Granite Design Center

Granite Design Center handles tile and stone work from their base in Richardson, Texas. Shadi and Mohammad run the crew along with Amir, Harold and Faye. They focus on countertops, backsplashes, fireplaces and full room updates that involve quartz, granite and other stone. Customers come to their showroom to pick materials and get measurements taken on site before the crew installs.

Reviews describe kitchen and bathroom countertops, tile replacement on fireplaces, custom cabinets, crown molding, lighting and painting across living rooms, offices and media rooms. Shadi and Mohammad handled a whole-house reset that included new sinks, flooring, texture and trim. Small jobs like cutting a stone remnant for a sewing table or a half-bath update also came up often, with the team rounding edges and finishing details to match the rest of the work.

The crew keeps homeowners informed at every step, calls ahead on any extra cost before doing the work and shows up daily to check progress. Jobs finish on short timelines, such as a bathroom completed in five days from showroom visit to install or a master bath done in a month. Prices stay reasonable and the team works cleanly even on bigger remodels that touch plumbing and electrical.

“If you're looking for a contractor who can truly transform your home, I highly recommend Shadi and Mohammad with Granite Design Center. They completely took our home from builder grade to custom, and we couldn't be happier with the results. They built beautiful custom cabinets in our living room, home office, his and her closets, installed crown molding, new lighting, chandeliers, and updated our fireplace with gorgeous tile. They remodeled our kitchen with new white pearl quartzite countertops, painted all of our cabinets, doors, and closets, and installed new hardware throughout the home. They also painted our media room, installed lights and created a stunning custom accent wall in our upstairs game room. One of our favorite additions was transforming an open space in our bar area into a beautiful custom entertaining space. They designed and built a custom wine cabinet on the front side and a liquor cabinet on the back, complete with display shelves at the top for showcasing our crystal and decorative pieces. It turned an unused space into a true focal point of our home. They also built a custom linen closet in our primary bedroom, added upper cabinets in all of our bathrooms”

“Amazing experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had such a wonderful experience with Granite Design Center! The owner was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely willing to help. I actually wasn’t there for a remodel. I had a little DIY project in mind—I wanted a piece of stone cut to transform an antique dresser into a sewing table. They were so generous in entertaining my little project and went above and beyond to help bring my idea to life. They cut the stone to my exact dimensions and even finished the corners with beautiful rounded edges for a polished, finished look. I really appreciated their patience, kindness, and willingness to work with a small, unconventional project. The finished piece is exactly what I needed, and I couldn’t be happier with how my sewing table is coming together! Highly recommend Granite Design Center, especially if you’re looking for a business that truly cares about its customers and is willing to work with you. ❤️”

“We had a great experience with Shadi and Mohammed and their team. They are wonderful to work with offering advice and accommodation with our schedule, reasonable prices, and perfectionism in their craft. Most our needs were countertops - we picked quartz - but we also replaced old tile on the fireplace. Everything was customizable as well. They are both professional and courteous and I would highly recommend this establishment.”

“I am so very happy with my new bathroom counters! They are beautiful. It was so easy to work with the guys from design to installation. I highly recommend this company. I entered their showroom and 5 days later, the job was complete.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing experience from start to finish. The team kept me informed every step of the way and explained exactly what they were doing before any work began. What really stood out was their honesty and communication. Whenever they found something unexpected, they didn’t just do the work and charge me—they called first, explained the situation, let me know the additional cost, and asked for my approval before moving forward. I really appreciated the transparency and professionalism. They also checked in regularly, kept me updated on the progress, and made sure I was comfortable with every decision. It’s hard to find a company that values communication and customer trust this much. The quality of the work was excellent, and the customer service was just as impressive. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a company that is honest, professional, and truly cares about their customers. Thank you for making the entire process smooth and stress-free!”

“Amir was a pleasure to work with from picking out the material to his guys coming to measure and install. All were very professional, and helpful. I would recommend them to everyone and use them in the future.”

“We learned about Shadi and Granite Design Center from a trusted friend. After meeting and gathering proposals from multiple contractors we selected Granite Design Center for a major remodel of our home. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The project included every room in our house excluding the 3 bedrooms. Shadi was very hands on and took the time to listen to our ideas, provided expert advice, and made thoughtful recommendations that elevated the final design. Communication was clear and consistent, with regular updates on the progress and any potential issues. In terms of budget, we were transparent and upfront that we were sticking to our budget. There were no large surprise costs, and Shadi worked hard to stay within our financial parameters while still delivering a beautiful outcome. Shadi has his team of trusted contractors and they all were genuinely easy to work with. This review wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t mention Enrique, Junior and Mango. They did phenomenal tile work! Overall, we highly recommend Granite Design Center to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled contractor. Their work transformed our home into a space that is both functional and st”

“The entire team was easy to work with. My project was small, only requiring a granite remnant and a small amount of tile. All work was done in a timely fashion and the team was great to work with. I would work with them again!”

“Granite Design Center in Richardson, Texas completed the remodeling of my half bath countertop. I went to their showroom where I was met with a warm friendly welcome. They showed me the available natural stone along with the various sinks to choose one. It was a small project and the price was appropriate. They completed the work 10 days later in just 2 hours tops. They called to ensure I was satisfied with the work. I am recommending this business.”

“We contracted Granite Design Center to fully remodel our master bath. Shadi and all of his subcontractors did a masterful job from start to finish. They worked tirelessly to complete our job in a month which was half the time some of the others said and at a fair price. The plumbing was expertly handled, the tiling results are superb, the custom cabinet is exactly what I envisioned and the wall prep and painting is flawless. We had an unexpected unrelated electrical issue and they were even able to take care of that problem for us. Shadi and his crew took pride in doing their work the right way to our satisfaction and provided help and guidance along the way. Our master bathroom came out even better than expected and we will be contacting them for any future needs as well. I highly recommend them for any remodeling needs. You can see the transformation in the before and after photos.”

“We remodeled our kitchen and bathroom with Granite Design Center. Our project turned out beautiful, and was very smooth. Shadi, his brother, and everyone else we came into contact with were professional, helpful and did great work. Everyone was helpful with design choices, decisions that had to be made due to structure limitations, and all the details that went with plumbing and electrical were all managed efficiently. Cannot say enough good things.”

“Shadi and his team have just finished a full top-to-bottom interior renovation of our house and we love it! This was a major re-set of our home. The work included new quartz countertops & sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms, tile and carpet flooring through-out, texture & painting ceilings, walls, trim and cabinets, tiling in the kitchen & the fireplace, etc. Our 30 year-old house now looks brand-new and beautiful. As a retired architect I know contruction can be a "bumpy road", this project never had any issues at all. Shadi made us feel at ease from the start. Advising us and helping us through it. Stopping by everyday to ensure everything was progressing well. He estimated construction would take 8 weeks which it did exactly. Throughout, the project stayed on schedule and in budget. Shadi has a team of trusted and skilled trade contractors who really know their craft and do quality work. The countertops fit perfectly, have minimal seams and the veining is carefully matched. The wood-look porcelain tile plank floors are thoughtfully layed, smooth with thin, even grout lines. The fire place tile is a masterpiece and all the wall tile is nicely finished off with shluter”

“Shadi and his crews are professional and quick. They have done six months of work on two months, and I have no idea how they pulled it off, but my ugly duckling house is now lovely. I can’t enough wonderful things about them. They have truly worked a miracle. They only use the best materials for the job and you can trust Shadi to steer you right. Everyone who wants a premium job for a fair price needs Granite Design Center. They are honest.”

“Shadi, Harold and their whole team was amazing! From start the finish, (countertops and backsplash), they were efficient, super knowledgeable and such hard workers. We will be using them again on our next project. Cannot recommend them enough.”

“I am thrilled with the exceptional work done by Granite Design Center, including Shadi, Harold, Faye & the entire team on my whole house remodel following a flood. Their team's efficiency, attention to detail, and commitment to timelines were great. The professionalism exhibited throughout the project, coupled with clear communication, made the entire process smooth. Not that there unexpected issues didn’t arise, but all were handled in a timely, respectable manner. My home now feels like a dream come true, thanks to their outstanding craftsmanship. I highly recommend Shadi & Granite Design Center for anyone in need of a reliable and skilled contractor for anything from a kitchen re-do to a whole house remodel. The finished product is amazing!”

“Had a great experience using Granite Design Center for my bathroom remodel. The team was very patient and friendly as they walked me through the options available. They got me a great deal on a stone remnant. Had the stone installed today and everything looks really great! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.”

“The team at Granite Design Center were amazing. This was our first big remodel and we didn’t really know what we were doing. Shadi and the team helped us from start to finish and showed a genuine caring. From the first day they came with really good advice and taught us a lot about the process. They gave us great advice and were a fantastic sounding board for any ideas we came up with along the way. Shadi’s hands on approach made us very confident throughout the process. He shows up on site every day to oversee subcontractors and ensures everything is completed up to his exacting standards. If we had questions or issues, we would bring them up with Shadi as our point person and he would make sure it was taken care of. We can’t thank the team enough for their professionalism and their craftsmanship. Our bathroom turned out better than we could have expected. We will be using them for all future renovations and I highly recommend them everyone. Their customer service really sets them apart. In a world where customer service is disappearing, it’s obvious that is one of their core tenants. Overall 100% great experience!”

“We’ve recently closed on a townhome and immediately engaged Granite Design to help us redo our counters and fireplace in the few weeks we had until our move in date. Shadi took our vision and masterfully brought it to reality well within our timeline. We are amazed with the quality of work/ attention to detail by him and his team, all while keeping a clean and organized work space during the process. We truly appreciate it. Highly recommend!”

“If I could give 10 stars ⭐️ I would. What a fantastic experience from start to finish. The quality, professionalism, dedication and expertise demonstrated by everyone on the team were second to none. Shadi’s years of experience, creativity and interior design sense were instrumental during our remodel. He was more than happy to come over and look at our kitchen, no strings attached, and give us his input on what may look good. I really wanted double ovens but the way our kitchen was set up did not allow for that and no matter how we planned the new layout, it wasn’t working. Shadi took one look at the space and came up with a suggestion that my hubby and I both loved. He didn’t have to help with that, after all what they were going to work on was the counters, but the fact that he did give input, suggestions and recommendations including references to local vendors and contractors about everything from appliances to backsplash and lighting shows just how much he cares about the customers and how much him and his team all love what they do. I can go on and on, but the bottom line is that Shadi, Harold, Sam and everyone else on the team have been nothing short of exemplary. Never ha”
