“They had very knowledgeable salesman that knocked on our door despite the no soliciting sign. These young men reminded us of all of the benefits of solar energy that we learned in elementary school. They walked us through the energy savings and how the cost would be so low. We were sold hook line and sinker for solar energy and a low cost. Fast forward two years and our electric bill has not gone down. A representative from their company was supposed to walk us through the buyback program with the cities energy company, but that did not happen. So Now we are paying our normal electric bill plus $110 a month for the solar panel loan. They also told us we would get a tax credit that would help us pay off the loan. That was also a lie. It’s a nonrefundable tax credit which means it will pay off money you owe to the IRS, but you cannot use it to pay off the solar loan. So here we are two years later with a 25 year $30,000 loan and Electric bills that are the same as they were before. They also used a loan company that has gone bankrupt and all communications we’ve had with that loan company have been negative.”

“EDIT - 5/5/26 Revising my review from 5-star to 1-star. I am currently investigating the possibility that I have been duped. While Dawn to Dusk technically did a fine job with the installation, they sold me on solar, promising between a 40%-50% reduction in my current electric payments. Six months in, the reality is that we are 10%-30% HIGHER than we were this time last year. One part of that is we were not told we would have to set up solar export buy back plans ourselves. And now we've given around 2100kwh of free solar energy back to the grid with no compensation. When we first started talking to D2D back in February on this, it took a month for their rep to get back to us via email. And when they did, they said that they were only the installer and that GoodLeap (Solar Edge) was now the contact for support. I talked with GoodLeap and they explained more about the Solar buyback. In Texas, prepare for a maze of rates, incentives, refunds, contracts, and conditions to figure out which of those programs works for you. Oh, and then you'll learn that you may need to figure out how to manually adjust settings on your battery to "optimize". And, the solar contract is a 25-year contrac”

“I invested in solar panels and what a disaster. I have 2 meters on my electric pole and Oncor had the primary meter wrong and the solar Dawn to Dusk made the proper installation to what was supposed to be the right meter according to Oncor but it was not. They do not want to have anything to do with the reconnecting to correct meter because it's 3rd party and now Dawn to Dusk will not help NOR RESPOND to this issue. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SOLAR INSTALLATION TEAM.”
