“The Sales rep Yousef was awesome , explained everything and answered all our questions. The presentation was informative to say the least. The installation of our 34 panels were perfect, so were Christian all the guys who did the work. Quick turn around and waiting for inspection from the city now. Once this is all a go let’s see how much we can save . Update: 06/02/2024. People we have a negative electric bill of $180 since we switched to a better electric company. I can’t be happier thanks to Yousef who helped us out tremendously. We don’t pay a dime to the electric company, they pay us. Best decision we ever made”

“Would give them zero if I could! Don’t get any service with them!!!!! This company is an absolute Scam!! DO NOT GET SOLAR WITH THEESE PEOPLE !! These people damage my roof with the nails and did not caulk it right and now they do not want to pay for the damages and I’m stuck without a roof with a kid at home and an elderly person. They do not answer my phone calls and they do not, want to be responsible for the damages take it for me. “We came across Pure Energy in September 2022. Since then we have dealt with their one of their employees giving us a fictions check to them damaging our roof. Now we are dealing with our roof leaking in the specific spots where they nailed down the panels. We have contacted them multiple times in order to make it right but all we’ve received is evasive responses. They have taken told us in writing that it was their fault but fail to actually fix the issue. Overall our experience with Pure Energy has been disappointing and regretful. We have been given the run around by all the reps beginning with McKay Erickson to Gabriel Garcia. No one in the company has given us a straight answer or taken responsibility. Please save yourself the hassle of dealing with this company.”

“Overall we are ok with the solar but highly recommend you do your own research and do not listen to the sales rep because they are very misleading. Almost nothing was the same. Install was smooth and quick but they left a mess, I was left picking up zip ties and trash in the back yard. The main gentleman installing was very experienced and kind when I asked questions. You only seeing the savings on the high months and are actually going to pay more because of the solar payment on the lower ones so your saving are yearly in the long run so be ready for that. It’s about $1500/year for us. The absolute worst part is they don’t tell you that the reps just show up at your house whenever they want and want to be let into your garage, take pictures, fix things it’s awful! I have asked them multiple times for them to let me know up to one hour in advance before somebody shows up at my door and they just refused to do it. And it’s everyone the inspectors, the techs, reps, today a random guy to take pics. Today they showed up to take pictures of our AC and we have no idea why because no one let us know and I was on a really important work call that got interrupted and it was so unprofessiona”

When it comes to Texas, Pure knows what they are doing vs all these out of state companies cutting corners and 3rd partying out their installs. “I purchased solar panels from Pure energy, with the promise of solar panels replacing my electric bill, in a sense. This idea was presented as lowering my electric bill to only a few dollars a month due to the solar panels over producing solar energy which the electric company will then buy back once i enroll in their 1 for 1 buy back program. I was instructed to Google search the best buy back programs in Texas and to specifically request their 1 for 1 solar buy back program. Since then, I Google searched the current leaders in 1 for 1 Solar Buy back programs and have ended up going through all of these companies who were considered top leaders when using this search. Green Mountain, Oktopus, Just Energy, APG&E, and Txu I have spoken with Pure Energy several times requesting their presence on a conference call with each of these electric companies to assist me in explaining what I am needing from them. “Roof replacement. I specifically asked what happens when I get a new roof, they said we will take them down store them and put them up for free. THAT is the main reason I went with them. THEY ARE NNNOOOTTT DOING THAT. They want to charge me $12,008.50 to do it. THEY ARE LIARS!!! Everything seems good, install, electric use, BUT WHEN YOU NEED THEM THEY RRRIIIPPP YOU OFF. “Just moved into a new home, and unfortunately had to deal with this company's aggressive and misleading sales tactics a couple of weeks ago. The sales representative overstayed his welcome, dodging my questions and opting instead to launch into lengthy explanations of how solar panels work and how I would recoup my investment—never providing clear answers to my direct inquiries about costs. A conversation that was supposed to last 15-20 minutes dragged on for nearly two hours. I typically have a policy of avoiding door-to-door salesmen, but I decided to give this representative a chance. Regrettably, the experience only reaffirmed my disdain for such deceptive and slick sales approaches. The representative attempted to rush me into signing off on a loan, a detail conveniently omitted until the last moment, embellished with misleading assurances and an excessive interest rate of 7%+. I want to make it clear: I am not disputing the value of solar panels. They can indeed be a worthy investment when approached correctly. However, the underhanded tactics employed by this company, including coercing customers into predatory loan agreements and sidestepping crucial details, are unaccept”

“I was told that if I stay under around 1100 kwh a month, I would have one bill. I just spoke to Soliirite who provides the power that I will always have 2 bills and that they provide 78% of my electricity. That Pure Solar Rep lied to me.”

“Total experience with Pure has been amazing! Pure, being a local company, was able to get me a much better deal than the other solar company I was under contract with (beware going solar with your security system provider as more hands are now in the pot so more $$$). Pure, and especially their sales representative Yousef Tawhed, helped us through everything, was very responsive (not like the other company), and the install was super quick and efficient! Since the install, the solar panels are working great and we do not regret anything!”

Don’t get me wrong, I believe solar panels can be great, but in our case, our electric bill is still very high, plus we have to pay for the solar panel loan so it was not finically helpful which is what the whole company stands on. I was told our bill would be no higher than $85 a month, and we just had an almost $400 electric bill, on top of $185 bill for the loan. Do not go with this company, they are a SCAM.”

“From start to finish working with this company was a nightmare. We were promised incentives that we never received. Our original representative McKay Erickson flat out stopped responding to messages and phone calls. We were told about a tax credit that we would receive for getting solar panels only to find out we may never qualify for them because of tax liability. (They left that part out.) It took 6 plus months because people didn’t care to communicate or do the job correctly. Had I been fully informed, I would’ve never chosen this company, let alone purchased any panels.”

“Lied to from the beginning. Specifically went with this solar company because they stated they could install a generator as well. Originally stated we would have over $10k put towards the generator and installation. Received a check for $6,500 (which we couldn’t cash) and were told that we had to source our own generator and installation which will easily cost $12k. They refuse to give any additional credit. The manager is new and has no idea what is going on and the office staff are even less helpful. The sales rep who promises to be a point of contact, non-existent after you sign paperwork. We had to change electric companies where our bill has doubled AND paying for the solar panels. Pure Energy has been a total disappointment and we should have gone with a different company. Do not waste your time or money with these people.”

“I started the process to install solar panels with Pure in April. My house is surrounded by trees which makes it nearly impossible to even consider solar panels. But my wife and I have wanted to try to go green so we heard their sales rep out. The sales rep told me that he had guys that he worked with who would trim my trees if I signed so there’d be nothing to worry about. I told him to put it in writing so he sent me a separate e-mail acknowledging our agreement. When I spoke on the phone with the another rep, they told me that I’d be responsible for the trees. I went back and spoke to the rep and was told that this was something he did for his customers to make sure they were taken care of. My bells started going off real hard at this point. The sales rep also told me there’d be no cancellation if I decide to back out as long as no panels had been installed. I was getting calls about the installation team needing to be dispatched, was told my trees needed to be trimmed, and guess what. Sales rep didn’t have a team to dispatch. I cancelled that day. Now they’re trying to say I owe them $2,255. Stat away from this company. They’re as crooked as they come.”
