Energy Defense Systems

Energy Defense Systems runs a family-owned solar operation out of Fort Worth that covers the broader Dallas-Fort Worth area. They handle grid-tied installs, off-grid setups, service and maintenance calls, commercial and industrial jobs, and cleaning projects. Their main line of work centers on detach and reset packages that go along with roof replacements. Customers reach them at the listed phone number and fill out a simple form on the site to get a quote without dealing with extra sales staff.

Homeowners and roofing contractors call them after hail storms when panels are damaged or when a roof needs to be replaced. Ethan shows up to pull the panels, works with insurance adjusters using photos and readings, then puts everything back once the roofers finish. Crews also clean panels, fix inverters that stop reporting, and get systems running again. Reviewers note the work stays clean, finishes on schedule, and includes extra steps like spotting dead panels that were not part of the original request.

The company stays responsive on the phone and in the field. Ethan coordinates schedules with multiple roofing crews at once and returns after the job to handle internet hookups or small fixes. They operate across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and take on both residential detach-and-reset work and larger commercial cleaning projects. Reviewers mention fair bids that beat other numbers and a willingness to match competitor pricing on combined solar and roof packages.

Google shows a 5-star rating across 103 reviews. The same points come up again and again: panels removed and reinstalled without damage, sites left clean, quick answers from Ethan, and extra maintenance or cleaning done at no extra charge.

“Every since Titan Solar went bankrupt, we have been looking for someone to help us out with maintenence, upkeep, repairs of our solar panels. We have found them. After the hail storm took out our roof, we needed to get it replaced. We'll, these guys came in first, to take off the panels, and then put them back on after the roofers were done. They went above and beyond, not only did they do the job right, they found out 2 of my panels were not working ,fixed that and cleaned all the panels to optimize their use. They didn't have to do any of that. But they did. The will be my company for any solar needs I need from this day forward. Super professional and didn't stop, until the job was done right. I highly recommend them from any of your solar needs. Thanks. Look at the before and after for your proof.”

“I just bought a house and it had solar panels on it. Apparently the company who installed them was no longer in business and a lot of warranties can't be applied and i had to pay out of pocket. After calling so many solar companies, the one who responded and didn't try to sales pitch me, upsell me or ghost me was the team of Enlighten Energy Solutions. I thank them because they helped me solve a problem that could have turned out to be really expensive but they were very affordable and cared about my issue and treated me well. Call them, they are great!”

“Enlighten got us into a great system at a cash price. He was about 40–50% less than one of his competitors and his competitor was at a very fair price. I was very happy with how everything turned out. We basically reduced our electricity cost to nothing and our solar bill is 50 bucks a month. WOULD recommend.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Energy Defense Systems. From start to finish, the entire process was professional, transparent, and incredibly well-executed. The team was knowledgeable, punctual, and clearly takes pride in their work. The installation itself was clean, efficient, and done with great attention to detail. They took the time to explain everything, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable and informed every step of the way. It’s rare to find a company that combines technical expertise with great customer service, but Energy Defense Systems absolutely delivers. What stood out most was their commitment to doing things the right way — no shortcuts, no pressure, just honest work and solid communication. The system looks great, performs exactly as promised, and the install exceeded my expectations. If you’re considering solar and want a company you can genuinely trust, Energy Defense Systems is the one. I would recommend them to family, friends, and anyone looking to make the switch to solar without stress or surprises. Five stars isn’t enough. Highly recommended”

“Ethan was great. We had to have the panels removed and replaced due to a new roof, which he handled. He even cleaned the panels before replacing them. As a certified SolarEdge tech, he was aware of the specifics of the hardware, which can not be overstated as important. I would highly recommend.”
