Reviewers describe a range of solar jobs from initial signups at stores to full system installs. One customer worked with Alex through the loan details and system walkthrough, noting clear step-by-step guidance on how the setup functions. Others ran into delays where promised install dates slipped past energy contract expirations, or systems designed from incorrect utility bills that left them paying both the company monthly fee and the original provider. Some mentioned completing paperwork quickly only to face extended waits without clear updates on timelines.

Work practices center on sales outreach and support follow-up. Customers report repeated calls and texts after brief encounters at locations like Home Depot or Costco, even when they stated no interest upfront. Support lines have involved requests for additional bill copies followed by limited callbacks, with some noting blocks on social media channels after raising billing or design mismatches. Service covers the local Texas region with mentions of phone numbers like the 833 line for quotes.

The record includes a Google rating of 2.3 from 7 reviews, where topics often return to sales contacts and handling of installation or billing questions. DIRT Score 0.8 from 7 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

“I was provided wrong information multiple time. If you didn’t have an estimate time then tell me. I was provided multiple dates on when my system was supposed to be installed. The issue I had was my energy contract was due to expired. After talking with my sale consultant about my concern he advised it’ll be done before or soon after my current energy contract was up. I understood and accepted the fact the process was going to extend a little over my contact expiration date, however; I was under the impression it would have been a limited time. In May, I agreed to my proposal, since then I have completed all required tasks immediately. Then on June 7th I was told my install would have been done in the next two weeks. Two weeks later I asked once again and was given July 6th. All that being said, my electricity contract ended placing me in a month to month. With rate at the rate there at now, it has ended up becoming a burden on us. With SunRun company being partnered with Costco, I filed a complaint with their Customer Service department. Costco advised they expedited my claim informing SunRun to provided me with a more realistic time frame. I never heard back from SunRun regardi”

“Would have given a negative rating if there is something like that. I saw their rep at home depot, hooked me up with their agent, they used the wrong bill to design my panel. Last month, I paid $80 to energy company plus sunrun monthly bill. I called, spoke to very rude support, they needed my one year bill which I provided. They blocked me on Facebook, I contacted them on Twitter, all they do is we will reach out to you. It's almost a year I have been trying to get work it out. It's of no use using SUNRUN because, adding my bills together is more that just using any any energy company. I would advise, DO NOT USE SUNRUN!!!! DO NOT USE SUNRUN!!!! DO NOT USE SUNRUN!!!! (Because you cannot cancel their contract without a legal representation(that's what their manager said)”

“Saw their staff at Home Depot, was stopped by them. Upon leaving my info, the next page said “by agreeing, you authorize to….” I said I don’t agree, and left the Home Depot on Broadway St. Pearland. One day later they would phone bomb me 10 times in two days with their 833-223- phone number. I did not agree to let you guys call me. I did not press the agree button. Stop calling me.”

“Alex, dealt with us for the solar process, showed us how everything works, and the loan process! He was VERY polite, friendly, helpful! He was the most honest person too, he laid everything out for us. Step by step! Thank you, Alex!”

“Talked briefly when exiting Costco, and instructed them not to bother me, yet they persist in texting and calling. STAY CLEAR of this scam.”
