“The firefly experience was excellent. Tim Mcgann was an fantastic representative and stayed involved throughout the process. The work was well done and the product is of a higher quality. The only pain points in the process came from my HOA and Dominion Energy, and Firefly was there the whole way to ensure that the process went smoothly. I would use firefly on my next house without a doubt. Between the higher quality panels and warranty, it is not the least expensive system you can buy, but I don't think you necessarily want the low bidder modifying your biggest asset.”

“If I could give zero stars, I would. We spent $6000 with Firefly to repair wiring damaged by a squirrel for our panels and install squirrel proof cages around all of our panels. Unfortunately, they neglected to finish installing the caging on one of our panels, leaving a 1.5 ft gap, so squirrels returned. We have emailed, called, and sent photos as they requested and we have gotten no satisfaction, no response, and no plan of action from the company other than they want to sell us batteries! Why would we ever use them to purchase more substandard work? Anyone considering solar, we recommend it but I cannot recommend this company due to failure to follow up on incomplete work/no satisfaction guaranteed. Also, if you are considering putting solar on your roof, make sure to install cages if there is a chance of access from squirrels on your roof.”

“Cameron came out to my property to provide initial perspective and estimate per my ideas. I found Cameron, although a nice guy, he seemed very matter of fact a little belligerent and combative in regards to my desire to eventually go off the grid and be completely independent from Duke. Then he tried telling me that the installation of a system would be from $75k to $200k! That’s insane! Who on earth would think it was fiscally prudent to install a solar system with battery banks that costs nearly what your home costs? How can Firefly justify this cost when the equipment is around $15k to 20k? Greenville is full of companies and contractors that take advantage of the naive and apparently wealthy population. I would not recommend this company!”

“Rarely do you find a contractor that does exactly what they say and do it well and on time. Firefly delivered big time. Literally from the first phone call. To follow up emails thru the build to completion. There's absolutely no other solar company I'd wanna deal with. Firefly earned my solar business. Great job !”

“My solar experience was without a doubt a great experience. My sales person Tim sat down and went over everything with me. I received constant emails informing me of where I was in the process. I received my proposed drawing of the panel placement but needed it changed because I couldn’t have any on the front of my home so they did that. On the day of installation the head of the installation crew realized I would receive better use with a few changes of panel placement in the rear. He showed me the new proposed placement which worked out fine. The installers did a great job. My sales person Tim came over to follow up with me after the install, showed me how to use the app, and has followed up with me a few times since to insure everything was working fine and to go over my electric bill to be sure I was benefiting from going solar. “What a frustrating experience... I selected Firefly to install a solar battery on my house as a backup generator with future plans to install solar panels when I get a new roof. I selected Firefly over competitors because they seemed like a top quality company. I paid thousands more to work with them. Once the promised project completion date passed and we were still in the first stages of the project timeline, I was left increasingly wondering if I was being scammed out of my money. It wasn't even a question of high or low quality, I was just wondering if this was even a legitimate company or not. Here are the reasons I was starting to think it was a scam. They supposedly have a portal where you can view your solar project, invoice, project stage, that kind of stuff. Not me. I couldn't see any projects or what I paid or anything like that... it's all just blank pages. I asked if they could fix it, they said yes they would, but never did. I was given a project timeline. Not a single timeline stage was ever met. After the permitting stage was going over the 2-4 week timeline, I inquired with Firefly but didn't get a response, so I called the city permitting office... and the permit ”

“This company installed a solar system and two Franklin batteries in my home. The Franklin batteries are newer and Blue Ridge electric, at the time, would not allow me to send them power for some return to my bill (they are allowing it now). Because of this, there was some difficulties sorting out how to run the system behind the meter Firefly customer service was amazing. Everytime I called they listened and responded until we worked all the bugs out. I am very happy with my system now. There will always be things to sort through with new tech. Firefly has the customer service attitude that I have rarely found in any contractor.”
