“I purchased a solar system through Space city solar in 10/22. Space city contracted True Texas solar to install my system. There electricians were confused on how to wire my system since I have 2 electrical panels. I had problems with my system in May of 2024. I called True texas to come and look at the system. They couldn't figure out what was causing the problem. After I paid my invoice in full. They would not return my calls or my emails. I am still having problems with they way they wired it. I would get other bids from different companies and chose them. I would not recommend True Texas Solar as my installing company. Go elsewhere.”

“It has been about 2 months since True Texas Solar installed my system. So far no issues and the solar production is better than I expected. I did a good amount of research on solar as well as calling various companies. There were several things that stood out with True Texas Solar. One being they took the time to come and look at the area and location. They listened to what I was looking for and were not pushy. Another thing is they came back with a couple of different solutions using different products. Most of the other companies only use 2 or 3 different products, but not True Texas Solar they will tailor the solution based on your needs and budget. “My solar system was installed by another company on 12.19.22 and was to produce 14,134 kWh in the first year but it only produced 9239 kWh – 65% of the warranted quantity. The original installer never mentioned adding “critter cages” to protect from squirrel, etc. damage; and I did lose one panel of 28 to squirrels in January 2024. I was in need to understand why my system was under producing at only 65% and also to protect my panels from the squirrels. I contacted several solar installers but found most were clueless while it became immediately obvious that True Texas Solar had expertise to evaluate my system and offer multiple options to resolve my issues including installing “critter cages” to protect the panels. True Texas Solar used their Aurora Solar software to determine my system as installed was only expected to produce 9981 kWh in the first year which was ~7% more than my actual production but well within reason and certainly a long way from my original installers contractual production. “I don’t often post on social media, especially when it comes to review of companies. However, due to our recent experience with True Texas Solar I want to give the company the highest recommendation. I recommend you consider True Texas Solar if you ever decide to purchase a solar panel and battery backup system. As background, since we moved to our neighborhood we have experienced four sustained power outages over the last two years. We have also experienced multiple brown outages which result in short outages and spikes. These brown outages and spikes can cause major damage to home appliances. We decided not to go down the portable gas generator option and large natural gas generators estimates were between $13,000-$15,000 for complete installation. For our circumstances we decided to go solar panels and backup as they protect against short outages and have daily return on investment. Solar and solar battery backup allows for the day-to-day return on investment, protection for brown outages, reduction of your electric bill, reduces the strain on the grid, and has positive environmental considerations. I also know from the industry that I work in that our electric grid is strained”
