AJ Remodel & Construction

AJ Remodel & Construction operates as a construction company focused on tile work from its base in Sugar Land, Texas. Jay leads the outfit, which also lists services in bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, cabinet making, carpet installation, flooring, and general contracting across the Houston area.

Customers report projects such as accent walls, half bath updates, laundry room refreshes, full kitchen remodels with custom stained cabinets and wine racks, primary bathroom renovations, shower and vanity replacements, water damage repairs, and complete home transformations. Jay and crew members including Luis review ideas with homeowners, offer layout suggestions, handle tile and color selections, and complete the work while incorporating changes as needed.

The crew arrives on schedule, maintains clean work areas, provides prompt email quotes with cost breakdowns, and keeps communication open throughout. Projects often start within a couple of weeks of signing, finish in periods ranging from two to eight weeks, and stay within agreed pricing even when adjustments arise. Service reaches Sugar Land and surrounding Houston locations during standard business hours.

Reviews give the company a 4.8 rating and repeatedly note strong craftsmanship, courteous and personable crew behavior, fast turnaround, and clean job sites on tile, kitchen, and renovation work.

“We had a wonderful experience working with Jay and his crew. We had recently moved into a new build and wanted to personalize some areas. I had pictures and ideas that I shared with them and they knocked it out of the park. They were very easy to work with. They gave me suggestions on what would look right, and let me pick color, tile, etc. We had 4 projects done, two accent walls, a half bath accent, and our laundry room. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to elevate spaces in their home.”

“I can’t say enough good things about A&J’s Construction Remodeling! From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and enjoyable. Jay and his team came out to my home to create a 3-D design that truly captured my vision for my kitchen and bathroom. They were always on time, kept the work area clean, and were respectful of my home throughout the project. The end result exceeded my expectations—my space looks absolutely stunning! “We worked with Jay and his crew for our recent kitchen remodel (custom stained cabinets, custom wine rack, soft close doors). We had some unique requests and were satisfied with the quality of work and communication. The team was detail oriented and quick to include us in the decision making process when something came up. They were a pleasure to work with.”

“RJS construction was a dream to work with. Jay came by to discuss the 3 smaller projects I wanted done. We bounced ideas off each other until we were both happy with the layouts for each one. I received a prompt price quote via email with a detailed list of costs. Unpin signing a contract we were able to get on the schedule within a couple of weeks. Communication from Jay meet my expectations (and I will admit they are high). Price wise he won’t be the cheapest (and he will tell you that) but the workmanship is excellent and worth it. Luis (the foreman) was an amazing person to work with and was very kind to my many many questions and even couple of changes. This is not my first home construction project but by far was the best experience. I already have plans to hire RJS construction for future projects. (Which is the best recommendation I could give them). Hire them you will not regret it.”

“I recently had the greatest pleasure of working with RJS Construction, based in Alvin, Texas, for a complete renovation of my home. Led by Jay and his crew, this talented team transformed my house into a beautiful living space within a remarkable 8-week timeframe. I couldn't be happier with the exceptional craftsmanship, clear communication, and reasonable pricing provided by RJS Construction. From the outset, Jay and his crew demonstrated their commitment to excellence. They showed a high level of professionalism, ensuring that every step of the renovation was meticulously planned and executed. Their attention to detail and dedication to quality workmanship were evident in every aspect of the project. Everything was perfectly leveled and squared. Throughout the entire renovation process, RJS Construction maintained open and transparent communication. Jay and his team kept me informed of the progress, promptly addressed any concerns or inquiries I had, and were always available to discuss the project's status. “We had RJS Construction do a primary bathroom renovation for us, so if you’re looking for a contractor I hope this helps you with your choice! A little back story we have ptsd from a previous experience after the Harvey storm (I’m sure a lot of people can relate to). We lost ~ 30k and didn’t get our home finished, so hiring a contractor gave us flashbacks needless to say. This company came highly recommended to us from friends that had done work previously by this company (though that didn’t make it any easier) but we had several conversations prior to actually meeting Jay for an estimate. What was shocking was that he volunteered his time to meet us an pick out the tile for our shower and floors at several locations prior to even signing a contract. He even bought us lunch and went over the entire project with us and even allowed us to purchase the materials using his account and discounts. From the beginning it was a great experience. They were knowledgeable in every aspect of the project. The crews were friendly, clean, and prompt. Even though we added a few things to the project they were able to accommodate them and still stay within our timelines Here’s a few finished pictur”
