About

Conway Corp runs utility services out of Conway, AK. They handle electric, water and wastewater, video, internet, voice and security for both homes and businesses through one account setup. The company manages sign ups, service upgrades, transfers and outage reports along with bill payments and basic troubleshooting for all those lines.

Reviewers describe frequent internet drops that hit during work hours and force restarts multiple times a day even after multiple technician visits and equipment swaps. Billing draws repeated complaints around sewage charges that rely on estimates instead of meters and around late fees that appear fast when autopay misses or due dates stay fixed. A few customers mention positive fixes such as Takenya adjusting a high water bill after a running toilet was repaired and Aaron checking an odd internet problem on site.

Response times vary with quicker action on disconnections than on reconnections and long phone hold times common when trying to reach support. Staff sometimes walk callers through steps that do not resolve the issue and due dates cannot be shifted even by a few days. Outage work during storms has drawn note for staff staying on after hours and some calls getting answered right away.

The record shows a 2.7 DIRT score alongside a Google rating of 3.1 from 192 reviews. Internet reliability and billing practices come up most often as pain points while occasional mentions of helpful staff stand out in the mix. DIRT Score 2.7 from reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

“Only good reviews on here are fake. I have proof of my Central air being broken and the apartment maintenance forms, but apparently when your house is 90 degrees for a week, the great people at Conway Corp won't bat an eye at your bill being double what it's supposed to be. "We don't do discounts" is the only answer I got as they rushed me out the door. Too bad utility companies have a monopoly over their area, or Conway Corp would be out of business. Even having your employees boost your google reviews doesn't help when you operate a business like this lol.”

“Wish this wasn't the only utility place in Conway. My account is set up on autopsy to the bank account and there is plenty of money in there so I dont understand how im getting late fees, notices my bills overdue, internet being disconnected. I need the internet for the business it just makes no sense. You call them they walk you through it like your stupid and they dont even know what they are doing it seems like. Do better”

Jenny Suarez

“Terrible billing practices especially with sewage bill. Apparently they have the right to charge whatever they "feel" is your usage since no meters exist to actually tell how much you should be charged. I hope I can move out of their service area at some point because their customer service and billing practices are both terrible in my opinion.”

David

“I would just like to acknowledge how AMAZING Takenya is. We had a broken toilet and it skyrocketed our bill. I showed proof of getting it fixed. She worked her magic and helped with adjusting it. She was kind, concise, knowledgeable, professional, and personable. Conway Corp should be very proud to have her on their team!”

Shelby Blacksmith

“They changed to a streaming service and now the app is always down. Tornado sirens going off all over the neighborhood and I’m trying to get a news channel up to see the weather and all the Conway corp app/service does is give a spinning wheel. Terrible service since they switched from cable to streaming.”

Ashley Brockman

“I really wished they were as quick to reconnect services as they are when they go to disconnect them. They take all their sweet time. That is very disappointing”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Service and Genuine Care — Conway Corp Sets the Standard! I’ve always heard amazing things about Conway Corp, like how quickly they respond to outages, how attentive their customer service is, and how convenient it is to have all utilities bundled into one easy payment. People I talk to are often amazed that a company like this even exists, and now I can say from personal experience that the praise is well deserved. Recently, I experienced an unusual internet issue.. something that didn’t even seem likely to be Conway Corp’s fault but their internet team wasted no time sending someone out to take a look. That’s when I met Aaron, who went far above and beyond anything I expected. Aaron was prompt, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He quickly identified a complex problem involving a parallel network that was interfering with mine and explained that the best fix might be to reset my neighbor’s router. As chance would have it, while we were outside discussing the issue, my neighbor happened to pull into his driveway so Aaron and I walked over to ask if he’d be willing to let us reset his router. The gentleman mentioned that he needed to get inside quickl”

“This company is inflexible, but that’s no surprise with a monopoly I suppose. It’s apparently impossible to move the due date by a few days. They immediately charge late fees because of course taking even more of your money is the solution.”

Richard Clark

“Internet service sucks. Call them weekly about it dropping multiple times a day. Work from home and can’t even have a meeting without it dropping. Lip service each time, never fix the issue. There needs to be a class action lawsuit for theft, taking our money for a service and not giving us the service we pay for.”

JJ Leviticus

“For the most part I rate Conway Corp highly: for most utilities, price, and friendly, helpful customer service I've been very satisfied with one exception. Internet dropouts are driving me around the bend! We moved in 17 months ago, and have had our modem and router replaced AND a booster added, but yesterday, for example, I was on a very important call and we had to call each other back 7 times because the WiFi phone kept dropping out. This happens with some regularity, too, and affects my work since I work from home and am often having to upload/download or send/receive large files, participate in Zoom conferences, etc. We live in an established neighborhood (our house is 30 years old, for example) and well within the city along a major road. We thought that perhaps AT&T installing fiber optic cable in the area earlier this year might have created some temporary interference, so we shrugged it off and figured once they were done, things would settle down, but we are now seriously considering switching TO AT&T if this situation doesn't improve. It's truly maddening to have to reset everything 10x/day!”

Karen Griebling

“Worst internet provider I have ever used. Consistently faulty connection through both Wi-Fi and ethernet, I have at least one guaranteed 10-45 minute long complete outage a day. Sure they'll be able to send someone out to look at it, but after a dozen visits worth of rewiring cables and connecting new adapters, at some point you just have to accept that they are gaslighting you. If you are moving to Conway, just make sure its not to an area Conway Corp owns a monopoly over!”

“Edit: "The Conway City Council recently approved a memorandum of understanding with Forgelight Ventures on behalf of an unnamed Fortune 100 company that would see a new $1 billion, 300,000-square-foot data center built in southwest Conway on Lollie Road. Jamie Gates, executive director of Conway Development Corp., said the organization has been working on the project for about a year but is still very early in the process. “Over the course of the next year, we have a lot of work to do,” he said. “There will be a number of public milestones as we develop the necessary ordinances. There is also a lot of concurrent planning and design with regard to both the site and utilities that will take place.” According to the memorandum, Conway Corp. and the company will work together to ensure necessary water, wastewater, sewer, fiber optics, medium-voltage power capacity and other infrastructure for the project. Conway Corp. will provide an initial 13.8 kilovolts of medium-voltage service to the site and expand to 10 megawatts of service. Conway Corp. will build a pump station and pipeline from the Tupelo Bayou Wastewater Treatment Plant to the site to supply noncontact cooling water. Co”

“Customer service was alright but not being notified about abnormal utility usage would have been nice to know before getting a nearly $2k bill that I was able to negotiate half off with. At least the internet service is pretty decent.”

“I love that all my utilities are on one bill but the internet is THE WORST!!!! It cuts out randomly for no reason. Forcing you to restart your router at least once a day and sometimes twice. I thought AT&T was bad……I'd rather pull my hair out, strand by strand, than deal with ConwayCorp internet. I’m not exaggerating when I say it will make you lose you lose your mind. ConwayCorp is NOT worth it.”

Vallie Smith

“I’m supposed to have 1 gig speeds but not even receiving 100mb speed. Internet goes out constantly. Raised my speed and bill but internet is still horrible.”

Kevin Foster

“This company has the worst outages/maintenance schedule for their Internet service. At least once a week during the workday, the Internet will go down for anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. This is incredibly disruptive to anyone who works from home and has to be in time-sensitive conference calls and is an affront to the modern workforce. To make matters worse, they are basically unreachable by phone. Any time you call, get ready to wait for over an hour on hold despite being in a single digit queue.”

Kyle Denne

“My toilet was (unbeknownst to me) running continuously for a week due to faulty parts. My apartment came out and fixed it after conway corp called me to let me know thousands of gallons of water was being used per day. They only adjusted it off my bill by half…. so now i’m stuck paying an extremely large bill that I can’t afford. I feel like they did not do enough to make me aware of the issue before it had racked up my bill. Buyer beware….. Edit to respond to their comment: They called me during work hours and didn’t call again until a week later. If someone doesn’t answer have you all heard of email or text message? More effort should have been made. The courtesy crap is why this company is clearly ethically bankrupt. An ethical business would do their utmost to let their customer know their cost of services is increasing exponentially for WHATEVER reason & if there were any other options in conway trust me you would go out of business”

“Last night, after the terrific storm, I was without internet. I tried to fix the situation until I realized it was my service. It was after 9 PM when I decided to call Conway Corp just in case there was actual Customer Service. To my surprise, an employee actually answered the phone immediately. She informed me there was a problem and they were working on it. I was amazed! She, herself, had no electricity, but she was there to help customers. Having spent 2 days trying to speak with someone at a nationwide warranty company without success, I was really impressed! This is a 2nd review: I am so impressed with Conway Corp! I called yesterday to report the street light on my property is out. I expected it would at least take weeks for someone to come check it. They came today and fixed it. Such quick service! Amazing!”

“So I moved to a new Apartment complex about 6 months ago, my old one had At&t fiber and everything worked amazingly. This new apartment only has Conway Corp as an isp and credit will be given where it is due it worked great for the first 3 months. Shortly after that my wifi went down and would not come back up, a technician was sent and the modem was replaced, and after that everything was good for a week. After that the service became unreliable and crashes a few time a day most days, it seems erratic and i have called numerous times to fix this issue and they fix it for a day or so then it starts all over again. To new customers if you’re looking for an isp choose AT&T over conway corp, the customer service will be better at CC but at AT&T the service actually works uninterrupted 24/7 unless an outage occurs. If i had to compare conway corps service to another isp it would probably be windstream in terms of reliability. Hoping fiber gets ran to my apartment complex soon”

“While I love that my energy bill is significantly lower than the previous services I received from another popular company, the internet is a completely different story. I have yet to have consistent and reliable internet service. I work from home and constantly experience intermittent outages throughout the day, and they get worse in the evening. I have had them for 5 months and I’ve called several times and had technicians come out and they say they fix it but still more issues. They tried to say it’s bc of my gateway but I use the exact same gateway they rent out to their customers, and actually I was told is the better one that they are starting to switch over to. I have gotten the firmware updated and had troubleshooting done with the company that makes the gateway. I’m tired of paying for awful service and may end up switching but u just liked the idea of having one bill for the 2 services I use from. I don’t think I could honestly recommend CC as an ISP. Hate to say it but I can’t.”
