“I had previously written a wonderful review for this company. However, they have proven to be less than honest. I was informed that I would receive a check for $2500 to clear trees blocking my solar panels. They attempted to send a check that got lost. I was informed that they could not find any record of that check and that they did not have the money to pay that amount (after I had fully financed the project and they had received their money). Our solar panels are working well, although they do not cover the entirety of our electricity as promised. I have filed a small claim against the company and won. I am waiting for payment from Peter Maughan and PAIC solar.”
“See below to see the original post. Updated pics as well you can see how much down time the system has.... my experience started off well the largest part of my problems came when I installed a larger system wanting a fully self-sufficient system. I was sold a system that doesn't provide for what I need or what I want although I chocked this up to the sales guy not having the experience at the time to know that I needed two battery sets to be able to run my AC and all of my power needs for me to be completely off grid. that's only part of the issue that came with expanding. Add on that for months since April i believe until now I have been waiting on a part that the manufacturer (after having me troubleshoot my own system because they wouldn't come out and troubleshoot the system themselves) let me know that I was missing a "shedder" and that it needed to be installed to stop the consistent power outages 154 since march (that are between 5 and 9 secs equal to 16+ hours currently of down time see pics below.) that I get during the random parts of the day. On top of this my panels are not running at Peak efficiency. Why you ask? because every time it resets they have to build b”
“Stay away, the positive reviews here are absolutely fake. Do not do business with this company. If you still doubt me, just try to call them. You’ll not get an answer, and then as soon as you hang up you’ll get a call from a call center claiming to be PAIC. They finally showed up months after I made the deal at almost 5 PM, rushed through the entire installation to get it done before dark. These people installed solar panels on my house(in the ugliest possible way and also never bothered showing me how to access the monitoring app) and spent three months screwing up the paperwork required to connect them to my meter. Which conveniently put them over the 90 workmanship guarantee. After being connected to the meter they have never and I mean never in the almost two years since they were installed worked in any measurable way. I believe I have 24 panels so with the 100 dollar removal and 100 dollar replacement fees charged by this company it would cost almost 5000 dollars for them to come out and fix THEIR OWN MISTAKE. And based on the other reviews they would want to be paid well in advance so they could come “at their own convenience” months later. So in summary, I have now taken my”
“Unfortunately, I purchased my system from a bad sales representative. But, I have since began communicating with PAIC directly and everything has made a 180 turn. The reps are kind and listened to the issues I was experiencing, past tense because everything has since been taken care of. Ricky and crew came by for a final issue and promptly took care of it. During this visit, a service rep was contacted for a post installation survey which covered everything from trash pickup to overall satisfaction. I look forward to saving on electricity and being more green while doing so. Review date 8/15/2023 This is a buyer beware notice. My panels had been working great until 1 panel went dark. With a 25 year warranty, I contacted PAIC to report the issue. To my surprise, I was informed that the panel would be replaced as per warranty but, I was responsible for $100 removal and $100 installation for a total of $200. This is not what I would call free replacement of a faulty panel. What if 2 panels went dark, would my bill be $400? Buyers please be aware, the sales person, your contract nor PAIC will tell you this information. I believe this to be poor business practice and will no longer be ”
“Stay away!! This company is very unethical. I highly recommend you reach out to your lender if anything fraudulent has happened to you while getting Solar with them with a loan. Any company that offers side services to be added onto your loan such as HVAC, turf, pergola, or anything that is relating to home improvement should be able to comply and give you those funds and not keep them. I worked with them one summer and I have gotten complaints from those homeowners that I stay in touch with. Premier Solar won’t answer my calls, that includes Anita the owner’s wife- Travis Jones also changed his number****”
“Title: Exceptional Solar Panels! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently installed solar panels on my rooftop, and I couldn't be happier with the results. These panels have exceeded my expectations in every way. The installation process was smooth and hassle-free, thanks to the professional team from PAIC. They were knowledgeable, efficient, and took care of every detail. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail during the installation, ensuring optimal placement for maximum energy generation. Since the installation, I've seen a significant reduction in my energy bills. Saving money is a wonderful feeling. Thank you, PAIC, for providing a product that truly delivers on its promises!🌞🔌💪”
“Paic solar is awful. Do not recommend. People have been at my house four times to install the solar panels, something that should have only taken one time to do correctly. They have had to redo work multiple times now. The soar panels have been up for two months now and they still aren't working and haven't been inspected. I now have to pay my normal electric bill and the loan for the panels. Completely unacceptable. Do not go with PAIC. Edit 12/21: PAIC did reimburse me for the loan payments I have made after I called them about it last week. They said that I will have to continue calling them every month to have the reimbursement processed until the solar panels are actually working. The comment from PAIC below is the very first I'm hearing anything about a new time line. The delays should have been communicated from the beginning and I shouldn't have to read this kind of information on a public comment that I made. Communication is obviously terrible. Edit 01/23/23: I still don't have a scheduled inspection. Edit 01/26/23: My final inspection happened yesterday and they finally turned my solar panels on. It took about six months and was initially told they would be installed ”
“A sale rep from PAIC overheard my name with the city (as you have to ask permission for solar), and showed up at my door. I paid upfront for all my solar panels and battery (Nov/23). They installed a dead Enphase battery and are supposed to replace it and the keep sloughing me off. Enphase is waiting to ship the battery but have not received the money from PAIC. I call once a week to PAIC and we are “high priority” for them to send Enphase the money for the battery. ITS ALMOST SEPT, and we still haven’t received our battery. I’m surprised PAIC is in business still.”
“The guys were fast to come and install the panels, but 3 months later, my panels still are not online. They are not producing. I have reached out to Jaqueline on numerous occasions just to be told that they will come out and fix the issue. Now I'm stuck with 2 bills and PAIC can't get a technician to come fix the issues. I've been told they would be out to my home at least 8 times now and still nobody has came.”
“We have been trying to have this company relocate our panels to our new home. However, this company seem to be incompetent when it comes to doing business. I have trying to get a contract and a schedule date and is like pulling teeth. Their employees do not know anything, their supervisor is always in a meeting and the only response I seem to get is “we’ll follow up and give a call back”. Thus far no follow up nor a call back. The reason I did business with PAIC is because it was a referral from VIVINT. Do not do business with VIVINT or PAIC Solar. This is a response to the Owner: I did received invoice but there is not detail as to what the scope of work will be. I have asked for a detail invoice since the total is 10k. But I have yet to received any feed back.”
“I'm not sure how solar panels work, but after a year. It isn't all they claim to be. The company did well on one side, but we seem to have troubles with the panels from the get go. First it took months to get them going. They sent 3 -4 technicians till they finally got them going. They been working for some time, but everytime there is a power outage the panels go out and if you forget to check them you have a big bill. Well, recently we had another storm and the panels never came on. So, we called a technician and he volunteered get them going . He claims it was the server, so he said he had to order a part. I had to pay a $300 bill. Plus $150 for tech to come and check, plus the solar panel payment of $500 ....shake my head!!!! Then this month the bill is $380......Do the math!!! And they claim Solar means savings...no bill, just credits....NOT LIKELY!!”
“I believe every one start review on Google. I am actually surprised there are not more. They are very difficult to get ahold of and never call back when they say. The connection of the equipment is now 3 months late and counting. The first inspection was a disaster with over 17 faults and they apparently have zero plan or timetable to fix them. If they do have a plan or timetable to get them fixed I wouldn't know since their customer service is so bad. If you have any choice in choosing who installs your solar do not go with PAIC. I am fair and reasonable and will update my review if they address my concerns. I hope they check their google reviews more than their voice mails. PAIC....give me a call, you have my phone number it is on one of the 5 voice mails I have left without a call back.”
“Horrible customer service!!!! They do not keep true to their word. We were promised certain things during our contract signing and they refuse to give us a clear answer as to when they will be accomplished. We keep getting the run around for months on end now. I have called, emailed and texted with no progress. At this point they are avoiding us. Please, please, please stay away from them, don't get scammed out of your hard earned money. On top of that we found out they were doing installs without the proper permits. Putting us at liability. They will promise you so many things but not follow through. At this point we will be looking at our legal options.”
“I got my panels. In the beginning wasn't sure about them but now I see the benefits. PAIC installed really fast, I got everything working in 5 weeks I was told that takes long is the permit from the City besides that all very fast. Customer service answered all my questions and walk me throught once I was able to use my system.”
“The bell rang from my front door and Daniel introduced himself representing PAIC. At first I was not interested in SP but when we shook hands I noticed he was wearing something on his wrist and I invited him into my home. From the first day he explained in detail what and how the solar panel system works and how much I would be saving over time. After I agreed to proceed with the purchase his team came and did an outstanding job with the exception of a minor incident. Daniel immediately acknowledge the mistake, owned it and took that hit for his team and Daniel himself repaired the issue. Not only does he take the initiative for his clients to be appeased, but when I saw he also accepts responsibility for his crewmembers I knew I made the correct choice by going with PAIC.”
“We are completely satisfied with the services that have been provided to us by PAIC Solar!! From the installation of our Solar panels on our home from Jaime and his crew! To the upgrade of our electrical system from the top notch electrical specialist Enrique! Doing business with PAIC has been a great experience! From the sales team “Devon” to the installation teams that have been in our home we will definitely recommend to all our friends and family! Thank you again PAIC!”
“Sorry to say this but it’s the worst company I have dealt in my whole life. It took them over 6 months to install while inspections failed 5 times. Worst of all, city inspector laughed and said, and I quote, “ send someone who knows what they are doing.” They had wired the box backwards. It’s been 8 months now into to it, and only 3 out of 22 panels are producing while the rest are offline and not showing any energy produced. I have called multiple times to send someone over to inspect and fix but I never get anywhere, no call back no nothing. Forgot to mention that they missed their deadline per what the contract states, psh had to even lend them my tools!!!! Anyway, I’m still running on 3 panels and huge electric bill coming my way :(”
“This is a horrible company. They do not provide licensed electricians for their installs which must be a journeyman or master in the state of Texas and not an apprentice. They botched my first install and had to redo. They have cost me thousands of dollars from missing work to babysit them. Whatever anyone tells you, DO NOT HIRE an out of town contractor. It will take forever for them to come back. I have been dealing with them for 6 months and still do not have a final inspection.”
“Vivint+Paic=liars and thieves. A miserable experience all around because of lies. If either of these two companies show up on your doorstep, have them remove themselves promptly. Say they will take care of problems, lies! Roof leaks and still have an electric bill. Took 10 months to get turned on while paying two bills, still paying 2 bills. Call them to tell them about issues, get told there is a hefty consulting fee for checking their own work! I wonder what they will find? Repeat: “we will charge a consultant fee to check out work and tell you it’s fine”. It’s not fine. I would possibly have been better prepared if they told the truth the first time they showed up. Instead, once you’re locked in they don’t care if you know they are lieing.”
“We have been trying to contact the company for several weeks. After the install of our solar panels, we've had constant issues with the microinverters and breakers, significantly impacting our production. In addition, a couple of weeks after the install we had a few large rainstorms and discovered we now have two leaks in our roof. We have called several times for them to come out and fix it. Every time we call in they say that they will pass it onto the people who schedule appointments and that they will call us, but we do not get called. We have called and emailed repeatedly times about this issue and we receive the same answer of "we'll contact you to arrange for a team to come out", but it never happens. I am understanding of the leak if they would just send someone out to fix it but we have heard nothing. I have also requested to speak to a manager when I have called in and was told that was not how things run and that all they can do is call the person in charge of scheduling. I asked for their number and was told no to that as well. Sketchy business practices - will be reporting to BBB.”
