“1/5 Stars — Predatory, Deceptive Practices & Insulting Customer Service Be incredibly careful with Dwyer Restoration Inc. They use confusing word games to hide massive fees and rely on predatory tactics. Over the phone, they promised a "free inspection." However, once the representative arrived, he refused to give me a repair estimate unless I agreed to a $750 fee. He was highly aggressive, trying to force his way into contacting my homeowners insurance immediately and pushing claim paperwork on me. When I stood my ground, denied the fee, and sent him away, the company called me back to backtrack. They claimed the $750+ fee "is only for people using homeowners insurance" and tried to argue that a "free inspection" doesn't mean a "free estimate." This is a textbook bait-and-switch designed to inflate prices the second insurance is involved. To make matters worse, the representative spoke to me in a deeply condescending and degrading manner. They arrogantly told me I would be "better off contacting a smaller handyman service on Angie's List" rather than a "big company like us," carrying an insulting tone as if I simply couldn't afford them. There is nothing professional or elite”

“I just got off the phone with my mom who spent at least 45 minutes raving about Alex and Damien. She had a flood at her house and her floors were ruined. During the repair process she had the worst luck and her HVAC developed a leak so the floor repairs couldn't proceed. Alex and Damien volunteered to come back on Saturday, their day off, once her HVAC was repaired. They put in a 10 hour day that day to help her. She's older and wheelchair bound and it was obvious to her that they really, really cared about her situation. We are so thankful for their excellent service. And the floors looks great! Thank you!”

“We hired Dwyer to do a full kitchen remodel after consulting with a number of local remodel and restoration companies. Their bid was comprehensive and detailed (almost a little overwhelming). They were quick to answer questions and turn the bid back around with adjustments. The trade workers were competent and always polite. There were a few bumps as I would have expected with any major project. Dwyer responded to each concern in a timely and fair manner. In the end we were very happy with the result and would be willing to use them again. Some details about the project: * removed a load-bearing column and replaced with a LVL span. This required adjusting plumbing, electrical and HVAC around the area, as well as working with the city and a structural engineer for approval. * replaced 4' fluorescent bulb lighting with recessed LEDs. * custom cabinets (amazing work on this!) and new counters. This included converting the kitchen island into a peninsula. * rebuild pantry with a slightly different footprint to better utilize space. The majority of the work was done over about 60 days, with touch-ups and adjustments going on about a month longer.”

We had no idea who to turn to and Dwyer Restoration was highly recommended and now I know why. Dan Dwyer spent many hours dealing with one adjuster after another since they were being so difficult. He always reassured me that he would be there to help. Finally his diligence and patience paid off and we got approval to start renovations. His team of employees and sub-contractors that were brought in were knowledgeable, respectful, on time but most of all trustworthy. Our project manager was exceptional. This was a second home and we were not there to monitor but he kept us informed of the progress, sent pictures and told us what to expect next. He always asked what I thought of the quality of work along the way. Making sure I was happy. He always told us when workers would be in the house too. “I highly recommend Dwyer Restoration! My husband and I had damage from the February storm and we called Dwyer. Even though they were extremely busy, due to the large number of people in the area that sustained damage, they were very quick to respond and to come out to our home. Jason was an incredible help to us in dealing with our insurance company - he helped us to negotiate the claim and navigate that process. We would not have been able to get all the repairs done properly without his assistance. Thomas managed the team that did our work and he was wonderful. He was great about communicating what was happening and when it would happen. He was always quick to respond to me and he made sure the work was all done properly. “Dan and his entire crew were amazing. There were some hiccups along the way (had to change project managers part way through which was out of anyone’s hands). Our new project manager Edward was awesome. The one issue we had was with the subcontractor painting company. Dwyer built us beautiful new cabinets and to this day the paint job is what I would call “satisfactory.” In the end it was quite clear these painters were only going to do enough for a satisfactory job and that is where we left it because we didn’t want to have them come back for a 9th (literally) time. Dan Dwyer and Edward pushed hard to get them to fix things even going as far as to sit here and supervise while they worked. In the end the painters were just lazy and you can’t really fix that. The lesson here is absolutely use Dwyer Restoration. They are prompt, kind, fair, hardworking people and we would use them again in a heartbeat. Their internal survey got an 8/10 overall because of these painters but I do believe deserve a 5 star rating on here because they deserve your business and will not do you wrong. The second lesson is DO NOT use Carnival Painting if you actually want a quality paint job.”
