D.A. Martinez Tree Service Inc

D.A. Martinez Tree Service Inc handles tree work out of Boerne, Texas. Mr. Martinez and Darwin run the crews that trim oaks and other trees, remove ones that are dead or leaning toward houses, grind stumps, and clear branches after storms hit. They send teams with trucks and chippers to properties in the area and over to San Antonio for rental homes too. Darwin often meets homeowners for a walk-through and gives a price right then, while the company stays insured for the work.

Homeowners call them when limbs hang over roofs or fences block access, and the crews cut carefully without hitting shingles or leaving scuff marks. Darwin explained jobs in detail on one visit and convinced a customer the team could handle tight spots between a house and fence. Other jobs included raising canopies on oaks, taking out a drying pecan tree, grinding stumps across a yard, and clearing storm damage from a street where trees came down. Crews showed up with enough workers and gear to finish fast, then ran branches through the chipper and blew the yard clean before leaving.

They answer requests the same day or within hours, schedule quotes quickly, and stick to the agreed price without surprises. Reviewers note the crews arrive on time, work through the day without delays from weather, and haul debris away at no extra charge. Service covers both small trim jobs and larger removals on big properties, with crews that stay friendly and follow safety steps. Darwin gets mentioned often for fast quotes that match or beat what others took days to provide.

Feedback stays consistent on prompt arrivals, solid results at reasonable cost, and yards left neat with no mess. Reviewers mention using them for repeat work on the same properties and for military discounts when asked. DIRT Score 4.8 from 188 reviews on Finds.

“Martinez Tree Services came out to trim our oak trees, they arrived exactly when they said they were going to be at our house. Our trees look FANTASTIC, they picked up and hauled off all the cut off limbs. The work crew did a final walk through to make sure nothing was missed and to our satisfaction. We've already discussed for Martinez Tree Service to come out again and highly recommend Mr. Martinez and his crew. --- Give them a call.”

“When I received a flyer from the city mentioning they would be coming to pick up branches, I thought I should take the opportunity to trim my trees—and these guys were a godsend! From the moment I called, the service was excellent; they answered all my questions. When Mr. Darwin came to my home, he provided a quote, addressed all my inquiries, and explained the work they would be doing in detail. Their knowledge and experience definitely convinced me to choose this company. My trees were a challenge—situated between the fence and the house—but they made it look easy! They brought plenty of equipment and a team of very friendly workers. They offered to haul away the branches for free in a huge truck, but I preferred to let the city handle that so these guys could move on to other jobs. I will certainly call them again because In my zip code (78247), the trees are old and need care from a quality company like DA Martinez Tree Service. Por último hablan español también y eso fue genial por que algunas cosas me son mas facil en español. Quisiera dar más de 5 estrellas.”

“Darwin came out on Thur and quoted me a reasonable price, and we agreed on Monday. A crew of two came out on time, and started on a large tree on the side of house and trimmed another tree. They did a great job, and I would not hesitate to call them again. I highly recommend them.”

“Excellent service, very professional and they cleaned up too. They came with big truck and wood chipper. Would definitely use this service again.”

“D.A. Martinez tree service did a fantastic job in grinding all the tree stumps on our property. They were on time, efficient and professional. I would highly recommend this company to do your yard work. And the cost was affordable. Thank you!”

“We have used The Martinez tree service for several years on a large property. Their company is extremely professional, reasonable and very quick to respond for quotes and appointments. We found them years ago after a storm took down many trees on our street and they came over immediately to clear out the damage. I recommend them for anyone who needs a large or small service.”

“I’m very satisfied with D.A. Martinez’s service. Darwin came to my house, we did a walk through, and he provided a price quote on the spot – which was essentially the same as I had received from a competitor which had taken 3 days to receive. My trees never looked so good. They have a woodchipper which is a plus in my opinion and they clean up the debris as they work through the yard. Highly recommend them.”

“These guys are awesome and military friendly. They did an outstanding job, showed up on time, ensured everything was done correctly, great prices, and wonderful people. I have found my go to people for Tree Service going forward. My Oak trees have never looked like the way they do now, I was pretty happy with the results.”

“We had a great experience with D.A. Martinez Tree Service. I reached out via their website for a free estimate and hears back immediately. They were great to work with, kept us posted on the status of our job, and got it done quickly. Our trees have never looks better!”

“This is the second time we’ve used DA. Martinez Tree Service to trim up limbs on our rental property in San Antonio and they’ve consistently done a great job for us. We appreciate their outstanding and fast service, and super prices too, and we are now loyal customers.”

“Couldn’t be more pleased with regards to service, quality, time management and cost. I text/emailed a request for tree trimming and/or quote to removal dead tree near home. With that said, customer service responded immediately and scheduled a time for quote. Mr. Martinez was on time for scheduled quote and provided answers to the questions or concerns that I had with respect to options. He was honest and gave me a competitive quote that we both agreed to and scheduled service the next day. The job consisted of two (2) and assured that all safety precautions would be followed to. The company is insured for provided services. As promised, the job remained on schedule and crew was amazing with removal and clean up. Any future tree services that I need for my properties I will definitely have Mr. Darwin, crew and Darwin Jr. be my service provider. Thanks again for the amazing service! Respectfully, Joseph Crespo Schertz home owner”

“Fabulous work. In less than 3 days, my trees had been trimmed and the canopy raised and the oak trees by my gate , that had succumbed to oak wilt, were removed. The landscape looks so nice and tidy . D. A. Martinez was very prompt and respectful and reasonably priced! I will hire them again!!”

“I highly recommend them. We needed to have our trees trimmed back to prevent squirrels from jumping on the roof. They came out same day for a quote and knew exactly what we needed. I guess it's a common thing this time of year! They able to schedule us a few days later. Also, their prices are GREAT.”

“Martinez Tree Service took out some large oak limbs that were over the roof of our house. They showed up right on time as promised at 0830. Three guys did all of the cutting. No easy task! Right after lunch 7 or 8 people showed up to handle the clean up. Once all the branches were out of the yard they put them thru the chipper while others brought the larger limbs and loaded them on a trailer. They then blew the entire yard getting all of the debris! They worked like a well oiled machine. I am extremely happy I chose them to do the job. No limbs hit the shingles, no scuff marks. I highly recommend anyone needing any trim ot removal to give Darwin a call. Kudos 👏”

“D.A. Martinez Tree Service removed a pecan tree that was drying out and could possibly fall on our house and trimmed another to avoid the same. Excellent service. They showed up on time. The agreed upon price was the total charge. They removed all the debris and cleaned up once complete. I highly recommend them to anyone considering a tree removal or trimming.”

“Very pleased with the work done. I will definitely recommend to friends and family. The crew was on time and no mess left behind. They did major work on our larger tree and cleaned up our smaller trees.”

“I am very pleased with the team and the job they did. They were in and out (with one delay but I can understand them not wanting to trim trees in the rain). The price was exactly what the estimate was and was lower that the other quotes we got. I am already planning on having them come back in the fall for maintenance.”

“The best I’ve had in 10 years here. Prompt, professional, friendly and service and price as excellent. Excellent equipment. Saw my neighbors using them and I’m glad I called Darwin. You won’t regret it!”

“Truly the best. Honest work for a good price. I’ve had this company come out a couple of times and do a variety of work for me besides trees. The first time I used them my giant oak fell over onto my house. They were fast and so kind.”

“If I could give them 6 stars I would. Extremely affordable and reasonable pricing. Quality work! Excellent level of customer service. Highly recommended. When the workers arrived they noticed that the wind had blown my recycling can lid open and block boxes out of the bin. They not only picked the boxes up and put them back in the can but they brought my green bin up and put it away and after they were done they brought my blue bin back up as well. Something you don't expect everyday from any business that comes to your home. The job they completed for me was done on time, quickly, and done very well. I will be using them for as long as I am in the San Antonio area and will be exclusively recommending to anyone who needs tree services. They even trimmed and piled the firewood I asked for to keep! Thank you Mr Martinez and your team!”
