SCI Construction & Roofing

SCI Construction & Roofing runs operations out of Cypress, TX, with Javier at the head of the company. They take on residential construction and roofing work that includes roof replacements, interior repairs from water damage, bathroom remodels with tile, sheetrock fixes, painting, and exhaust fan installations. The business also manages insurance claims and HOA approvals as part of these projects, with Eileen handling coordination and scheduling for many jobs. Their address sits at 12010 Woodworth Drive, and they cover areas around Cypress and greater Houston.

Homeowners describe roof jobs that required tarping ahead of rain, full replacements after derecho damage, and proof supplied to insurers that patching would not suffice. Other work covered kitchen and upstairs bedroom reconstruction from leaks, shower remodels that removed old tubs and counters for larger tiled showers with glass doors, plus fixes for leaks that prior crews missed and new flooring installations with everything put back in place. Javier and Eileen appear repeatedly in accounts of these projects, along with crews that completed the physical labor and follow-up cleanup.

Reviewers note that the company answered requests quickly, arrived for site visits when promised, and began work the next day on small jobs. They kept customers updated at each stage, showed up on schedule, worked through full days to finish projects, and returned to inspect results before leaving. Pricing matched the bids given, and they handled every step from material delivery to disposal of old materials while staying within the Cypress area.

The company carries a Google rating of 5 from 13 reviews, with frequent mentions of clear explanations, respectful crews, and solid outcomes on both roofing and interior tasks. DIRT Score 4 from 13 reviews on Finds.

“SCI Construction and Roofing completed a roof project for us and the process involved HOA approval and filing with insurance. The process was time consuming but SCI helped navigate this for us and even had our roof tarped at the problem areas when rain was anticipated and the work had not officially started. From Javier to Eileen to all the workers who completed the roof and the interior work resulting from water leaks and for the follow-up cleanup they did, we say THANK YOU! It was difficult to know exactly who to choose and this company was advertised in our church bulletin and we are happy we saw their ad and called. The response was prompt with Javier and the communication was excellent with Eileen keeping us up to date with the project details. SCI kept time commitments as promised and we appreciate them for this! SCI has completed the work and we are so happy with the new roof and interior work! The staff has attention to detail and we are using them for future projects!”

“I put out 4 requests for companies to come out and give me bids for a small project. SCI was the only one who actually showed up when they said they would, reviewed my request with onsite consultation, then gave me a bid that was a great price. They started the next day, completed by the afternoon and the price I paid was exactly what they said it out be. To top it all off the quality of the work was outstanding. Anything I need done around my house I know who I will call first and only call, SCI.”

“Professional and respectful! Two qualities that are rarely seen today. Javier and his crew stand behind their work and their commitment to excellence.”

“Had an emergency reconstruction job in my kitchen and upstairs bedroom due to a water leak. The entire SCI team was wonderful! They handled every step of the process and did a fantastic job. Eileen was super to work with and made my 20 year old kitchen like brand new! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“Had the opportunity to work with Eileen and her team on a shower remodel. She was great! Always kept me informed and the crew was polite and always on time. They all did a great job explaining the process all the way they to completion. Highly recommend!”

“SCI was recommended to me after I had extensive roof damage from the derechos that hit Houston in May of this yr. SCI went above & beyond to fight for me with the insurance company that recommended patching my roof. They provided the proof that my roof needed replacing & not patching. Everyone from the Owner Javier, office staff Eileen & the workmen were all very professional & responded to my questions/needs in a timely manner. My roof was replaced in one day. The job was expertly completed & the area was cleaned up when the job was completed. It was indeed a wonderful experience to work with SCI & I highly recommend them to anyone in need of having their roof repaired/replaced. Wish I could give them 10 ⭐️’s”

“The team came out to do a couple of repairs to my roof. They were on time, quick and efficient. I am so pleased that they could handle all on one day. They went the extra mile!”

“After reading reviews on Google we reached out to SCI to provide work in the interior of our 39 year old home. Javier's team provided excellent work with painting, sheetrock repair, caulking and providing a light/exhaust fan in master bathroom where 2 previous contractors could not find solution to install one. Javier came by several times to inspect work and ensure we were happy with the process. Once completed he made sure cleanup was done and inspected the work. We plan on using his services again on work that needs to be done on the exterior.”

“The crew found a leak that no one else could find. They explained everything involved and are actually at my home today making the repairs. Great job!”

“We are beyond satisfied with the roofing service provided by the company. These guys worked tirelessly from sun up to sun down to thoroughly complete the project. They provided the new supply delivery and disposal of the old. Upon completion, they also took the time to check for fallen nails, which I greatly appreciate because we have a dog at home. I will 100% recommend their services to any future clients.”

“The staff was very accommodating and thorough. Once the flooring was installed everything was put back in place. Very happy with final results. I would highly recommend SCI.”

“Used SCI for remediation work when a pipe broke in my house. They were responsive, knowledgeable, and great to work with. Highly recommend.”

“SCI Construction remodeled my master bathroom to allow a safe, smooth floor to enter rather than having to step over a ledge. The current smaller shower, corner tub with jets, double sink counter and tile floor were all removed and replaced with a large shower with beautiful tile and glass, and the bathroom was repainted. I cannot say enough nice things about Eileen Lopez, the project manager on the job, who was right there to help me pick out things, answer questions and scheduling the next phase. I was told my roof had sustained hail damage, and SCI also confirmed the same. Eileen helped me with the insurance claim and the HOA's Request for Home Improvement, in addition to staying on top of both projects so that they were timely completed.”
