Total Floor Care

Total Floor Care handles tile and stone floor work out of Lewisville, Texas. Mitch and Mary run the business as a husband and wife team and focus on restoration for brick, slate, limestone, marble, travertine, terrazzo, tile and grout. They strip old finishes, apply stain where needed, polish surfaces and seal floors and counters. The work covers both residential homes and situations where prior owners left floors in poor shape.

Customers describe Mitch and Mary restoring brick floors through stripping, staining and a glossy finish that brought back the original look. They have cleaned and renewed slate floors that showed heavy wear, hand scrubbed years of dirt from grout across large areas, and polished limestone and marble to remove damage from neglect. Reviewers also note repairs to cracks and holes in travertine along with restoration of terrazzo floors that were decades old.

Mitch and Mary start early each day, finish on the dates they set, and clean up before leaving the site. They keep homeowners informed during the job, stick to quoted prices even when extra steps come up, and turn down payment when they judge a floor too damaged to fully revive. The pair works long hours, stays respectful inside the home, and maintains a schedule that fills months ahead.

Reviewers give consistent marks for the visible change in floor appearance, the lack of dust or mess, and the straightforward communication from start to finish. DIRT Score 4.7 from reviews on Finds.

“Mitch & Mary are the best contractors I’ve ever hired into my home. I can’t say enough about the quality and detail that they put into their work. Our grout was dirty from years of use, and they hand scrubbed every inch of it to bring it back to life! Hard job for a large house:-). They’re prompt and worked hard the entire time they were here. To top it off, I obtained other quotes and they were the most reasonable price compared to the competitors. I will always use them to take care of my floors and countertop restorations!”

“Pictures speak a thousand words. Mitch and Mary did an amazing job restoring our limestone floor. They start early and on time and clean up before they leave every day. They are responsible and communicate with customer throughout the job. Very happy with the work and will definite recommend.”

“All I can say is WOW! We bought a brand new home and Mitch and Marie did an amazing job. There was a scheduling fiasco because my the builders decided to push the closing back. They were very understanding and thankfully we were able to get a new date scheduled. And we still got a fair price. I cannot say enough good things about Total Floor Care. Our floors looked SOOOO mich batter after they were done. I will recommend them to anyone.”

“Mitch and Mary did an incredible job with our travertine tiles in our big room. For the first time since forever, you can actually see the lights above reflecting in the tiles on the floor. They were clean, no dust anywhere, on time every day, and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended, but get on the list early - they are booked well in advance!”

“They hit every marking of what stellar service means. We moved into our first home in July & weren’t even remotely sure what to do with our new brick floors! After being told by other service providers that we were pretty much outta luck, we found Mitch and he was excited for the job and extremely reassuring. He worked with our schedule and was able to accommodate / complete the job while we were out of town. We got updates along the way and we were absolutely thrilled with the final result when we got home. We would recommend them to anyone!”

“Mitch and Mary Grace restored our terrazzo floor, today. The floor are 45 years old and it looks like it original finish. They also sealed our kitchen floor. The floors look amazing. They are a husband and wife team that does a great job and are very honest and hard working. Their work is outstanding. The company aims to please and take care of the customer. The cost was as quoted. They even did some extra things like sealing my kitchen counter without charging us. There was a small issue but professionals that they are they took care of it. I was impressed with their work.”

“I cannot say enough great things about Mitch and Marry. I knew my limestone floors were in great hands when we decided to use their service. They were extremely respectful, professional, and most importantly, honest. When Mitch realized that my floors have sustained too much damage to revive them to like-new condition, Mitch was frank in informing me of this, and did not charge me for the area they had cleaned!! Though I insisted on paying for their time at least, they refused. I do not think I have ever known a business made up of people THIS caring and honest. I totally, completely, and absolutely recommend Total Floor Care!! It was an honor meeting Mitch and Marry!”

“My experience working with Mitch and Mary was nothing less than perfect. The process began with a phone call, followed by a quote the very next day. Mitch walked through my property and we discussed their process of cleaning and renewing travertine in detail. Their pricing was very reasonable for the process they provide and our floors turned out great! What really impressed me was the extent of the additional work they added in, still honoring their original quote. I would recommend this company hands down to anyone needing to bring life back to their flooring.”

“The transformation from before and after is remarkable. Our floors look better than expected. Our floors look even better than they did when they were new and we first moved in. Well worth the price and the wait to get them. Wish we had done this years ago. The difference is amazing. Mitch & Mary Schneider did a wonderful job on our 3 different colors of travertine, slate and wood combination floors (very intricate). The carefully and painstakingly taped, prepped and readied each room. They were faster and more efficient than we expected. They cleaned up each day. They are well worth the wait. They are booked months in advance so get on their schedule now. They have a lot of repeat customers. We will hire them again. Great work. Great people. Fantastic results. Seeing is believing. Truly awesome.”

“I am a real estate agent and have seen a lot of floors that were restored in my career so when it came time to have our travertine floors re-done we called several companies. I was very impressed with the promptness with Mitch calling us back and his knowledge when he came out to give us a quote. We decided to go with Mitch and I am so glad we did. My floors are beautiful! They look better than they did when they were first installed. Mitch and team are very professional, clean and when he tells you something he follows thru....he is great!! I will gladly give all my clients Mitch's phone number....they are the best!”

“We were considering tearing out and totally replacing our travertine tile because of cracks, holes and the ugly appearance of it when I found Total Floor Care. They came out and assured us that they could repair, clean and polish it to look like new again. They absolutely did exactly what they said they would do and more. The floors are beautiful now and they gave us proper instructions on how to care for them to maintain them. They were professional, personable, very efficient and are very hard workers. We highly recommend Total Floor Care!”

“Mitch and Mary came to our house looked it over spent some very nice quality time with my wife and I explaining the details in the process of what it would take to get our tired travertine floors to pop with a feel of newness. It was a two and a half day process upstairs downstairs and to watch the prep of getting ready for the transformation, Mary took a wire brush and cleaned each and every grout line amazing I had to go to work came back in town and oh my goodness how beautiful our floors looked was not able to give them a six star rating because five is the best they did a fabulous job thanks again guys, would highly highly recommend this husband and wife team to do your floors they drove an hour and a half just to come take care of us thank you again guys. Cary Shady”

“Mitch and Mary cleaned up our 20 yr old travertine floors with lots of wear from people and dogs and made them look as good as new. Filled multiple holes and hand-cleaned the grout in a large area. They communicated what they would be doing in advance each day, so we knew what to expect and were very quiet and mindful of us while working in the house. They are the owners and took full accountability for a quality job, and even took several additional hours to strip the floors where they found old sealant that had not originally been identified. They answered all of our questions, and were extremely pleasant to work with …highly recommend their services.”

“True craftsmen that love their work! And it shows on our 1972 brick floors that they restored. We did a large remodel and wanted to keep our old weathered brick floors. Mitch and Mary came in and worked their magic and the results far exceeded our expectations. The floor looks brand new ! We highly recommend our friends at Total Floor Care for their professionalism, expertise, and results !”
