Mendez General Contractors LLC

Mendez General Contractors LLC handles roofing and general contracting work out of Lubbock, Texas. The family owned business takes on residential and commercial projects across west Texas and the DFW area. Their services include roof replacement, gutter repairs, hail damage fixes, insulation, painting, and window installation. Customers describe roof replacements after storms, gutter installs with downspout fixes, and added work on patios or gates when crews spot issues on site. Others mention roofs finished in a week or two but then months of waiting for remaining repairs, with repeated calls and texts going unanswered until upper management stepped in.

The company keeps hours around the clock every day of the week. Reviews note quick initial responses and insurance claim handling in many cases, though follow-up contact drops for some after the first payment. Work covers Lubbock and the listed surrounding regions, with crews arriving early on jobs like leak fixes on Sundays and finishing without leaving debris.

“Extremely happy with the whole process. From start to finish the communication was great. The contractors we talked with before Mendez all had the same story of being 2-3 weeks delay on material. Mendez got us taken care of before they could. Highly recommended them.”

“JR, Jeremiah and everyone at Mendez have been extremely professional and prompt. They installed my roof quickly and correctly. They used high quality materials and have had constant communication with me. They did a wonderful job cleaning up as well. We are extremely satisfied with the final product and would definitely use Mendez again!”

“I’ve been waiting for over 4 months for my home to get fixed. Every time I ask for an updated status I get told someone will be there this week. No one ever shows up. When we hired the company to do our home they were texting and calling almost every single day asking for our insurance check to get started. As soon as I paid them I didn’t hear nothing from them until 2 months later. They worked on my roof and told me they were going to knock everything out within a week or two. After they finish my roof I didn’t hear from them until another month. Called and text multiple on site supervisors. No one would respond or answer. Had to call upper management for them to finally send someone out to work on part of my home. That was a month ago and haven’t seen anyone since. All their material they left has gotten rained on. While they were working on my home they removed shattered glass from the storm and left glass all in my yard. I had to text and call them multiple times about this. I have children that play outside all the time and could’ve easily got cut by their mistakes. Overall I am very unsatisfied.”

“I’ve had the worst experience with this contractor. The worst costumer service. They never give any updates on when your materials will be ready. They will give you a time an appointment and never show up or they will show up late with no update. I contracted this company when my home was hit by a storm last year and til this day my repairs have not been completed and now I haven’t been able to get a hold of anyone for the past 2-3 months.”

“My wife and I bought recently bought a house and moved back to Lubbock. I had Mendez General Contractors build an enormous back patio for us. I am so happy to have a nice place to relax, cook bbq, and make memories. I love how it turned out, and highly recommend them.”

“I recommended Mendez General Contractors to clients of mine, and they were so quick to respond and go to the home they were buying and inspect the roof after a hail storm. I also greatly appreciate their integrity and honest service when they told us the home did not need a new roof and would definitely recommend them again!”

“We love Mendez Contractors! They were quick, on time, and efficient on our gutter install. They also repaired some of our existing downspouts and when they noticed our side gate was broken they fixed that too. We are so happy to have found them. Will definitely do business again!”

“We've reached out via Facebook messenger to have our gutters fixed. We get automated responses. One response seems like a person was responding. We've called phone numbers and not getting anyone to respond or answer. Will update this once we get a response and have the gutters fixed.”

“I was very satisfied with my roof repair. Landon was very professional and informed me of everything in a manner I would understand! All the workers were very professional as well. I am definitely calling him back for more work I need done at my house and I will most definitely recommend Landon to others!”

“We are very happy with Mendez Construction. From the initial point of contact Landon was prompt and punctual. In this day of dealing with people who have no work ethic Landon and his crew exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend this company!”

“Landon and his two-man team arrived to work early on Sunday morning, 06/04/2023. His experienced crew immediately identified the source of the leak that's lately been dripping into the living room via one of the window frames. It was a pleasure meeting Landon and his small band of professionals. They were knowledgeable and they all had the nicest manners. Thank you sirs for you expediency and attention to detail. We strongly recommend Mendez General Contractors LLC.”
