Valkyrie Tree Service

Valkyrie Tree Service runs out of Denton, Texas, with Michael Fox as the owner. The company handles tree trimming, removal of dead or damaged trees, stump grinding, brush clearing, and full debris haul away after each job. Michael meets homeowners on site to assess trees like Bradford pears and oaks, then lays out options that include trimming instead of full removal when that fits the situation. Crews use the equipment needed for work on single yards or larger acreage properties.

Homeowners have called on the service to take down large elms and oaks next to houses, grind stumps flat, and clear leaning trees in tight spots without hitting fences or garden beds. Michael and the crew have trimmed multiple trees across several properties for repeat customers, cut wood to requested lengths for stacking, and left woodchip mulch behind. They have also handled storm cleanup by removing limbs from driveways and performed brush clearing along with minor trimming that leaves the remaining trees looking healthy.

Reviewers say Michael returns calls and provides quotes the same day, with work often starting the next day or even sooner when schedules allow. Prices come across as fair and competitive, and the crew shows up on time, keeps in touch while the job runs, and finishes fast even during hot weather. Cleanup gets special mention because the team removes every branch and leaf, leaving yards cleaner than before the work began.

The Google rating sits at five stars from thirty one reviews. The same points appear often: careful work around existing landscaping and structures, clear explanations of cuts, and consistent follow through on both small trims and big removals.

“My experience with Valkyrie Tree Service was fantastic! Michael Fox, the owner, came out to my house on a Sunday in August to look at my 21 year old Bradford Pear tree. He gave me an honest assessment on its condition and the options he could offer. The refreshing part was that he spoke with me honestly, but more importantly, he listened to my thoughts on the tree. He did not press me to take the tree down, as I was not sure if that was what I wanted to do at the time. He gave me his opinion and options which included just trimming the tree, rather than take if down. Also he explained that if I choose to trim the tree, he recommended not trimming the tree until November when the tree was dormant. My tree had recently lost a couple of large limbs and Michael explained it would be best not to stress the tree further by trimming it before it went dormant for the winter. I was surprised thinking in my mind there was no guarantee that I would call him back several months later to trim the tree. My ultimate decision was to go ahead and take the tree down and greatly appreciated Michael's honesty in his assessment of the tree. Michael and his team came out the following week (on”

“Michael and his crew were amazing! We recently had a large tree removed from our small back yard. They were so careful working around our garden and pet runner fences. I requested to keep the wood. He cut the pieces within my requested size and stacked it off to the side. There is no sign of the stump and now I have woodchip mulch! Michael was prompt and maintained communication throughout the process.”

“Just AMAZING & cannot say enough good things about this team. We had several other companies offer proposals, agree to work times, and then completely ghost us when it came time. Valkryie came through with SAME DAY appointment and worked really late to assure the job was done properly to meet our deadline. So grateful for these guys & the hard workers they are!!”
