Avatar Landscaping and Construction LLC

Avatar Landscaping and Construction LLC handles tree services from Allen, Texas. Eric runs the crew that takes on tree removal, trimming, pruning, stump grinding, planting and emergency work along with related tasks like shrub care. The company also handles connected work such as drainage fixes and hardscape additions when those jobs come up alongside the tree work.

Customers have described jobs where Eric and Girmaye pruned trees, raised canopies and thinned growth to bring in more light, cleared overgrown or sickly shrubs and plantings, then added fresh topsoil, new shrubs such as Cherry Laurels and mulch to finish the area. Other projects included sidewalk section replacement, branch removal and general yard cleanup ahead of deadlines. One job saw the crew finish a full drain in three days, do extra work to make sure it held, and then use leftover dirt to level low spots. Another crew cleared old shrubs and plantings, installed new ones, and spread mulch across the front yard.

The crew responds quickly, often the next week after an initial visit, stays in touch during the work, charges amounts that fit budgets and keeps going through rain or into evenings and weekends. They cover properties in the Dallas area and North Texas. Reviewers note that the workers show up early, stay late when needed, and clean up each day before leaving.

Reviews frequently mention solid craftsmanship, hard work and attention to detail on these tasks. DIRT Score 4.4 from 61 reviews on Finds.

“Absolutely amazed at the generosity and work pace, as they knocked out my entire drain in just at 3 days, and did more than originally talked about because he wanted to make sure it it was gonna work and work right. Then he took the leftover dirt and backfilled it over the low spots by the drain and made it look nice. 10/10 would recommend, hire them to get any landscaping/drain/etc work done!”

“I wanted to Thank Eric, Girmaye and the rest of his crew for doing such a great job on my large retaining wall. I had spent about 2 months getting around 7 different companies to get me quotes, half of which didn't even send me a response. Avatars was able to provide a good price that was right at my budget, and they were able to do the landscaping AND retaining wall work together.. something the other companies didn't want to do. Either one or the other. Heck, they even had a dedicated guy who works on sprinklers.. and helped identify issues with my sprinklers and fixed that all up. All of their workers are Very hard workers.. did excellent work, and even worked in the rain some days. Did a great job of keeping the work area as clean as possible every day. All of their hard work turned out great, Thanks again!!”

“Avatar was a pleasure to work with. The team executed my garden design beautifully. They were respectful, efficient and punctual. I can’t say enough about the high quality of their work and attention to detail.”

“Will be posting some before and after pics when my home internet is restored. This is the second time we have used Avatars for a major project and couldn't be happier with the results. Removed overgrown and sickly shrubs and plantings and added new composted top soil, new shrubs and two large Cherry Laurels as featured elements. Raised canopies and thinned trees to improve light and added beautiful mulch to highlight the whole front area. What a difference.Eric and his crew work hard to insure your satisfaction. Highly recommended for all your landscape design and installation.”

“Avatars Landscaping did a fantastic job taking our outdated yard and turning it into the outdoor living space of our dreams! They did a complete renovation of both our back and front yards including a 10 ft retaining wall, new horizontal fence, pool redo, travertine decking, outdoor kitchen, roof addition to extend our covered patio, electrical work, french drains, painting, tree trimming, landscaping and all the details that went with it! Eric and Girmaye were wonderful to work with throughout the entire project with their attention to detail, honesty and integrity. They always aim to please and make sure to do everything the right way! They went above and beyond from the beginning all the way to the end! We would highly recommend Avatars Landscaping!”

“We worked with Avatar on a backyard project that included redoing the artificial turf, pool hardscape and equipment, patio masonry flooring, and updates to irrigation and plumbing. Eric was a true professional — he listened carefully to our vision, offered thoughtful and creative alternatives, and was a problem-solver throughout the entire process. He was highly communicative, reliable, and great to work with from start to finish. Thank you to Eric and the Avatar team for an excellent landscape project.”

“This is the second time I have hired Avatar Landscaping to improve my outdoor space. They have done retaining wall work and Pavestone installation and repair in my courtyard. They do an excellent job and take pride in their work. Give Eric Mendoza a call. You will be glad you did.”

“We called in Avatar landscape to help clean up our yard, they did not disappoint! Pruning trees, hedging, weeding, branch removal, etc. I had a hard deadline for completion and they showed up every day early and worked long hours to get the job completed on time! They exceeded expectations and we brought them on for our weekly maintenance to our property. They show up every week and do such a great job keeping up with our highly landscaped yard. They are such hard workers and have pride in in what they do. Eric is very easy to communicate with, he frequently checks in and whenever I need something he responds promptly and I can trust the job will get done. They always go above and beyond and I cannot recommend them enough.”

“Eric and his team at Avatars Landscaping did an excellent job rebuilding my 130ft retaining wall in the back yard. They were available the next week following Eric's initial assessment. They were very professional and worked hard, sometimes into the late evening and weekends to get the job completed. Although replacing a 130ft retaining wall will never be inexpensive, his price was reasonable for the quality, attention to detail, and craftsmanship of their work. The foundation of the wall was built up first with rebar, cinder blocks, and reinforced concrete before the stone wall was completed for strength and stability. French drains were placed throughout the wall for proper drainage. I feel confident the retaining wall will last many years.”

“Eric of Avatar landscaping is very good person. He was working next door when I talked to him and hired him to do our landscape and flagstone work. He did an excellent job. We were very happy with his work and pricing. I would recommend him without reservations for all kind of landscape work. We wish him all the best.”

“I had Avatars install a new retaining wall and I couldn't be happier with not only the workmanship, but with every aspect of doing business with this company. Every person, both sales and the work crew were courteous and respectful of my property. They cleaned up every day and ultimately left my yard in better condition than when they started. I then also had them add some landscape items. They have honored their warranty (no problem with wall - some landscape items needed to be changed) and are a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommended them for both the retaining wall work and the landscaping.”

“Avatar landscaping did a phenomenal job on putting in a water feature (fountain) in my backyard. Eric's eye for detail and his effort to keep the costumer completely satisfied is above the majority of landscaping companies in the metroplex. Eric's prices were reasonable and he was extremely professional with his communication and timeline for the project. I took a chance on a company that I looked up on google, and Avatar Landscaping was worth it. I will definitely use them for many other projects that I have in the future.”
