Hippie Tree Care

Hippie Tree Care runs tree service operations in League City, Texas. AJ and Shawn handle the assessments and estimates along with the actual trimming, pruning, removals, and stump grinding. They also apply lawn treatments using their own fertilizer mix on properties that need it after tree work finishes. Customers reach them for both small jobs like palm trimming and larger ones that involve tall pines or trees near structures.

Reviewers note Shawn cut dead branches from a forty to sixty foot pine without damage to anything below and removed a dead tree next to a koi pond while covering the water to keep debris out. AJ pruned oaks, maples, and citrus trees while listening to specific requests about which limbs to keep, then ground stumps flat so new grass could take hold. Other jobs included trimming live oaks to improve health and appearance, cutting back a large elm quickly, and handling a small trim followed by plans for bush removal.

The crew shows up soon after calls, answers questions about tree condition in plain terms, and keeps prices reasonable for the scope of work. Cleanup gets mentioned often because they remove all wood, leaves, and sawdust before leaving. Communication stays direct throughout each job and the work stays efficient from start to finish.

The business holds a five star Google rating from thirteen reviews. Points that come up repeatedly cover knowledge of different tree types, careful methods that avoid harm, and solid results that last. DIRT Score 4 from 13 reviews on Finds.

“Could not be happier with the work That Tree Guy did for our live oak trees. They were professional in their assessment and estimate, and their pricing was more than fair. They were timely, efficient, cleaned up well, and exceeded our expectations on the quality of work done to our trees. They listened to what we wanted and we trusted them with our valuable assets. Our home's curb appeal went up many notches, and the health of our trees was protected and enhanced. Anyone with a saw can butcher a tree, but it takes a group like That Tree Guy to do it right!”

“Shawn is very knowledgeable and very responsive. He trimmed two oak trees one maple and a birch. The pine tree was my difficult job it must have been 40-60ft where I had dead branches. He was able to defy gravity cut the limbs and absolutely no damage. He took took care in cutting and removal and cleaning up all the debris, leaves etc. As if nothing happened.”

“AJ knows trees. Anyone can cut limbs. Not anyone can do it correctly. There is a right way to prune a tree and AJ does it well. He will also consider your own ideas. I followed his recommendation and my wife and I also had a few specific areas we wanted kept a certain way. He respected our specific ideas of what we wanted to achieve in a few areas. He collaborates well with you and does an Awesome Job! We also had a tree that needed to be removed. He did an amazing job with the cleanup and getting the stump grounded down. We were able to plant grass over the area and it filled in well. You would never know there was a tree in that area. Thanks AJ for a job well done!”

“Shawn was absolutely professional. He took extra care and attention in surgically removng a dead tree that was precariously close to a network of plumbing for our koi pond, which is the jewel of the entire backyard. Shawn made sure the pond was tarped so the wood shavings didn't make their way into the koi habitat. I was so impressed with his work that I would consider using anyone else in the future.”
