“All I can say is that working with Freedom Solar has been one of the best experiences in any home improvement home investment project that I’ve had in 30 years. From my client advisor Brandon Edgley to my project manager, John Allison, I had 100% communication at each step. I had quick follow ups when I had questions. “Update: The response said someone would be reaching out to discuss my particular situation a six weeks ago. I have not heard from anyone at this company since then to discuss this situation. BEWARE!!!! When we purchased our system from Freedom Solar, we were assured the process would be simple and that one of the biggest advantages of working with them was having everything handled under one roof — sales, service, support, warranty work, and ongoing system management. We were also strongly encouraged to go with SunPower because it was presented as one of the most reputable and stable companies in the industry. Unfortunately, SunPower has now gone out of business, and many customers have been left dealing with the consequences. In just four years, I am now facing my fourth panel replacement. Each experience has involved significant follow-up on my end, long wait times, and ongoing frustration just to get warranty service completed. This latest issue has been especially disappointing. “Three years after our $80,000 investment with Freedom Solar, we’ve run into serious issues: - The manufacturer of our solar panels is out of business. - Our Tesla Powerwall has been nonfunctional for two months. When I reported the Powerwall issue, the response I received was simply an email directing me to follow up with Tesla directly, along with a link to Tesla’s certified installers. I understand that both the panel manufacturer going out of business and Tesla’s Powerwall problems are beyond Freedom Solar’s control. However, customer service and appreciation for our business should not waver. We trusted Freedom Solar as our installer and made a sizeable investment with them, so communication and support are critical. Today, I called for an update since my emails had gone unanswered. The customer service representative seemed distracted—she didn’t ask my name or why I was calling. Only after I asked if it was a good time to talk did she shift her focus. I did eventually get an update: Tesla agreed last week to replace our Powerwall, and Freedom Solar is waiting on supplies. While I appreciate finally getting this information, it would have been far better to receive proactiv”

“Overall install and setup process went great! Crew Solar Goats were the best! I’d give 5 stars if just based on their work. They did an amazing job in the 100+ degree Texas summer heat and got me fully installed with a 30 panel system in a single morning. They were able to fit all of the panels exactly in line with the initial design. All other coordination work and setup has been smooth! My only reservation thus far is the mySunPower app seems to not include individual panel level monitoring. I reached out to Freedom Solar customer care and they let me know that it will become available once my system is fully certified. But I’ve noted a lot of other customers with similar complaints on the App Store regarding the mySunPower app. So I am hoping that will resolve itself. But I do have some concerns there.”
