floors 2 ur doors

Floors 2 Ur Doors runs a flooring store at 1533 E 19th St in Lubbock, Texas. George and Lori handle the operation and focus on tile installation along with carpet, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl and natural stone. The business keeps a showroom stocked with samples and also takes on bathroom remodeling work. They have handled flooring jobs for homes and commercial buildings in the area for over 28 years.

Homeowners have called on the crew for tile flooring installs, with George, Alex, David and Gabriel handling several of those jobs. Some customers needed new tile after other contractors left problems behind, and the teams finished the work while the house stayed occupied. Other jobs included laminate wood in a commercial space, vinyl plank after old carpet removal, and carpet replacement where the installers cleaned the area first. One customer had granite counters, backsplash and paint added during the same visit.

The crew arrives on time for most jobs and keeps the work moving without long delays. They confirm materials ahead of time, let customers know about weather holds, and clean up at the end of each day. Pricing often comes in below big box stores, and the owners stay available to answer questions at the showroom or during shop-at-home visits. Service stays limited to the Lubbock area with jobs sometimes finished ahead of the original schedule.

Google shows a 4.6 rating for the store. Reviewers keep bringing up the friendly installers, solid job quality on tile and other floors, and the owners who stay patient while customers sort through samples. A few noted issues with grout depth on tile jobs and missed appointments that required rescheduling.

“George, David and I think Gabriel we wonderful and easy to work with. They did everything in a very timely manner and my new carpet looks fantastic! Would definitely recommend!!”

“George and Alex installed tile flooring in our house and did an excellent job. They were always on time and worked hard every day. I was very satisfied and highly recommend this company.”

“This is my third time using Floors 2 Ur Doors over the past 10 years, and they’ve consistently delivered excellent service. From start to finish, they’re professional, attentive, and reliable. They make sure to follow up, confirm all the right materials, and check in both before and after installation. The installers were friendly, well-mannered, and cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. They even finished the job ahead of schedule! The showroom also makes the whole process easy when it comes to choosing flooring. I’m very happy once again and will absolutely continue doing business with them.”

“George and his team stepped in when another contractor faltered on my house renovation. He immediately got the plumbing working so the house could be livable, and then completed the renovation while it was occupied. George works with compassion and his work is top notch! He’s not the cheapest, but I know I’ll call him again because his work is RIGHT.”

“Different workers for different jobs within my home were all knowledgable, curtious, efficient. I was very pleased with the tile and planks they layed to the floor. Good business and would recommend”

“This business has done 3 jobs for us. All have been very satisfactory. I will call them the next time we need some floor work.”

“Wow, I'm glad I checked around and took the time to drive over and visit Floor 2 Ur Doors. I was blown away by all the samples in their showroom. The owners were very helpful and put up with my crazy questions. We ended up selecting a long, wide vinyl plank flooring. They brought the vinyl a couple of days ahead of the installation so it could acclimate to our home. The installation crew were neat., clean, pleasant and professional. They worked as a team removing the old carpet and cleaning the area well before starting the new vinyl installation. They did a super job with the install and made sure everything was perfect. Do yourself a favor and give these folks a shot at earning your business. BTW I saved a bunch $$$'s over the big box quote.”

“Our garage doors went from two doors to a single garage door which updated the appearance of our home. We are so pleased with the results. The professionalism by which the men worked was beyond fault. They worked efficiently, swiftly, yet maintaining the quality that we were wanting. They started early in the day and finished that evening before 5:00 p.m. (The belonging in our garage were never left unattended as they worked throughout the day). The painting of the new trim had to be postponed by one day due to rainy weather. They finished the following day as the weather improved. We cannot stress enough how pleased we are with our updated garage door and the workers that completed the task. We highly recommend Floors2urdoors and Dans Garage doors .”

“Everything with George and his team - from estimate to completion - was excellent. Lower price than the big box stores and with far better customer service.”

“George and Lori are the sweetest people. Very knowledgeable. Have an incredible selection and at a great price. If I ever need more flooring services, they will be my first call.”

“They took longer than expected but it was worth the wait. The guys are very friendly and easy to work with. I trusted them absolutely in our home even when we were not around Thumbs up!”

“Guys are efficient, professional, and in and out! Couldn’t be happier.”

“Dont let them install your tile. All the grout is about a 16th of an inch below the surface of the tile. Impossible to keep the white grout clean because everything just collects in there. The only thing I can do is scrub it with the brush on a regular basis and even then it's not good enough. Sucks to maintain. It looks like when he mixed the grout there are little bits and pieces of stuff in there too. All the edges by the baseboards look like crap. The guy didn't even finish some of it. This guy just didn't care. In fact, when I mentioned some of the screw things he was doing when tiling my shower he got pissed off at me. It was a fiasco. It is hard to find somebody to do tile in this town, but let me save you the trouble of going through this with these guys. UPDATE: Since I don't see a way to reply to the owners comments on here I can do an update. Yes it was three years ago . Big deal. I tried to shake it off but it's a constant headache. I already talked to you about it and you were also pissed off at me. You were more interested in defending your "independent contractor" than your customer. You deserve this review.”

“Was very happy with the work these guys done. They put in new flooring, granite counter tops, new backsplash and painted our entire house. Love Everything!! George and his wife were both very helpful on helping us make The best decision for what we want it! I will be using them again in the near future....”

“I had laminate wood installed in my commercial building, and it came out great! They were subcontracted out of lowes and I would recommend them to anyone. Their employees were two very respectful young men, they went above and beyond to make sure my floors were perfect. Thank you for such amazing work. They deserve more then 5 stars!”

“Lori and George could not have been more kind or helpful! I looked at DOZENS of samples and they were very patient with me! They had out floors installed ahead of schedule and did a fantastic job!”

“Floors 2 Ur Doors did an awesome job on my laminated woods floors. My entire living room and kitchen and hall were completed in 1 day!! They are also sub contracted through Lowes. I couldn't be happier with the service I received.”

“Was supposed to show up yesterday, no one showed up at the designated time. I called and the owner, George said "Sorry meant to call you, weather delay, can't make it." They did try to come later in the day but showed up at the exact time when I said I'd be leaving to get my kids from school. We reschedule for today, hardly any communication, and again a no-show. I've taken off time from work and other obligations for TWO days now and cannot believe how unprofessional this place has been. I will update/delete my review when/if this issue is resolved. Was texted & told they'd call me to update when I "calmed down." Pretty sure I have every reason to be upset at this point. I haven't cussed or been rude, just expressing my frustration.”
