“We are very satisfied first-time customers of Canopy Tree Service! Having ignored the trees in our front yard for years, we finally began a search for a company to trim back a live oak and a Red Oak. Limbs of the live oak were touching our metal root and reaching across our drive toward a neighbor’s roof. In addition to obvious potential for damage to two roofs, both oaks were blocking the sun and stunting the growth of two Mountain Laurels. After submitting a request on their well-designed website, I got a call back the same day; a representative scheduled an on-site visit the very next day for a free consultation. The Canopy Service rep listened to my requests for a simple “haircut” of the oaks, and then suggested further trimming of a few frost-damaged limbs and another that had been damaged by semi-trailers driving underneath. We agreed to a list of branches to remove, and we approved what we felt to be a very reasonable quote. On the day of the scheduled service, the techs arrived on time and ready to work. “I did a lot of online searching to find at least 3 tree service companies to come and bid for work on my residential property in Hollywood Park. I had been satisfied with work from one of them in the past, but I wanted to see how prices and tree knowledge would compare with others. I was only interested in companies that had a certified arborist who would be sent from the start to walk the property with me and do the estimate, and the companies had to have workman's comp for their employees and a lot of satisfied customers leaving comments on Google and wherever else. “After finding large branches had fallen on my roof I was calling every tree service I could find to check the tree the branches had come from and possibly trim it so I didn't have this happen again. I was fortunate to get a call back from Shane at Canopy Tree Service who came out the same afternoon, gave me an estimate and scheduled service for the very next day first thing in the morning. After getting several recommendations which pricing was about on-par with what I received from Canopy Tree Service, the deciding factor was the customer service responses from the other companies. There were some who received rave reviews, but the few unhappy customers received not so pleasant remarks from the owners. I didn't see that when I went through Canopy's remarks. And while they did an excellent job, there was an issue that cropped up. Shane was on site in under an hour, and moved forward immediately to get it resolved. No questions.
