Sticks Tree Service, Inc.

Sticks Tree Service Inc handles tree work out of Cypress Texas. They take care of removals in emergencies, pruning, and stump grinding for both homes and businesses around Houston and nearby towns. Trey and Cordell, a father and son, run the show and oversee the jobs from start to finish. The company stays licensed, bonded, and insured while serving commercial and residential spots in the area.

Customers bring them in to trim large oaks and pines, remove trees that lean over houses or got damaged in storms, grind out old stumps, and shave roots that cause problems. Reviews note they keep limbs from dropping on fences or landscaping by using proper methods, clean up every bit of debris, and avoid spiking the trees. Trey and Cordell walk the site with owners first, explain the plan, and make sure the crew follows through without surprises.

They get back to people fast, often the next day or within a week, send out clear estimates, and stay in touch through the job. Prices come in reasonable according to multiple accounts, the crews work efficiently, and they cover spots like the Woodlands and Katy too. Work gets done with full cleanup so the yard looks untouched when they leave.

Most customers give them top marks with a Google rating of 4.8 from 75 reviews. Common points are the clean results, fair costs, quick response, and solid supervision by the owners. One review noted an issue with damage to neighboring property during a trim.

“I am a returning customer of Sticks Tree Service, and as always extremely pleased with their work. A thorough walk through of each tree is performed with the owner Trey, and he just knows what needs to be done. He effectively communicates to his team and there are no surprises with the end product. If you are searching for a company that is honest, and delivers a great result, you have found it with Sticks Tree Service!”

“Sticks is a great company to do business with. They trimmed our trees and took down a big tree for us and they did a great job, and cleaned everything up and were very reasonably priced. We would definitely use them again.”

“We’ve used Sticks for 25+ yrs. They have done dangerous large tree removals, pruning of large trees, stump removals, and even removed a tree off our roof after a storm. They don’t use spiked shoes on the trees either. Fast, clean, safe, and fair priced! Father-son team - Trey and Cordell, bid and supervise the work. We trust Sticks!”

“These guys are excellent job, I was so impressed which is not easy because honestly sometimes good help is hard to find and you always take a chance when you hire someone new. They are my go to tree trimmers from now on… They did my crêpe myrtles and my trees. They cleaned up and were very polite and professional..”

“Edit to respond to owner-- I do not need anything from you. It took you a year to respond to this review so I do not doubt the other bad reviews that say you do not respond or show up timely. As far as all of my reviews being negative, that is not true . Anyone can look at my profile and see lots of 5 star reviews. Although, I do believe in holding negligent businesses like yours accountable for the damages they cause to other people's property . This company damaged my property while trimming my neighbor's tree. Instead of using the proper method to keep limbs from falling on my fence and landscaping, they just let the cut limbs fall onto my property and do damage. When I caught them in the act they acted as if they didn't understand me. They clearly understood because they started using the right method of roping the limb so it couldn't fall on my property, then using a long hook to bring it in and lower it slowly. Finally, I was able to get one of them to talk to me and he didn't seem to care about the damage he caused. All he said was that when they finished they would come clean it up. My banana trees are damaged and they broke my backyard lights that were strug on my fence. ”

“Exceeded expectation of what I needed done and what was done. The crew took down my 20 year old pine at my neighborhood house, and the price and service so good, I had them come out to some acreage and grind down 4, 30 year old oaks blown over uprooted stumps. Now I know who to call next time. Thanks!”

The crew did a fantastic job and all of the tree debris was entirely cleaned up and removed. Sticks has our highest recommendation.”

“Trey and the Sticks crew were very professional as they did an amazing job in tree trimming, removing a small crepe myrtle by the house and grinding the stump, as well as taking care of a few exposed ground limbs on my big oaks! They were able to give me an estimate and take care of my trees within just a week! Thanks Sticks!”

“I cannot say enough good things about this company. Professional, punctual, and perhaps the best customer service I have experienced since moving back to Houston. I needed my oak trees in the front of the lawn trimmed and I have a tree in the back lawn that was growing dangerously close to my house. They made sure to carefully cut back the tree in the back yard and were extremely careful of the fence, flower beds, and my pool (which was in the path of the falling limbs). I highly recommend Sticks and will be using them for all my tree needs in the future.”

“I’ve used Sticks a hand full of times and have always been pleased with the service and price.”
