“Like James Hemenway, I called the Overhead Door Company as my top panel support beam had become compromised. I initially thought I needed that replaced. The OHDC stated "No!" Everything was compromised and I needed at a minimum to replace the entire top panel for a sum of $1,602.10 (OTD). "Trust but verify!" Called a couple other garage door companies who stated, "Of COURSE we can replace that top panel brace! Easy Peasy! $260 later, my garage door if fixed, with a THREE-YEAR WARRANTY!!! FTR, I "Googled" what an ENTIRE Garage door replacement would be and it would have been CHEAPER! I'll close with, "Caveat emptor!!!".”
“I called them out because the spring on the door came loose from the wall and lost tension. This was due to the previous install not actually being bolted to the frame of the garage. The tech started explaining how it needed to have everything replaced to be safe. I pointed out that everything was still intact and not damaged so he changed what needed to be fixed. I pointed out that the things he said were broken were fine so he started replacing the bolt and tensioning the spring. After starting he stopped and told me he needed to replace the cable drums. (A $5 part at home depot) he quoted $125 each and $500 in labor. Plus another $300 to tension the spring. I understand a small mark up on parts, but from 5 to 125 is extreme. I told him I couldn't pay $100 for the work so he said he won't fix anything and I owe him $185 for the diagnosis and the 2 $1 bolts he installed. I told him exactly what was wrong when he showed up. He didn't do a diagnosis. This is extortion, not a business. When I went to pay they didn't take card and only took cash or zelle. This isn't a real business. Stay away! Call anyone else but these people.”
“Florian Starks was on time, professional, polite, and informative. He was in and out in under 2 hours. I will definitely use OGD again and ask for Florian.”

“Followed several of my neighbors' lead and ordered a replacement garage door from Overhead Door of Denton County. Patrick came out, gave me an estimate, took half the fee as a deposit, and ordered the door. Patrick called several weeks later to tell me the door was going to be installed on 10/20/2026 and the installers would be here at 8:00am. 9:30 on 10/20/2026 and nobody showed up. Texted Patrick, no response. Called Patrick who said there was a mix-up and the door would be installed today, 10/21/2026. I asked what time, he said he would let me know beforehand. He never did. Today, 10/21/2026, 9:47am: Again....nobody has shown up. Called the main office number and spoke with someone who said he would have Patrick call me. When Patrick called, he acted surprised to hear from me. I asked when exactly this door was going to be installed. Patrick simply said, "Today". I said I needed him to be more specific; although I do work from home, I have meetings scheduled and can't just hang out waiting for someone to show up. At 9:51, I received a text message that said "Your garage door replacement will occur today in the late afternoon, we have two appointments before you. We will tes”
“The technician arrived quickly, at the time they told me he would be at my house. He checked my garage door and explained the problem; he was quick and did a clean job.”
