Apex Gutters

Apex Gutters runs out of San Marcos, Texas as a locally owned family operation led by JJ. They handle gutter installs and repairs, cleanings, leaf guards, and custom holiday and landscape lighting. The crew also manages color matching on homes, rainwater tank setups, and fixes on roofs or add-ons. Additional work covers outdoor lighting projects and jobs that tie into roofing schedules.

Homeowners describe installs on houses with varied roof pitches where the crew figured out water flow to keep it away from foundations. JJ removed old gutters during other roofing work and hauled them off, added leaf guards without extra charge on one side with a tree, and put up Christmas lights that came down with care the next year. Other jobs included cleanups on one house and full installs on another for the same owner, fixes at a church, and matching colors so the new gutters blended right in.

The crew shows up for estimates the same day or next, arrives on schedule for the work, and stays in touch about timing and scope. Pricing comes in fair and competitive based on what reviewers paid for similar jobs, with no push for unneeded extras. They work daytime hours most weekdays starting early, shorter Saturday mornings, and Sunday afternoons, covering San Marcos and spots toward Austin.

Reviewers rate the outfit 4.8 from 45 reviews, with repeated notes on reliability, fast completion, solid communication, and work that holds up over time, though one mentioned a missed time slot for taking down lights.

“We had an amazing experience with Apex Gutters! Our house has a lot of different pitches and add-ons, but they were able to help us figure out how to correctly divert all the water away from the house. We got the exact color we wanted and I think they have the best prices for quality work! The crew was nice and got the job done quickly. 10/10”

JJ told me he would be at my 86 yo Mothers home to take down the Christmas lights on 1-17-26 between 10-11am……I called and texted him and he’s still not here at 4pm, no phone call or text, nothing! I do NOT recommend him! Lance Self”

“Apex, gutters, San Marcos, Texas, I'm here to tell you, this guy is amazing. I'm in the construction business, and I talked to 4 different gutter, installed companies, and nobody would do it the way I wanted. Nobody would show up when they were supposed to it was a nightmare like always, then. I got ahold of Apex as a referral from a friend of mine. These guys are amazing called me up, showed up within a day. Right when he said he was right on time. Looked at the job, he said. If you want to get it done, I'll go by the coil right now and be ready to put it on Saturday morning. Well, Saturday morning came. He calls me shows up early. Did an amazing job couldn't recommend him enough super great company. Super great guy. Anybody you know, that needs gutters? This is definitely the company to talk to. He did my house in San. Antonio and like I said, I could not be happier.”

“Local to San Marcos, TX, Apex Gutters is the right choice for San Martians. We bought out first house in January of this year, and Apex installed our gutters in early Spring. The owner came out to see what we would need, came up with a design that would put the water out where it could flow away and not build up, and he and his guys took measurements. Immediately after installation, they were beautiful. They match the house, looking like they'd always been there, and they're excellent quality, sturdy, solid, and a good size. He added leaf guards on one side where there was a tall tree without charge, and he offered to come back to install a rain barrel later, also without charge. He's a good guy who lives in town with his family. His son was there working with him, and one day I drove by his house and saw him loading up for a new job. He's a great neighbor working hard to keep San Marcos beautiful and being neighborly to his customers when he doesn't have to. Several months and a LOT of rain later, we are super happy with our gutters and grateful to have a neighbor we can trust with future work. I believe he also does lighting installation for landscape and special events. 🎄”

“Team JJ with Apex Gutters did an excellent job in communicating the project scope. Their work was done very professionally, informative, on time, and installed with precision. We are very pleased with our overall experience and would highly recommend their service. RH”

“Company was punctual and efficient. They helped me find the right color to match the house, finished on time and even blew the leaves off the roof when they were finished. Would recommend for gutters to anyone wanting to upgrade the house.”
