About

Prime SLR handles solar work out of Richardson, Texas. Mustafa Joulani runs the company and oversees photovoltaic system installs that include panel mounting on roofs, electrical tie-ins, battery backups and generator connections. They take on jobs such as 13 kW and 10 kW arrays plus metal-roof placements where crews run conduit and connect components to cut household electric use. The address on file is 508 N Bowser Rd.

Homeowners report quick panel mounting on difficult roofs followed by electrical crews finishing the hookup so the system goes live and lowers bills. Some note service visits by technician Nour who handled roof leaks tied to panels within two days and fixed the spots. Others describe installs that included generators for backup power. On the flip side, several customers faced half their panels going dark with no repair date because the company has only one technician statewide. Reviews also cover long waits for batteries after the panels were up, failed city inspections, and systems left offline for months.

Work happens on the customer’s schedule when possible, with some crews finishing the physical install in a single day and cleaning up afterward. Response to service calls can reach 48 hours in certain cases, yet many report unanswered calls, texts and emails stretching over months, plus repeated excuses about back-ordered parts or staff absences. Service reaches nearby spots such as Lewisville where inspectors must sign off before activation. Post-install steps like permitting and battery add-ons often drag on without updates from the owner.

Google shows a 4.1 rating though with zero reviews counted. Recurring comments cover fast panel work by installers alongside repeated complaints about defective contracts missing required Texas notices, months-long delays before systems activate, ignored follow-up requests and poor communication after the sale.

“I hired Prime Solar Inc. (principal Mustafa Joulani, also known as Mohammad Jolani) under a Photovoltaic Installation Agreement dated August 21, 2023 for a 13.12 kW system. The contract was defective. It omitted multiple mandatory Texas residential construction disclosures and notices, including the “Know Your Rights” warning, the three-day right-to-cancel notice and Notice of Cancellation form, Residential Construction Liability Act notices, the required list of subcontractors and material suppliers, the Residential Disclosure Statement, and required DTPA notices. The contract is therefore defective and unenforceable under Texas law. The system was installed on or about August 26, 2023 and never performed as contracted. Problems included improper placement and wiring of the consumption current transformers (CTs), a missing modem for Enphase monitoring, gateway measurement errors, production well below the contracted 13.12 kW capacity, and improper roof mounting that damaged the roof and caused water intrusion into the home. I gave Prime Solar and Mr. Joulani repeated written notice of these defects beginning August 31, 2023 through November 2023 by email and text. Formal breach”

“I was satisfied with this company until half of my solar panels suddenly stopped working, for no reason at all. I have two sets of panels and one of them works just fine so it does not make sense why the other went down. When I contacted Prime Solar to schedule a repair, I was told that they have ONLY ONE TECHNICIAN in the whole state of Texas and that he was out due to a family matter and there is no ETA on when the scheduling will take place. So now we are in the heat of summer and I am going to be stuck paying hundreds of dollars for a solar loan bill as well as my electric bill. My panels have been down since June 23, I was notified via email which went to spam so I was not aware until I checked the Enlighten app on July 2nd, I called to report the issue and that's when I was referred to Prime Solar. So now, It's been 10 days since I have contacted Prime Solar for an appointment to repair my panels and I have not received any information on when it will be scheduled. I decided to put this review out here not because I am inpatient but because they ONLY HAVE ONE TECHNICIAN to repair the panels of Texans and that is completely unacceptable. So hopefully I will hear something from”

“Prime SLR is one of the most deceitful and predatory companies I’ve ever seen. They straight-up LIED to this family — promised to pay off their first solar contract, acted like they were “here to help,” and then turned around and slammed them with a brand-new contract behind their backs. Because of their scam tactics, this family ended up with a lien on their home and is now facing foreclosure. Who does that to people? It’s disgusting. Prime SLR preys on families who trust them, and they don’t care whose life they ruin as long as they get a sale. If this is how they do business, they should be ashamed and investigated. Avoid this company like the plague. They are predators, not professionals.”

“Extremely Dissapointed - Unfulfilled Promises and Poor Communication I had high hopes when I signed with Prime Solar. The concept amd promises made during the sales process were compelling. Unfortunately, the experience has been nothing but disappointing. My solar panels were installed over five months ago, and I'm still waiting on the batteries that were promised. The energy offset I was assured of has not materialized, and I'm currently sending energy back to the grid without receiving credit, as I cannot make necessary adjustments until the batteries are installed. What's worse is the lack of customer service. Calls and emails have gone unanswered. I reached out directly to the owner, Mustafa, and am still awaiting a response. If I don't here back soon, I will be forced to shut down the installed system and pursue legal action to dissolve the contract. I've already consulted with a Dallas-based attorney who specializes in solar contract disputes. This could have been a great experience, but the lack of follow-through and communication has made it incredibly frustrating.”

“Horrible communication, signed a contract with them back in November 2024 for a 10kw system with a backup battery. After multiple excuses I was finally able to get my system installed in January. I was told the backup batteries were in back order and wouldn’t be able to get them in until April. Here we are at the end of July 2025 and the company doesn’t respond back to me. The owner Mustafa has just now ignored all my calls, texts and emails. His last commutation last month stated they received the batteries and only needed to schedule the install and yet still no communication or install done. Horrible company and communication stay away from them. Will now need to look and find legal ways to get them to finish the job they agreed to do.”

“I am 100% satisfied with my solar system. My metal roof is very high and posed several challenges for the installers. They graciously accepted the challenge and quickly installed the panels, followed by their electrical personnel whom quickly tied into my components and got me on line cutting my electric bill out. They also installed me a generator with the system that works like a charm. Making sure I am never without electricity again. Thanks guys.”

“Update: They have been attentive and helpful with my system after getting it operating correctly. I had an outage that they promptly scheduled maintenance without me notifying them. I’ll continue to update as time goes on. Original Review: They installed my unit in April. They shut it off in May, and it still isn’t running as of October. Apparently my house was not up to code for the power company even though I have had power there for years. They did not communicate why the panels were down. It took me many weeks of calling to be told why. At that point to was summer and 115° and I was unable to find an electrician to do the work. They quoted me $3,000 to fix it themselves, even though they should have fixed it when the unit was installed. I cannot recommend you use this company. Communication is poor and confusing. Please do not use this company.”

“Prime SLR installed my solar panel over a year ago, the installers provided excellent customer service, explained everything on the installation and answer all questions I had during the process. They were also very quick and clean up everything.”

Waldo Silva

“I used this company because relatives were happy with them. Once the panels were installed, the company dropped off the map. The panels were installed in August and did not go live until March of the following year, costing me $6,000 in federal funds. From that point on, all calls were ignored. All texts were ignored. When I reached a person, they were the rudest person I have ever spoken with on the phone. When they did answer, they always had an excuse, it was their anniversary or they were at a funeral. I understand that these events are important, and I do not want to intrude, but that does not excuse the years of not responding once he was back in the office. Please take my advice and run as fast and as far as you can from Prime Solar.”

“I will eventually post a full review about my entire experience with my Prime SLR but this review is specific to service that I received today from Nour, one of the service technicians. I called Prime SLR because my ceiling has multiple water spots and the roofing company (who came to check it out first) told me the water was getting in from the solar panels. Prime SLR sent a technician out within 48 hours of my call. Nour came and he was friendly, professional, and courteous. He told me that english wasn’t his first language but assured me that he understood the issue and would take care of it. I showed him where the water spots were in the ceiling and how to access the attic. He figured out the issue was my AC unit not the Solar panels…he even took pictures to show me where it was leaking. Rather than just leave it at that, he took the time to put silicone around the solar panel cords just to be sure. I used Google translate to ask him to please check my panels to ensure they were ok/still secure because the storm/tornado that came thru in May caused a lot of damage in our area. He gladly checked them for me. Nour was helpful and kind and even though we had a small language barr”

“Mustafa and his team installed my solar system and have been fantastic the whole way through. He has been responsive and thorough all three times I've talked to him. He even advised me on a battery back up system that would be great for my system. I appreciate him and his team.”

“7 months waiting for them to get this hooked up, had to report them to the FBI to get them to move on the completion. Here now, don`t really know if they know what they are doing the electrician does not speak English. If you aare having trouble with Prime solar just register a complaint at IC3.gov that is the web site to register a complaint with the FBI, I actually believe this is a major scam on us older folk and the finance company is in cahoots. I have been more than patient, here lately becoming more and more leery of what they are doing.”

“Prime Solar installed the panels very quickly, but the post installment process was terrible. We are 6 months and counting. After installment there must be a city inspection done. It took Prime SLR a month and a half to even schedule an appointment and that’s without me doing the heavy lifting. Mustafa would say “we have you scheduled,” but they didn’t even schedule it with the city so how am I scheduled? The 1st inspection failed due to the inspector coming 2 hours before scheduled time. The 2nd inspection didn’t even happen because the City of Lewisville doesn’t do inspections on Fridays after 12. The 3rd inspection failed due to Mustafa sending a regular employee to the inspection even though it was instructed that a Master Electrician was needed for the inspection to be done. The 4th inspection finally got a master electrician out but didn’t bring his tools with him, so he had to go buy a tool to get whatever needed to be fixed. Finally got the city inspection passed, but onto the next obstacle. We’re in November now (started in September) and need to get a new DG meter from TNMP. TNMP told PrimeSLR mid-November they needed pictures of the whole unit, not just the solar panels ”

“I am not paying you guys a dime for no cancelation nothing. All I wanted was, was a quote and not to sign contracts. I immediately called customer service after I had the rep guy leave my house [kicked out] and they directed me to a financial department where I could immediately cancel what I got conned into. I did this months ago. Do not email me about some bill i now have to pay. I mean it. Do not email or call me ever again.”
