United Roofing and General Contracting

United Roofing and General Contracting handles roofing work from their base in Scottsdale, TX. They focus on installing and repairing roofs for houses and smaller commercial buildings throughout the area. The Texas heat bakes shingles year after year while sudden hail and high winds tear at edges and flashings, so local roofers stay busy with replacements that hold up under those conditions. Homeowners here face constant pressure from expanding neighborhoods and older stock that needs attention before leaks turn into bigger interior damage. The crew shows up with the tools and materials suited to the job rather than pushing extra services.

They handle full roof replacements using asphalt shingles or metal panels depending on the structure, along with leak repairs around chimneys and vents, and regular inspections after storms. Crews start with a walk on the roof to mark damaged sections, then remove old layers before laying down new underlayment and covering. In Scottsdale the work often includes sealing against dust and extreme temperature swings that crack seals over time. Customers mention jobs where technicians replaced entire sections after heavy rain exposed weak spots, or where they matched existing tile on additions without delays from material shortages. The process stays straightforward with daily updates on progress and costs kept in line by sticking to the agreed scope.

Homeowners in the area keep coming back because the work gets done on schedule without corners cut on materials or safety. They notice roofs that stay watertight through the next season of storms and bills that match the original estimate without surprise add-ons. Communication stays clear from the first visit through final walkthrough, and the crews clean up debris before leaving the site. That steady record of finishing on time with durable results and straight talk on price builds the kind of reputation that lasts in a trade where shortcuts show up fast. “United Roofing did a great job on my home's roof. The company helped me through the process of dealing with the insurance company. The roofing replacement was very well organized. The roofing tear off and removal of my solsr system and swamp cooler were all done in one day. The new roof was completely installed in a single day. New ventilators, new flashings, side board replaced, location of the old swamp cooler was sealed off. Excellent work”

“Erik and Elliot were fantastic from start to finish. They were very knowledgeable and very helpful with dealing with the insurance and able to keep the process moving forward. They were able to get everything worked out within a couple weeks and start work on the room. The efficiency of removing the old roof and installing the new roof was unheard of. Start to Finish was about 7 hours. Clean up was spotless and never would have known they were there, ensuring the backyard and grass was clean and safe for the kids to play. Can't recommend United Contracting Group enough if you need need your room replaced.”

“Wish I could give more than a 5 star review. For this 74 yr old woman having to handle all of the household issues because my husband is incapacitated, I can say there has been nothing but honest professionalism from all I have worked with at UCG. They have helped handle all correspondence for my roof with the insurance company, kept me informed every step of the way and gone above with their kindness in getting things handled. In addition. The roof looks beautiful! The work and cleanup was very neat and timely. It has definitely enhanced the look of our home. So many positive comments from our neighbors. Derek has been my go to guy and has been wonderful to work with. He was very patient with my questions and kept me informed every step of the way. I HIGHLY recommend United Contracting”

“I had this company do a large roof that was insurance work several years ago. At the same time I had them do a small flat roof over my garage. The flat roof began leaking last August leading to the roof in the garage falling in. After many ignored messages and phone calls I got ahold of them and they finally sent someone out to look. Then I never heard back. I have been trying to call them for the last 2 weeks with no response. I tried calling today and all their numbers are disconnected. I assume that they have gone out of business which will likely render their warranties unenforceable. What an unethical company. I believe their owner is Jared Huston. I would make sure any company you do business with is not owned or operated by him. Incidentally they claim 25yrs in business ho”

“I am very pleased & satisfied with the work & professionalism of all parties involved in the installation of the roof @ my home. I have received several compliments from neighbors about how good the roof looks & how amazing that it was completed in one day. The crew started work early before 7am & completed around 3:30 or 4pm. Thanks to United Contracting Group for an excellent job. I gladly recommend them for their good work & cleanup.”

“I am so very pleased with this company. These guys did an awesome job start to finish. I was a bit skeptical at first when I was initially approached by this company, but I did my research online and decided to give the insurance claim process a chance. I am so glad I did, the whole experience was pleasant and easy. They got the whole project paid for by my insurance, and upgraded the roof to a beautiful concrete tile. I was told that all I had to do was pay my deductible at the end as long as I was happy with the workmanship and quality of material. They honored their word and did an amazing job installing and cleaning up the house. I am so grateful I answered the door that day and give these guys a chance. Once the process was done I recommend them to my Mother-in-law and she is just as ”

“United Contracting Group Is an honest and trustworthy Company. I worked with Riley Michael and Thomas D. They went beyond the scope of assisting meth rough the whole process- They were respectful and did not “Talk Down” to me. I am a Senior Citizen with over a 90 percent Vision Loss. When I say Trustworthy, I mean integrous. -They really do Care ab about their customers. I had storm damage and later found out fire damage (from a neighbor’s house fire) to my Cedar Shake Roof. They handled all the Insurance Company Interaction and Details. I Live in a Neighborhood, The Groves of Gilbert with a VERY Difficult Architectural Review Board, biased and subjected to THEIR Personal taste. Yes, you need to get their approval even when it is an Emergency to have the tarp covered Roof Replace. Due to”

“Joe and his team were great! Joe thoroughly inspected my whole roof and gave 3 different quotes to repair the damage. I chose the better of the 3 because of the warranty. I can’ t express enough about the great job they did! Thank you!”

“They replaced our roof in 2021 and did a great job. Responded to my texts promptly and did a great job on the roof. We are now selling the house 4 years later and the buyer wants a receipt of the work done on the roof which of course I can’t find. I called and talked to Nick. He was super nice about it and sent over what I needed within 30 mins. Highly recommend!”
