Five Star Tree Service

Five Star Tree Service handles tree work in Amarillo, Texas. Dan Lucero runs the operation and oversees the crew on jobs that include tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding, and related bucket work. The company takes on both planned maintenance and emergency calls where trees have fallen or pose immediate risks to property. Dan Lucero and the crew bring their own equipment including large trucks and cherry pickers to handle the jobs on site.

Customers call them for removals after storms, trimming that shapes trees without harming nearby plants, and stump grinding that clears roots and levels the ground. Daniel and the crew finished one emergency removal with cleanup in three and a half hours while keeping damage to surrounding plants to a minimum. Dan and his team removed multiple trees plus stumps on larger properties, trimmed additional trees, and left the yards clear. Danny and three workers took down a cottonwood, ground the stump, cleared surface roots, and finished the lawn in an hour and a half. Crews also handled trees near houses that threatened foundations and removed invasive species the same day the call came in.

The crew responds fast to requests for quotes and arrives when promised. They communicate directly with homeowners during the work, keep prices reasonable, and make sure every branch and chip gets picked up before they leave. Jobs often finish in one day from start to final cleanup, and the owner himself works alongside the crew on bigger removals. Service stays focused on the Amarillo area with same-day responses noted on several calls.

“Daniel and crew came out for emergency tree removal. From estimate to finish including an excellent clean up was 3.5 hours. Lots of plants around and very little damage to any of them. Highly recommend 5 Star for tree trimming and removal. Workers were polite and very helpful moving some rocks away from the work area. GOOD JOB GUYS! Pricing very reasonable.”

“We have had two jobs done by Dan and his crew. They are quick to respond for a quote, show up when they say they will be there, which is unusual these days. All work was done as expected and agreed upon and they clean up every little branch. I would highly recommend 5 Star Tree Service. They can do it all, trimming, removal and stump grinding.”

“The owner was amazing. He was very through with explanations and worked well with our situation. He did a big job on our property removing 8 trees (4 stumps) and trimming 4 more trees. He had great equipment of his own and his crew was on top of everything making sure the job was done expeditiously and professionally. What's best and very unique is that the owner himself also put in a lot of work and carried a smile while he did it. His work ethic definitely stands out more than most. I would definitely call him again, 100%!”

He came right over and within an hour, his crew showed up driving a cherry picker. They had that monster of tree gone in an hour!
