Johnson Custom Floors

Johnson Custom Floors operates as a family owned flooring business based in Southlake, Texas. The company provides tile installation along with hardwood, stone and carpet work throughout the DFW metroplex. It also handles bathroom remodeling and wood floor projects, and has maintained operations in the area for 18 years. Michael is the team member named most often in customer accounts of the work.

Homeowners describe projects that include new natural oak and white oak floors in existing houses, refinishing original oak in a 1908 home to match new sections, tile work for kitchen and bathroom remodels in a short-term rental, full shower replacements with custom finishes, flooring for new construction homes, and restoration after flood damage that involved insurance coordination. Several accounts note the crew completed these jobs on schedule while keeping the workspace clean and producing results that held up well over time.

Reviewers report that the team responds promptly, communicates clearly throughout each project, arrives on time, and maintains fair pricing. Service covers the DFW metroplex including North Dallas locations, with crews described as reliable and easy to reach for questions. Work occurs on both residential remodels and new builds without mention of specific daily hours.

Google lists a 4.9 rating though from zero reviews on that platform. The supplied customer accounts are nearly all positive and focus on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism, while one review described drainage problems after an outdoor kitchen installation.

“Johnson custom floors is, hands down, one of the best companies I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. From start to finish, they exceeded every expectation. They were incredibly fast, delivered outstanding quality, worked seamlessly with my timeline, and offered very fair pricing. Most importantly, they demonstrated true professionalism every step of the way. What impressed me the most was their honesty and integrity. In today’s world, that’s hard to find, and they earned my trust completely. I recommend Johnson custom Floors without hesitation—100%, all day, every day. If you’re looking for a company that does exactly what they promise and truly cares about their customers, this is the one.”

“We had a great experience with Johnson Custom Floors. They handled the flooring, kitchen & bathroom tile remodeling required to launch our short-term rental property in North Dallas, and the results exceeded our expectations. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail really elevated the overall look of the home. Guests frequently comment on how beautiful and well-designed the space feels, and the flooring and tile work are a big part of that. Professional, reliable, honest, and very easy to work with from start to finish. We would absolutely recommend Johnson Custom Floors to anyone looking for high-quality flooring or tile work.”

“This week marks a year since Michael and team installed our natural oak floors in our new (used) home. They’re as stunning today as they were a year ago and I am grateful every day we chose them. Natural hardwood=perfectly imperfect! Impeccable, patient, professional service - we would never even consider using anyone else. Many, many thanks again Michael!”

“Johnson Custom Floors did an amazing job on our home. From the start they were professional, responsive, and easy to work with. The crew showed up on time, kept everything clean, and the attention to detail on the installation was impressive. Our floors look beautiful and completely transformed the space. “Remodeling a house from 1908 with original oak floors. Needed to refinish the front half of the house and lay down new floors in the back half. Johnson Custom Floors came in and in 3 days they looked like they were all brand new. Highly recommend”

“Great experience with Johnson Custom Flooring! The service was stellar and the custom wood flooring really adds a luxury vibe to our small salon. We're obsessed!”

“They did a phenomenal job on our new construction home. They are reliable and very good with finishing work on time. Micheal is a good kid from the Carol ISD and I feel very comfortable taking to him about anything related to floors.”

“We had Johnson custom floors lay flooring for our outdoor kitchen and living area. They did an absolutely HORRIBLE job laying it. Every time it rains, our outdoor area gets flooded and pools in certain areas because they didn’t lay them at a slight slope towards the drains. I would not recommend or ever use this company for anything! Don’t just go with a big name, find a company that cares enough to do the job right.”

“I worked with this team on my own home after dealing with a flood-related insurance claim that involved extensive water damage. Coverage was initially limited, but they stepped in, helped navigate the insurance process, worked directly with the carrier, and made what could have been a stressful situation straightforward and manageable. Their guidance, responsiveness, and knowledge made a huge difference. The process was clear, organized, and efficient from start to finish, and the outcome was exactly what I hoped for a properly resolved claim and a fully restored, upgraded space. What stood out most was how hands on and communicative they were throughout the entire project. Having someone who truly understands the insurance side and construction side working together gave me confidence every step of the way. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing help navigating an insurance claim or improving their home.”
