. which would have made it too late to cancel: It’s a crime to take advantage of the elderly. I’m an honest reviewer.. so To all who need a roof.. the roof looks nice, it’s up to you to take that chance. However, you were supposed to also put the gutters on her house, since you were already paid for that. Your guys finished the roof over a month ago or longer. Two individuals showed up yesterday to do the gutters and I’m pretty sure I know why since my sister hasn’t heard from you. The gutters are the right color. The gutter work is mediocre at best. You were so focused on submitting more and more supplements to the insurance company so you could get more and more money for all the other things but you took forever to complete the first job that you’d been paid for in full. Sir, you absolutely took advantage of someone who really just wanted to support your business. You shared your story about your horse that got killed and clinched it. But like they say SOMETIMES IT BE YOUR OWN PEOPLE. When daylight hits, I’m going outside to take pictures and post the gutters.”

“The company completed a roof replacement a few years ago, turns out some recent wind damage blew shingles off exposing poor workmanship. I had 2 roofers examine the roof and was told the repairs weren't completed properly. The company didn't put roof paper down along my ridges..my wood had been exposed and has a little water damage too. When I brought it to the attn of the company by calling, texting, sharing photos and asking about the workmanship warranty, their reply was have your insurance company come out, you have to make a claim for the damage. Its a shame some companies don't stand by their work. After sending their roofer out to my home on March 6, 2024, Hadley Brothers agreed to complete the following repairs by replacing all water damaged wood, installing paper on the exposed ridges only (2) and replacing all shingles. At least now the roof is sound.”

When Hatley Brothers II gave me a quote, their's was not the lowest but based on their work on IG, I went with what looked to be quality work. I am glad I did! My roof (1600SF) was finished in one day! Their team followed up with me to make sure everything went well and I was satisfied with their work on the next business day. They even hand delivered a generous thank you gift!”

“Hatley Brothers 2 has done 2 roofs for me and both times they did an exceptional job.. Each job had issue after issue which was not the fault of the roofers. The homes were old and roofs were never replaced so required alot of extra work and expense. Hatley Brothers worked with me and fought for every $. They finished the job early with utmost quality. “Highly recommend! I was looking for a black owned contracting company and received the name Hatley Bros II from a facebook group. The company was prompt in responding, came out the next morning to give me a quote, took care of all permits, and finished construction in 5-6 days. I had a vision for a raised deck next to my patio with privacy panels, and a pergola. Hatley Bros II took that vision and exceeded my expectations, it looks Amazing, like a resort!”
