“We are very happy with the service we received from Live Oak Energy. The house next door burned down and our roof was damaged. Our solar panels are about 9 years old and had to be removed to we could replace the roof and then replace the solar panels. Cyrus is great to work with and very helpful. He came all the way to Tybee several times to bid the job, remove the panels, replace the panels when the new roof was installed, check the solar panels to be sure all was working well, and then install squirrel guards. We highly recommend him and Live Oak Energy. .”

“I was an orphaned solar panel owner from Freedom Forever. Talked with Live Oak after my Solar Edge inverter failed. They sent out Cyrus for the diagnosis and he determined it was indeed the inverter. New inverter was ordered and arrived within 3 weeks. Was contacted to set up the exchange. Inverter change-out took about an hour and I’m back up and running. Cyrus and Ray did a great job during this whole process. Appointment with Cyrus was made quickly for the diagnosis and the exchange. Everything went as smooth as possible and my solar was only down < 4 weeks with waiting for parts. “Our largest decision factor was meeting Cyrus and learning that while he owns the business, he also oversees the installations. We did not want to hire a crew that did not directly benefit from the job. We have a + million-dollar home, and we were not comfortable letting an unknown crew work on it. In today’s environment, that level of ownership matters. Cyrus was directly involved, present, and accountable for the work being done, which gave us confidence in the quality of the installation. Several companies we spoke with attempted to bundle 25-year insurance policies into their contracts, separate from the standard 10-year limited warranty. “When I finally noticed that my 13 panels were off line I blindly searched Google to find help. The original installer from “wild wrath days” of solar installations in 2021 was out of business. No surprise. I searched and called around and happily settled on LIVE OAK. Within a few days Cyrus was at my home accessing the situation. Seems a squirrel family had nested underneath the panels and chewed through the wires. Not a small problem. Cyrus scheduled me in for repairs which meant removal of each panel and a through clean out of nesting debris, replacing all the wiring, reattaching and connecting each panel and adding a Critter guard to stop future issues with wild life. It wasn’t cheap at $4562, but it resolved the issue, restarted the system and put me back online. Watching Cyrus single-handedly complete the job was impressive. He knows his craft well and throughly explained everything to me, including getting me online with Enphase Energy. If your solar system needs service, I highly recommend that you call LIVE OAK. Only two days after our installation we had a grid outage and the Franklin battery and the aGate took over and managed our energy needs perfectly. The transfer took only a few seconds.
