Goodwin & Sons Painting

Goodwin & Sons Painting operates as a family-owned outfit based in Tucson, TX with a clear focus on roofing services for homes and businesses across the area. Their background includes handling exterior work that protects structures from the intense Texas sun and occasional heavy storms, extending into roof repairs and replacements that keep properties sound. Local homeowners often contact them when dealing with wear from high temperatures and wind that can damage shingles or cause leaks over time. The crew approaches each project with practical methods suited to the dry climate and sudden weather shifts common in this part of the state.

They handle full roof installations, leak fixes, shingle replacements, and inspections that catch issues before they spread to ceilings or walls. Crews start with on-site assessments to identify problem spots like cracked flashing or worn underlayment, then carry out the work using materials that stand up to prolonged heat exposure. Customers in Tucson, TX frequently need help after summer peaks when roofs show signs of UV damage or after wind events that loosen tiles. The team coordinates material deliveries and works around daily schedules to minimize disruption, completing jobs from initial tear-off through final sealing without unnecessary delays.

Customers consistently note the quick response times when roofs fail during storms, the solid quality of the finished work that holds up without callbacks, and fair pricing that avoids inflated charges for standard repairs. Communication stays clear from the first call through project wrap-up, with updates on timelines and costs that match what actually gets done. This builds steady trust among Tucson, TX homeowners who face repeated roof stress from the local weather patterns. DIRT Score 4.89 from 134 reviews on Finds.

“I am very pleased with Goodwin & Sons Painting and highly recommend them for your painting needs. I reached out to them in July of 2026 to paint the exterior of our home. Justin Goodwin arrived on schedule and conducted a thorough examination of my painting needs and promptly provided me with a written, detailed quote. The job was scheduled and the painting project was done in a timely, professional, workmanship-like manner. Their painting crew, Allen and Cesar, showed up each day right on time, took great care to protect and respect our property, cleaned up after each day of work and showed us their work after the job was done. This paint project conducted by Goodwin & Sons Painting is the best we've ever experienced. I would not hesitate to use them again.”

“Goodwin and Sons did a great job painting my house and recoating my roof. The house looks the best I've ever seen it. Their guys worked hard, obviously cared about their work and were courteous throughout the engagement. Ernesto was especially good to work with and ensured that everything was done to a high standard. I've had lots of work done on lots of houses around the country over the years and Ernesto was one of the best, if not THE best I've worked with. It was a pleasure doing business with them.”

“We had a really great experience with Goodwin and Sons Painting. The stucco on our house was cracking and crumbling in a number of places and they repaired the stucco and made it look brand new. They also did a superb job painting our house exterior and the walls around our house. As well, Goodwin and Sons did very nice work painting the interior of our garage. Before doing so, they expertly removed the popcorn drywall texture from the garage ceiling and replaced it with a more modern looking knockdown drywall texture. Further, not enough can be said about the professionalism of their work crews. They worked long 10-11 hour days, arriving promptly at 7am every morning and were respectful, courteous, and always cleaned up after themselves. The owners of the company, Justin and Denise, we”

“Justin and his team at Goodwin & Sons was great to work with and they did a phenomenal job at our office. We needed dry wall done and they were able to work around our office schedule to put up beautiful walls that created a new experience for our office. He is very up front and honest about the job and process of doing the work. His team is kind and helpful while during the project, and overall it was a great experience. I recommend anyone who is interested in dry wall jobs, painting jobs, or a variety of residential or commercial work to reach out to Goodwin & Sons to see how they can help you. Thank you Justin and Goodwin & Sons!”

“Ernesto's crew, consisting of Pablo, Carlos and Chad, did an outstanding job! They were all very professional and detail oriented in all aspects of the job. The entire crew was knowledgeable and were always willing answer any questions we had about/during the project. The owners Denise and Justin were responsive during the entire process. We recommend Goodwin & Sons Painting and would use them in the future!!”

“I cannot express how satisfied I am with the quality of work and care that Goodwin and Sons showed in painting my dryvit home in February. Justin, Cesear Leo, and Isaac all went above and beyond my expectations in revitalizing my home's look and value. They came to work professionally prepared, on time, and were transparent in communicating any progress or concerns that would arise. They spent a total of three days working diligently and came for a fourth to do amazing touchups that most companies wouldn't bother for. This local family-owned Tucson company is a gem. Everything from my polite phone/email conversations with Denise, to Cesear clearing off our public sidewalk of rocks after cleanup was incredible. 100% recommended.”

“In July we contracted with Denise and Justin to paint our exterior patio overhangs, exterior door, metal gates, ramada and stain french doors in the front and back of our home. Denise came to our home and gave us a quote the next day. Their quoted price was reasonable based on other competitive quotations. We chose Goodwin and Sons because they are a local family owned business and customer reviews were the highest of the companies we researched and they were very personable. Their team was on time, professional, friendly and courteous. Their attention to detail was second to none. They use top quality paints as well. The end result was beautifully painted patio coverings and stained doors. Overall, we are ecstatic with the completed work and enthusiastically recommend them for painting ”

“We could not be happier with the work this company did on our home. The crew were awesome, dedicated, professional and more. We had so much tile surrounding our home and the yard walls that had to be masked of before the painting could even begin not to mention the stucco repairs and no one ever complained. I felt bad for them actually. Nevertheless, we highly recommended Goodwin and Sons and fully intend on using them again. Their work was impeccable! 😀 Thank you to all and a big thank you to Denise and Justin for taking such good care of us.”

“Justin and his crew at Goodwin & Sons do an amazing job with both interior and exterior painting. I'm selling my parent's house and it had not been painted in decades. Ernesto, Leo, and Issac came out and over 4 days they painted the interior, exterior, security bars, and the pool cool deck. The best part about their work is the quality of the job. When they see something that doesn't look good, they go back and add an extra coat, some caulking, or start over so that the end result will be good quality. A lot of contractors just try to complete the job as soon as possible. Goodwin completes the work as if they were doing it on their own home. The attention to detail is excellent and if you see something that isn't up to your standards, they are happy to fix it, unlike many companies now. I”
