SPEC BUILDING MATERIALS

SPEC Building Materials runs its operations from Kansas City in Texas with a clear focus on roofing. They handle wholesale distribution of roofing products including materials for low slope roofs and steep slope applications plus all the necessary accessories and equipment. Local contractors turn to them when they need dependable supplies to complete jobs on homes and buildings around the area where weather can take a toll on structures quickly. The company works with roofers who face the challenges of keeping buildings protected in this part of the state through steady material support that matches real site conditions and daily demands on crews.

Roofing work in Kansas City Texas often involves dealing with intense summer heat that bakes shingles and underlayment along with sudden storms that bring high winds and heavy rain. Crews handle repairs on existing steep slope roofs by replacing damaged sections and sealing leaks before they spread into attics or walls. For low slope commercial and residential jobs the crews install proper membranes and flashings using equipment and accessories sourced locally to avoid long waits. Homeowners regularly call for full replacements when old roofs fail under repeated exposure or for new construction where decking and railings must go on right to support the layers above. These jobs require reliable stock on hand so projects stay on schedule without extra trips or substitutions that could weaken the final roof.

Customers note solid results on speed of material delivery and consistent quality that holds up once installed along with fair pricing that keeps overall project costs in line. Communication stays direct when questions come up about product specs or job sequencing. DIRT Score 4.05 from 115 reviews on Finds.

“Great company! Cody Snyder takes excellent care of us. Highly recommend asking for him - communication and customer service are hard to beat. Add Spec/ Cody to your team.”

“Easy to work with to order a custom window. Looked like they had a bunch of other building materials as well.”

“Not sure about much in the way of overnight parking here, and not sure about all the bad reviews of these people but I guess they could have been off when I was there. They get you inside the gate, get you checked in fast, and they dont let any grass grow under their feet getting you unloaded and out the gate. Good place to deliver to”

“Im in the business of foundation repair, I have no issues selling the windows they produce. Good quality windows for the price and Ed is always prompt. Someone get that man a raise! Good folks.”

“Late day Friday 3:00 our hot air welding robot broke down. I was in a pinch and most likely shorter than usual due to the machine only being 3 days old. But they agreed to stay after hours and look at it. Let's see if I leave with a repaired machine or a rental. Leister should have a better warranty program given their machine costs over $10,000 to buy. However, I'm giving kudos to Van their service tech and the management team coming through on such short notice !!!”

“Very helpful staff and reasonable prices for quality roofing materials.”

“They are good in making sure every customer is happy. I will buy more windows from these guys. I highly recommend them.”

“Check in building on right before fence. Second parking space to get unloaded. Lots of room. Great employees.”

“Terrible Company and very rude employees. Do not go here !”

“Didn't know they existed. Pleasant experience”
