Mayes Wood Flooring & Designs, Llc

Mayes Wood Flooring & Designs, Llc operates as a flooring store and contractor out of Beaumont, Texas at 2544 Calder Ave. The business handles tile work along with floor refinishing, wood floor installation, and related services. Reviewers mention staff members including Heather, Rick, and Scott who handle customer needs on site. The company maintains a claimed Google profile that lists it under multiple flooring categories.

Customers describe jobs involving recovery of scratched and badly sanded floors in new homes that turned out strong after the crew finished. Others brought in botched insurance repairs or living room floors that needed refinishing, with the work described as clean and on time in most cases. One reviewer noted an installer who caused discomfort and was asked not to return, though the company sent the same person back anyway. Positive accounts cover hardwood installation and refinishing jobs that left floors looking solid, with crews cleaning up after themselves and finishing faster than expected.

The crew tends to set its own schedule, which means homeowners should expect to adjust around their availability and make decisions quickly when materials come up. Reviewers note punctual arrivals in successful jobs, professional attitudes from most of the team, and prices that came in reasonable for the selections available. Service stays local to the Beaumont area, with no details given on exact hours beyond the standard business operations shown in the profile.

The business holds a 4.5 Google rating. Across the reviews, the main points that come up are solid results on wood floor work when the schedule lines up, knowledge from the named staff on installation and refinishing, and occasional friction around timing and crew assignments.

“Certain crafts are harder to find skilled workmanship than others, and Mayes is the real deal. Our new home had yellowed, scratched floors that, in places, had been badly sanded. Their crew came in and made these floors a showstopper. They are absolutely gorgeous, and Mayes was quick and professional. Highly recommend.”

“Guys did an amazing job recovering my botched floors. Will highly recommend. Professional behavior, attitudes and skills. Cleaned up behind themselves, were punctual and intentional.”

“I wouldn't hire Mayes to floor my dog house. They did an insurance repair job at my place. They showed up at my home whenever they wanted withouta call. They put stain all over my base boards, that I had to fix. One of the installers made me feel uncomfortable. So I asked the owner and the office to Not send this guy back to my house. They sent him back out anyway. The quality of the wood floor that they reinstalled is subpar compared to the floor they replaced. Find another floor company.”

“I hired these guys to do my living room floors on my new house they did a phenomenal job it was a very quick process the most painful part about it was swiping the card highly recommended to anybody who has hardwood floors that need to be refinished”
