American Solar & Roofing

American Solar & Roofing runs its operations from Phoenix, TX with a main focus on roofing work for houses and smaller commercial buildings. The outfit takes on new roof installs, leak repairs, and full replacements when old materials give out under the local conditions. They also handle solar panel mounting as part of some projects, but the roofing crews stay active year round because of the steady demand from sun exposure and wind that wears down shingles and underlayment faster than in cooler regions. Homeowners around here call when tiles crack or flashing starts to pull away, knowing the team understands how the dry heat and sudden storms affect roof structures over time.

Roofing crews from the company head out to check attic spaces and decking for rot or weak spots before starting any repair or replacement. They remove damaged layers, install fresh underlayment that resists heat buildup, and seal edges tight so water stays out during heavy rains that hit the area. Common jobs include fixing ventilation problems that cause insulation to fail and swapping metal panels on outbuildings that have rusted through from constant sun. Workers bring the right equipment to handle steep pitches and tight timelines, working through the day to keep dust and debris contained while they finish the job without leaving loose materials behind for the next wind event.

Homeowners in Phoenix, TX note that jobs finish on schedule with materials that hold up through the seasons and no extra charges added later. The crews keep conversations direct about what needs doing and when, which cuts down on delays and callbacks. Quality shows in roofs that stay leak free after the first big storm, and the overall cost lines up with what similar outfits charge without the runaround. DIRT Score 4.46 from 429 reviews on Finds.

“American Solar has a real gem in their service technician Danny, who came to address a problem which has been intermittently dogging me for a couple years. As a retired software engineer, I’m familiar with the term CNR meaning “Can Not Reproduce” - we often used it as an excuse to move on, give up, and wait for the customer to actually demonstrate the issue. Danny however was proactive and actively in pursuit of a resolution. First, by addressing a couple issues within the inverter, he was able to consistently reproduce the issue which had disappeared by the time he arrived at my house. Second, by some real painstaking investigation under many of my solar panels, he located the actual fault - a cracked panel connector. I’m truly grateful for American Solar & Roofing’s service av”

“The American Solor & Roofing team did an excellent and professional job installing the solar panels, conduit, inverter and critter screens on my Tucson home! Jose made sure I was informed on scheduling. Mary Anne was superb scheduling, providing plans and securing permits/inspections from my HOA, Pinal County, and TRICO. I highly recommend America Solar and Roofing for your solar project.”

“16 years ago American Solar & Roofing installed a solar system on my home. I am currently replacing the underlayment of the roof and will have to remove and reinstall or upgrade our solar system. As various roofers bid on the job they all responded how impressed they were on how the solar system was installed and held up. The solar is still producing enough capacity not to warrant the cost of upgrading except for the hardware supports. American Solar & Roofing provided the recommended support hardware which will be used. When the time comes to upgrade the solar system I would without hesitation call American Solar and Roofing.”

“A 10year satisfied customer enjoying tax-free income. I chose AS&R because I wanted a single supplier for roofing and solar and am happy with both. I have recoated my flat roof twice and had trouble free solar power. Solar panels provide me with a tax-free return on my very reasonable investment. I would strongly recommend AS&R for a solar installation.”

“Danny was excellent! He took the time to answer a barrage of questions as we’re new to Solar. He was professional, patient, knowledgeable and very personable. Gave us some tips and tricks to watch out for as well as how to maintain the system. Couldn’t have asked for a better technician!”

“I have had a system for twenty years. They replaced two inverters no charge. One I paid for w/o realizing I should have filed a claim three months earlier. My fault, my lesson. I WILL watch and explain after 3 months from now after my billing changes back to standard.”

“I have had nothing but positive results from my solar and my interaction with the company. Nothing went wrong for 18 years and then I had to have a new converter which is not out of line. And it cost me nothing. I recently had the upgrade for summer and my electric bills dropped substantially. all great for me.”

“We inherited a solar system with a recent home purchase and needed to get the old owners removed and us linked to the system for monitoring and trouble alerts. Danny took good care of us. It was more elaborate than I expected but he did an excellent job. Definitely not anything myself or any homeowner could have handled alone without professional assistance.”

“Danny arrived on time , moved a few things in my garage to remove the old inverter, the new one is much smaller so he had to move the cables around to make a great fit, he plug the holes where the old inverter was. Doubled checked everything, made sure I understand how everything worked, went on the roof and checked the panels to insure everything on the roof was working, he is a good man. He is an asset to your company for sure!”

“Raleigh was very professional and very knowledgeable. He walked through steps and was able to answer all my questions. He found ways to solve problems that arose to make myself feel as the up most importance. Excellent service. Would highly recommend.”
