U.S. Solar Contractors

U.S. Solar Contractors handles solar installation along with repair work battery backup and system maintenance from their base in the North Charleston area. The outfit started by fixing broken solar systems that other companies left behind and they continue to focus on sorting out poor installs and getting equipment running again. Their services cover troubleshooting upgrades and full setups with electrical work tied in where needed across the Charleston region and spots like Mount Pleasant Savannah Atlanta and a few cities farther out in Florida and Georgia. The crew works with both new systems and older ones that need attention after years of sitting unused.

Customers bring them in for systems that quit after a roof job or bad reinstall where wiring got tangled parts went missing and electrical work looked unsafe. Techs such as Jared and Teddy trace the problems and put things back in order while teams with Canon James and Brae handle panel fixes and added electrical outlets that lost power right before events. Reviews note cases where the company skipped extra sales pitches and instead found the real cause then delivered a fix that held up with all parts lined up to match existing equipment. Installs often include walking through app setup and checking every connection so the owner knows how the system runs.

They answer calls fast and keep in touch from the first contact through the end of the job with crews showing up on time even in heavy summer heat and staying until the work finishes late. Pricing lands fair compared to other electricians and solar outfits and the teams keep tools stacked neat wires secured and the property clear of scraps. Work covers the listed service areas with early starts and long days when conditions demand it and owners mention the crews explain each step without rushing.

Google reviews sit at five stars from forty five entries with repeated notes on the knowledge of the crew and the clean professional results on both repairs and new installs. Teddy stands out across many accounts for staying hands on and making sure everything lines up right while others highlight the diligence on root cause checks and long term fixes. “Hands down the BEST and most knowledgable solar installers in the Lowcountry! We have a 30 panel system that sat unused on a vacant house for two years that was fully working before the owners passed away. In having the roof redone, we paid another "solar company" to remove and replace the system. Upon its reinstallation, nothing worked. The wiring was a mess, parts were missing, and some real rag-tag electrical work was done that would have burnt down the house. That's when we called in Jared and Teddy to assess the problem(s). Their persistence, diligence, and honesty along every step of the way was absolutely unmatched; communication, knowledge of both electronics and SolarEdge software, legal matters around solar installations gone bad, insurance claims...if it's an issue dealing with solar, they know how to handle it! Our solar problems were definitely atypical, and left everyone speechless at times, but Teddy and Jared were incredibly thorough in their attention to detail and attempts to solve every single problem successfully. I cannot recommend US Solar enough to anyone with existing solar panels or thinking about having a system installed. Do it right, and do it once: hire”

“Teddy and Canon were amazing. Our outdoor outlets lost power right before we were hosting a get together to watch football with a new projector we just got. Teddy and Canon came out immediately went above and beyond to fix these and additional electrical issues at our house for a great price compared to the previous electricians we have used. Their quality of work is amazing! Highly recommend!!”

“Exceptional service, quick to call back, and results speak for themselves. US Solar Contractors identified the issues with my solar panels and presented me with a fair and solid solution. Their team was hardworking and diligent. So appreciated!”

“Working with U.S. Solar couldn’t have been more smooth! Over communicated from the initial call through our repairs. Fair pricing and the crew was friendly. I won’t work with any other solar company.”

“US SOLAR requested I do a review. I do so with pleasure as this company, is about the best contractor I have ever worked with. From discussing with the Sales Director to engaging with the technical staff I experienced nothing but pure knowledge, dedication and professionalism. The main issue I have with review is that it only allows for five stars, when this team deserve twenty five. The installation is nothing short of spectacular with all components aligned and matching the original equipment, such that it looks like it was always there. The team were working in the worst summer heat and conditions but started early every day and worked through the days and into the evening hours. Every team member I engaged with was knowledgeable, polite and always had a smile to share. Thus company is a solid gem and pretty hard to find. I truly value and appreciate their dedication and professionalism.”

“highly recommend this company if you need troubleshooting, repairs, or upgrades for your solar PV system. What really stood out was that they don’t operate with a “quick sale” mindset. Instead of trying to sell unnecessary equipment, they focus on finding the actual root cause of the problem and delivering a reliable, long-term solution. Teddy, James, and Brae were exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain everything they found. Their troubleshooting skills were impressive, and the quality of their repair work gave me a lot of confidence in my system again. It’s refreshing to find a company that genuinely prioritizes expertise, honesty, and doing the job right the first time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing solar PV service or expansion / installation.”

“What impressed me most was how organized the crew stayed throughout the project. Tools were kept neatly stacked, wires were secured properly, and nothing was left scattered around the property. After installation, they walked me through the app setup slowly until I fully understood how to use it.”
