T Rex Stump Grinding

T Rex Stump Grinding takes on stump grinding and removal jobs from McKinney. Rex and Dan run the work and handle stumps of all sizes left behind after tree cuts, including oversized ones over five feet across that need deep grinding to allow new plantings.

Homeowners bring them in when old stumps block backyard projects or new gardens. Rex has ground two large fruitless mulberry stumps in one visit and turned them into usable mulch piles. Dan has handled same-day calls for front yard stumps and worked around gas meters without damage. Customers note Rex adjusted one job on the spot when he found a rotten stump and offered a partial refund because less time was needed.

They return calls the next day or same day and send quotes after photos come in. Rex and Dan confirm arrival times by text or phone, show up on schedule, and finish most jobs in under two hours even when multiple stumps are involved. Pricing stays reasonable next to other bids they receive, and the crew cleans every site before leaving. Work reaches spots across the Dallas area.

The outfit carries a 4.9 rating from 50 reviews. Reviewers keep noting the clear updates, honest dealings, and the way yards stay neat after the machine finishes.

“I was considering removing a large stump and doing the job myself. I was going to rent the equipment and save some additional expense. In the process of my research, I found TREX Stump Removal Service. After seeing and reading all the customer reviews, it was just a matter of contacting Rex for a quote and a time frame before I made my final decision. Rex returned my call the next day, provided me with a quote based on the photos I had sent him, and said he could do the job within the next couple of days. His quote was within my budget and very reasonable. Rex arrived this morning and within two hours had completed the removal. He did an excellent job and cleaned up the entire area when he finished. Rex is a very likable and friendly individual, and a man of his word. I was impressed with his job skills and his character. If you read this review, please consider hiring this man when and if you are in need of stump removals. You will be pleased with his price and his work. He has the equipment, the skill, and the know-how to get the job done... Jim Martin”

“A friend of mine recommended Rex to me recently when we were redoing our backyard. I like to generally support small local businesses and I was even more happy to find T Rex Stump Grinding is Aggie owned and operated. It's always great to see young entrepreneurs who are so motivated. Rex did an absolutely fantastic job helping us get rid of some old stumps that were remnants of the previous owners' yard. I'm so very looking forward to our new garden- we couldn't have done it without you Rex! Great chap- very cordial and professional. His communication was great and he kept us in the loop about arrival time and was in and out without a damper on our plans. Good luck Rex!”

“T Rex Stump Grinding did an AMAZING job grinding up the two stumps in our front yard! We called them this morning and Dan was able to come by today. He was punctual and very professional and very nice! We are so happy to have called T REX Stump Grinding! The price was very reasonable too! Very good experience!!”

“T Rex Stump Grinding was fantastic and I highly recommend! I recently had a large oak tree removed but the remaining stump area was too large (over 5 feet diameter) to proceed with our efforts to re-landscape our yard. Rex was able handle our custom request- a deep grind that would allow us to plant a 100 gallon tree in the same area. He was quick to respond to my quote request, was timely and professional with email & phone communication and arrived promptly at time he committed to. Prior to starting and finishing, he confirmed with me to ensure alignment on expectations- he exceeded those expectations. Thank you Rex!”

“Truly one of the most professional person I have ever dealt with. If for any reason your needing stump grinding- this is the person to contact. Very prompt - always on time and keeps you consistently updated. Highly recommended and very fair pricing. I contacted 4 other companies for bids and once I talked to Rex I knew he was the person for the job. Thanks for everything and a wonderful experience. BTW Rex has a beast of a machine that will handle any job you throw at him, unlike most competitors using the rent by the hour Home Depot specials.”

“We had two very large fruitless mulberry stumps that Rex tackled with his stump grinding machine, which left the perfect mulch. He did a great thorough job from start to cleanup. We will use T Rex Stump Grinding again as we are very pleased with his work and his reasonable price.”

“T Rex Stump Grinding did a great job removing the huge stump. From the time we called them, they were very communicative and they completed the job in record time. Everything was cleaned up and left in a nice pile of shavings. Dan was great to work with and we would recommend him to anyone who asks about stump grinding.”

“Rex was very professional before, during, and after the service. Rex gave me a bid and when he was performing his work he stopped and attempted to refund part of my fee as he discovered the stump was rotten and would not require as much time as he anticipated. His honesty and integrity was above reproach. I would recommend Rex to m family and friends without hesitation.”

“I had Rex remove two stumps from my backyard. After removing them, he took extra time to ensure wood chips weren't scattered throughout the yard. His attention to detail is very much appreciated. Rex is a very honest and dependable guy, and I would definitely recommend him if you have stumps that need to be removed.”

“T Rex was quick to respond to my request for service. Quoted me a fair and reasonable price to grind down a stump. Day of job, Dan showed up on time and was very nice. The job ended up being a little more complicated than originally thought, but Dan worked around the issues at hand a did a great job. It ended up costing a little more, but I still consider it extremely reasonable for the time and effort it took. I would use them again!. Thanks, Angela B”

“Rex was so professional in his communication and timeliness. I called Rex because we had some large trees cut down by a well known tree company and they would never come back out to grind our stumps after several calls and failed attempts to get scheduled. Rex answered my call, gave me an estimate, and showed up when scheduled. He called and confirmed the day before and even texted me letting me know when he got to our house (we were gone at work). He did a great job grinding down the stumps and had everything cleaned up into a nice pile. We will definitely be referring our friends to T Rex Stump Grinding as we were very pleased by the work that was done!”

“We hired T Rex to grind out 2 stumps in our yard based on the reviews and price and they did not disappoint. Rex did a great job getting rid of the stumps and left the yard in great shape. The process from start to finish was communicated well. If you are looking for a dependable company that does excellent work I would recommend you give them a call.”

“Rex is great! So professional and polite. Did a wonderful job on three different stumps. He has the skills and the equipment to do a great job. I am so pleased. Very good prices, and he is completely reliable. I am pleased. Highly recommend him.”

“I give TRex an A+! I had them remove a number of trees, shrubs and stumps from my yard. They did a really good job at a very fair price. Dan, the owner, is awesome. He communicates well. And, he is "old school" - I mean that he really takes the time to explain everything and wants to make 100% sure you are satisfied. In a time when so many contractors don't communicate well, do a poor job, etc, this was a breath of fresh air. Thanks Dan!”

“I could not be happier. Just purchased a new home in Richardson and my plan was to get the exterior looking good before the hot weather got here. I had a long list of things to do to achieve this and I wasn't looking forward to finding all the services and companies I was going to need. Being new to the Dallas area I was basically starting from scratch. I'm sure you know what I mean. You call these people not really knowing for sure what you're going to get. That's why we read reviews, and then hope that there true. I guess I just got lucky with Rex and was compelled to write this review. Rex handled everything simply and professionally. His only motivation seems to be completing a Great job in every way and making his customers happy, period. Wouldn't it be great if all companies operated this way? The bottom line was that removing the large stump in my front yard has been the easiest part of my whole project. Awesome job, good guy. Thanks Rex, I really appreciate all your hard work and far exceeding my expectations.”

“I only have good things to say about Dan and T Rex Stump Grinding. He took care of 12 stumps as well as some bushes in less than two hours. Friendly, professional, fair price, and a pleasure to work with. Your search for a stump grinder service should end here. Give Dan a call or email and you won’t regret it.”

“Rex did a great job grinding down the tree stump. He didn't mind that I wanted to watch the stump grinding machine work. I told him to not worry about cleaning up the debris afterwards but he insisted that it was part of his job and that I couldn't talk him out of it. He was very professional and had an overall great attitude. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to everyone I know.”

“After reading the google reviews, I reached out to Rex and he did not disappoint! After a phone call and a few follow up texts/sending him a picture of the stumps, Rex was able to give me a quote within minutes. Rex showed up on time and was super friendly and cautious since these stumps were near a gas meter. Rex made sure to explain everything and make sure I was satisfied with his work. If you're looking for stump removal services, you cannot go wrong with the T Rex!”

“From start to finish, every aspect of working with Rex was excellent! * promptly returned my call and set up a appt to review the job on the same day * provided a fair quote for the work to be performed...and stood by the quote * performed the job as agreed, on the day agreed, in a timely fashion * cleaned up the work area beyond what was expected Beyond that, Rex was a pleasure to work with.
